Hi, I’m trying to play Xbox 360 games on my Series X, but I cannot log in, keep saying to try network testing, but on my original Xbox 360 and Xbox One X everything is working. Does anybody have simillar issue ?

Couldn't find this ranking on my PC Xbox app.. the games are Killer Instinct, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Marathon, Rainbow Six Siege, Battlefield 6.. if anyone can give me their ranking in popularity/most played I'd seriously appreciate it.

I don’t know if anyone else is having this issue. It happens on clips and screenshots. My capture settings are high so I am not sure if that’s the reason why I keep getting errors when I try to edit them.

I just finished setting up my new Xbox but I’m having trouble with the Microsoft Store App. It has been stuck in its start-up installing period for nearly an hour and hasn’t made any progress. I’ve tried resetting the console and doing a power cycle, but it refuses to cooperate.

I can’t even pause the thing anymore. And when I attempt to cancel the update it stops working entirely until I reset the console.

Is there any fix to this at all?

Like I said my xbox series x gets loud on newer gens game becoming very noticeable to hear it is only one year old and is cleaned very regularly. It is a white digital only xbox series x. I was wondering is this an issue some games its way to loud which I chalk up to them being not optimized well. Some of them get louder but it is not hearable with others getting so loud that once I take my headphones off it is noticeable it is coming from the xbox. The console goes quiet a couple seconds after closing the games is this normal behavior?

Hello everyone just wanted to share my experience real quick. So unfortunately a few years ago I made the mistake of buying a series 2 elite controller. It's worked fine but recently the RB trigger stopped working so I decided to order a service replacement from Microsoft.

The replacement arrives and the stick drift on it was so bad that the controller was genuinely unusable. Not to mention the RT and LT triggers were unresponsive. I had to send it back to be replaced with a new service order (which was free), anyways today I open up the 2nd replacement controller and it's arrived with the rubber grips on the handles almost completely peeled off. The LB trigger also doesn't work and the controller is dirty af. Now when I try to make a service order to get it replaced Microsoft wants me to pay $120.

I understand that when you do a service order you are getting a refurbished controller and that's fine, but to me this is totally unacceptable. The elite 2 gotta go down as the worst controller ever made lol. The worst part about it is that I can't get a refund for it through the website, and there seems to be no way to contact microsoft for support in australia. Every support page just links to a different page where all you can do is talk to an AI chatbot, who refers you back to the support page. The AI agent on their support phone line even hung up on me. Very frustrating experience.

A few folks had reached out regarding persistent issues with downloading their profile and/or signing in with Xbox 360 games running in Back Compat mode on Xbox One/S/X or Xbox Series S/X consoles. Folks with access to cloud gaming or other consoles would note that this issue seemed to be console specific: they were able to log into back compat games on xCloud or on other Xbox One/Series consoles, but specific consoles were unsuccessful.

The team has been investigating and working on this issue and deployed a patch yesterday which identifies consoles in this state and then fixes the issue on the service side. Reaching out to several impacted customers, we are hearing back that they are no longer impacted. Because this process requires the service to identify the issue as the failure occurs and then apply a backend fix, there is often a short delay. An example of what folks have been typically experiencing would be:

• Launching a back compat 360 game resulting in a profile download/sign-in failure (which may be a different failure screen/code than previously observed).
• Force quitting the 360 game and then waiting a period of time (10-15 minutes, but can take longer).
• Relaunching the game, after which the profile downloads and sign-in is successful.

If you try these steps and are still encountering persistent failures/errors/timeouts in downloading or signing into your profile for Xbox 360 games running in back compat mode, please shoot me a DM.

So a few days ago my Xbox one wouldn't let me sign in, I would get a "please try again" pop up with the error code 0x8027025a. I goggled the code and followed all the steps on the Xbox support page. I checked the support page, everything looked fine, I tried waiting a few seconds and trying again, and I tried restarting my console. I even tried hard resetting by holding the power button until it turned off, I even tried that again in addition to unplugging it.

I thought about doing a factory reset but it won't even let me open the settings. It just gives the same error code. I have no idea what else to do

Also, if it is broken, what could have caused it?

Wondering if anyone knows the fix for this. Been playing Xbox with friends. I'm on PC they are on console but I don't think it matters on their end. Out of the blue, I can no longer send them Xbox party invites (voice chat) or receive their invites. It worked 2 days ago, and for months prior and then just stopped. I tried everything I could find on Google but cannot get it to work. Can send and receive invites on mobile app but just not on the PC. Anyone know a fix?

Side note: one of the "fixes" told me to sign out of my Microsoft account on the Xbox app and Microsoft store app and sign back in. Which I did but now I also can't sign into the Microsoft store app anymore at all. Just keeps freezing on the "just a moment" screen.

Side note 2: it tells me to go into settings - apps - installed apps - Xbox app and click the 3 dots and repair. Anytime I click the 3 dots in that settings menu, it freezes and I have to close the window. On any app not just Xbox. So cannot perform that repair.

Appreciate any help if anyone has ideas. Super annoying.

my xbox makes this crazy whirring noise that if i get on any game it starts up like crazy. kinda correlates with the speed of the fan but i just literally cleaned the fan and also screwed it back tightly so i’m kinda stumped on this one. please help me

Hello all, I've been having issues with my Heartbreaker wireless controller. I bought it last year, but don't use it too regularly.

I was playing RDR2 today, and out of nowhere the controller turns off. When I turn it back on, the only buttons that work are the triggers and joysticks.

I've updated it 3 times in the past week. Twice today, and once 2 days ago after the same thing happened but with only the d-pad and letter buttons.

Now it's saying no updates available, but it's still not working. I've tried syncing it again (which, sometimes the buttons work for only 10 seconds after resetting before the issue returns).

I've tried plugging it in to the Xbox. I've replaced the batteries.

I know it's not a physical issue because as previously stated, the buttons will register for like 10 seconds after I turn everything back on.

I'm at a lost. Seriously.

OK, so I am quite over this Xbox. I have a Xbox one and it’s somehow has an issue with randomly signing me out. It happened once and I had to make a whole new account because I could not sign in, but this time I was signed out randomly, and when I tried to sign in again, it was taking me into the steps of making a new account. I reset my console and turned it off for a couple days to see if that might fix the issue, but when I went back to try and sign in again. It would still take me through making a new account.

I know for a fact that the email I was using was linked to that profile because I specifically made an outlook for that profile after the first incident with my other profile. The only game I really play the Sims so I assumed that I could just make a new account so I removed the old profile from my game mostly to see if I could sign back in, but I eventually gave up and made a new account hoping that everything that I bought for the Sims was still there. Turns out the maker packs don’t transfer like the expansion packs so essentially I wasted money on add-ons that aren’t even able to be transferred so now I have nothing.

Somehow, I used the same email and password for the new profile as the one I used for the old one which I don’t think should be possible because it wasn’t deleted. I looked up my game tag and it’s still a person you could friend so it’s still out there so unless I somehow used a whole different password and email for that, it just doesn’t seem right to me. I’m trying my hardest to try and get back into this profile, but I low-key think I’m cooked. This is also my first time posting anything in any group so if I’m rambling, please don’t judge. I’d like as many suggestions and possible solutions.

I’ve been having problems with the Xbox mobile app on my iPhone. Every time I try and use the party chat on the app while using my Bluetooth earbuds people in the party can hear me talk but I can’t hear them. I’ve deleted the app, I’ve left the party and have a friend start one. And it still will not work. I use discord, the ps5 private chat with no problems. It’s just the Xbox mobile app. I’ve tried every piece of advice that I’ve found online. I’ve tried contacting Xbox support, every time I request a callback they keep hanging up on me. This has been going on for weeks.

Leaving this here for anyone who may need it: unplug any USB devices and try again; this did the trick for me.

When I first logged onto Xbox I used the tag "DIRTV JT"... That's every bit of 20-25 years ago lol. But somewhere along the way I must have misplaced my log in info or created my current gamer tag "InferiorJoint" because as I powered on a new to me series x (I haven't powered on a console in the better part of a decade) and used the login info I created to prepurchase GTA6 the tag that came up was "InferiorJoint". Buuut, by going through Joint's friends list there's my old DIRTV name! It still exists!!! I tried using what I thought could be the log in for it, but that's literally ancient history... Is there a process for getting the DIRTV JT tag back? It'd be bad ass to have my old tag to log into GTA 6 for the first time. Thanks.

So in context I paid for game pass like 5 months ago, but the problem is that I got a refund even though I never requested one, I was still able to use game pass, and now the credits I used for it are in my account. I'm just asking why and if it's okay if I use them or wait to see if they take them away.

I’m completely lost on where to ask about this so I’m hoping this is the right group. I just got my Xbox last year and my Roku tv around the same time. I thought it was my Xbox constantly freezing for “high” res games, but I’m now thinking it’s my tv. You can hear everything in the Xbox moving or playing like it’s supposed to still. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know what to do or why this would be happening?

Something is wrong with my series X. It has recently given overheating messages. I cleaned all the dust out and then after that the fan was not working properly. It would stutter and still overheat. I have tried replacing the fan and now the new fan doesn't turn on at all. I am not a tech savvy person, I dont want to mess it up even more. I don't have the funds at the moment to take it to a repair shop either. Would putting a small fan on top of the vent work or laying it down and having the fan blow inside?

Edit: I unplugged the new fan and plugged in the old one. The old one still doesnt spin properly but it tries to work where the new one does nothing. Is the new fan defective?

So I'm currently redownloading Star Wars Battlefront 2 into my series X, and everything went normal at first. The moment it hit 50%, it just halted and is now going very slowly while giving me an installation stopped notification. I'm having to restart it on and off just to get the installation to keep moving. Anybody know how I can fix this?

as the title says, i have been randomly disconnecting from my internet for a few seconds, then reconnecting right after. this has made it extremely irritating to play even any online game, as it wont let me reconnect to anything and i keep eating abandon penalties. i have no idea how to stop this - ive tried doing the majority of supposed fixes out there - ie, changing port, power cycling, dns changes, restarting the router, etc. but, no avail. could anyone by chance help me out here?
