Recall Petitions Are Now Live!
The recall petitions have finally been approved! This means we can start collecting signatures. If you live in District 1 or 4, you're eligible to sign. If not, please consider donating! Your donations (undisclosed if under $100) will allow us to print more flyers, place targeted ads, and make great big banners so we can let everyone know why this is happening and what they can do to help restore function and competency to Fullerton government. Let's do this!!!

Jung and Valencia Recall Websites
https://www.recallvalencia.com
EDIT: Recall Jung donation campaign is now accepting donations. https://secure.numero.ai/contribute/Committee-to-Recall-Fred-Jung
Websites advocating for the recalls of Fred Jung and Jamie Valencia are now active. A donation link is active for the Recall Valencia campaign, while the Jung donation link is listed as “Coming Soon”.
In case anyone is wondering who is behind the recall, here’s an excerpt from the website:
We live in every corner of our city and represent every council district.
Over the past several years, many of us found ourselves standing together outside City Hall after difficult council meetings. We exchanged phone numbers in parking lots after witnessing dismissive and disrespectful treatment of residents and public meetings that left many feeling unheard. We watched council votes by Fred Jung that repeatedly disregarded community concerns and reflected poor fiscal judgment. We became increasingly concerned by decisions that appeared to limit meaningful public participation, discourage open dialogue, and favor the interests of well-connected campaign contributors over ordinary residents.
We soon realized we were not alone. Residents from across Fullerton's five districts were asking many of the same questions about the future of our city and the direction of its leadership. Those conversations grew into friendships, then into collaboration, and ultimately into this coalition.
Our goal is not simply to remove Fred Jung and Jamie Valencia from public office. Our goal is to help restore a culture of accountability, transparency, respectful public service, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.
We believe elected officials should welcome questions, explain their decisions, and earn the trust of the communities they represent.
This coalition exists because we believe our city is worth showing up for. We love Fullerton, we believe in its future, and we are committed to building a city where every neighborhood can thrive, every resident has a voice and is respected, and public service once again reflects the public interest.

Join me for a canvass @Independence Park this Saturday
Hey friends! We’re getting closer to Election Day, and Shana and I are teaming up to knock on doors and talk with neighbors as we reach the last leg of the campaign.
We’re going to be joined by Rep. Derek Tran, Buena Park Mayor Connor Traut, and OCYD to push back against the big money that’s coming against us and finish strong.
Whether you’ve canvassed before or this is your first time, everyone’s welcome. It’s a great opportunity to meet some neighbors, get involved, and help out with the election.
You can sign up here: https://www.mobilize.us/cadems/event/1037430/
Hope to see some of you out there! And as always, happy to answer any questions about my campaign or the issues facing Fullerton.

Daniel Kim called me the other day...
He called my cell phone. He started with the normal spiel and was surprised when I could name his donors and the exact amount they donated. I asked his opinion on some recent votes, his buddy Fred, and his plans to fix the roads.
The man made sure to tell me about five times that he was a banker, conveniently couldn't speak on Fred's decisions, and - once again - reminded me that he was a banker. He had zero tangible plan for how to fix the roads and couldn't name any particular votes Dr. Charles made that he didn't like, just that he didn't like her.
I came into the conversation curious and seeking his thoughts. In fact, on surface level, it was a fine conversation. Kind enough guy. I wanted to sit with it before I shared my thoughts. The more time I've sat with it though, the more I've realized how flaccid his understanding of our local situation was.
The man is good at fluffy talk, I'll give him that. Too bad he doesn't have a single opinion of his own.

The State of Plumbing
I have a drain line project that is a little more involved because there is no drain at garage and my place wasn't set up well to make anything easy. I've interviewed numerous plumbers and am left with such an uneasy feeling of the current state of plumbing industry in our area. Several of them have given me ideas that wouldn't pass code, I found out later. They have given me very disruptive solutions that would cost me a lot of money when I found out later there were easier ways. Most of them charge at lawyer rates per hour. I've been told by a plumbing company they charge $300 - 700 an hour depending on the work. I know there's overhead but this is getting ridiculous especially when some of the techs they send look young and sound inexperienced.
I watched a Youtube and learned to fix a toilet with an $11 part at my relative's because my usual service people were out of town. The other toilet which my plumber's tech had fixed earlier still had problems. The owner came out himself the 2nd time and replaced the same part I did - they charged $300 for the initial pathetic "repair". Should we start a plumbing school for homeowners to do easier fixes on their own?

Pokemon card restock
Anyone know what days stores like target, Walmart, Barnes and nobles, etc restocks? I don’t mind waiting in line and unfortunately I am currently jobless so I have time.
Sigh, I haven’t collected pokemon cards in over 15yrs but I have a kid cousin who loves pokemon now. Would love to get him a 30th anniversary pack.

Rejected Kitten Needs a Home
Would anyone like this Cutie? This sweet Kitten was rejected by its Mom (outdoor cat) at an apartment complex. People in the complex were feeding the Kitty but it’s not doing well outside. Seems the Apartment Manager won’t allow anyone to take it inside (threatening eviction).
I can’t take it because my doggo is really reactive to cats (not in a good way). Tried multiple Rescues but they are all full. Can anyone give this little Sweetie a home?
It’s a boy, appropriately 7 weeks old. Small adoption fee required.

Cat sitter recommendations?
Our great pet sitter, who we’d used for decades, moved away two years ago. We’ve tried a couple of new ones, but we haven’t really found the right replacement yet. Although we’d prefer someone with business insurance, at this point, we care most about length of experience with cats specifically, as well as relative distance to Fullerton. Any personal recommendations would be appreciated!
