My lease is up next year and I'll be moving to Long Beach. Although I really like orange county, I can't justify paying what I do to rent a small apartment. I was wondering if anyone else is leaving the county anytime soon. As if so, to where?

Saw this big bird fly by and roost on a pole. It looked a little bigger than the hawks usually spotted in the area and had a little bald red face. Spotted near the 22 and Knott.

To be clear, the pumpkin in the photo is our definition of really big. A pumpkin that requires two men to deliver it, although this year I think we would settle for a one-man pumpkin.

We missed our window at Roger’s Gardens early this month due to flu; our occasional luck snagging a display pumpkin at Gelson’s faded away, along with their Irvine location. Today my husband made it to Pumpkin Land (or similar) in Laguna, no dice. Armstrong’s? Not a chance.

He even drove out to our old haunts in the 909, where pumpkins were similarly spoken for. Are there other options? Even a rumor will do; hundreds of kids come to our house to see the great pumpkin; he’s only missed one year of twenty, October of 2020.

I screwed up and bought two tickets for tonight instead of tomorrow night, and didn't realize it until I saw a reminder on my phone about the showing tonight (Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7:15pm).

So, this is extremely last-minute, but if someone is near the AMC Orange 30 theaters and wants my tickets, I'm happy to transfer them to you. (I've never transferred movie tickets before - hopefully it's as simple as either sending a screenshot of the QR code.

Since there's one QR code, I can't give it away to two separate parties (I don't think).

My two kids have recently gotten into pokemon and we’ve been enjoying family time together playing Pokemon Go.

Now, we’ve been collecting the Pokémon 30th Celebration cards and am getting close to completing a few sets. Figured I’d see if anyone around OC would be interested in meeting up, talking Pokémon, and trading to help each other fill in the cards we’re missing.
Whether you’re working on a set yourself or just have some duplicates you’d like to trade, it would be nice to connect and help each other out.
I’m in Costa Mesa and would be happy to meet somewhere public nearby. We could share pictures of what we have and what we’re looking for beforehand. The way it lights up my kids faces, I’d like that for all the kids. It just hits differently in my chest haha.

An Orange County hair stylist is behind bars for allegedly sexually assaulting multiple victims, including juvenile boys, over a 10-year period, police said Wednesday.
Costa Mesa police began their investigation into 61-year-old Ricardo Garcia of Fullerton after receiving several reports that he inappropriately touched victims, behavior that allegedly escalated to sexual assault, the department posted on Facebook.
Garcia, who owns Hair by Ricardo at 2200 Harbor Blvd. in Costa Mesa, is suspected of using his position as a hair stylist to sexually assault his victims.Those victims, whom he had contact with as clients, were mostly male and range in ages from 13 years old to adults when the assaults occurred,” police said.
Garcia was arrested Tuesday, and investigators have released his photo, believing that there may be additional victims because of his position and regular access to the public.
