Back with another teaser for my Belarus Monarchy submod. It will probably be the last teaser, unless I decide to make another one if I'm not satisfied with the finalization; however, I am mostly done with the main two focus trees for it. This teaser is about me giving a brief summary of the paths in the submod.
The Generalgouvernement is an interesting path to me in base Kaiserreich, but sharing the same focus tree as Astroŭski's path is kind of boring to me. I know, I know. Astroŭski's government handles civilian affairs while under Werner Kempf, but I did decide to change it. Failing to contain the Hramadist uprising and allowing Werner Kempf and the German military mission to coup the government will unlock a new focus tree. It is short and simple, giving new focuses and events. “Purging the Old Government” is when Werner Kempf decides to fully remove Astroŭski and his government entirely, putting Belarus under martial law and making the path feel much more doomed in a sense, at least that’s how I envision it. I see the Generalgouvernement path as a fail state of sorts, and that’s how I choose to represent it. You'll be stuck with the National Identity debuff, and stability will be the biggest issue for the path. You do get three free divisions from the “Bring in Reinforcements” focus, which grants two Sturmdivisions and a Panzer-Division. The “Future of the General Government" focus will be the point at which you can continue with Werner Kempf, granting a few buffs to himself and allowing you to access the Industrializing Belarus decision tab and dealing with the Mass Illiteracy national spirit (if you don’t finish either of the focuses that handle them as Astroŭski at first before the coup.) Or you can establish a monarchy and start the real part of the submod.
The monarchy path is also straightforward and simple; there is a constitutional monarchy path, which starts off under the authoritarian Democrat "National Democratic Union," which is a big tent of various populists, conservatives, liberals, monarchists, etc., who wish to restore democracy in Belarus under the king. This path brings about new political parties to be created and elected once elections are held again. Allowing you to elect either the Social Liberal "Belarusian Labour Party," the Market Liberal "Belarusian National Liberal Party," or the Social Conservative "Belarusian Christian People's Party," or the incumbent AutDem party. Instead of having a focus tree for each party, they'll instead be represented by national spirits, which grants certain buffs to the nation depending on who wins the election.
Now for the autocratic path, the kingdom starts off under the Paternal Autocrat Royal Council, primarily made up of German and Belarusian aristocrats who filled the void once the military government stepped down. Everything is dictated by the Council, who still ultimately serve German business and military interests in the country while still attempting to build a legitimate government and identity for Belarus. The Council is in a loose agreement/coalition with the newly formed Integralist movements, who are more rabidly nationalistic and corporatist while believing in the king's right to rule (to their own vision, of course). While minor in power, they can grow their influence, which can result in a putsch later on after some time, allowing for the National Populist Integralist Bloc to take over.
You will also have an economic and military branch under "Build up the New Kingdom," which gives more factories, infrastructure, and other buffs like consumer goods percentages and construction speeds and also unlocking the Industrializing Belarus decision tab and dealing with the Mass Illiteracy national spirit (Like before, if you didn't complete the focuses under Astroŭski). The military branch is more so free military factories, adding in older German equipment such as infantry equipment, artillery, support equipment, panzers, fighters, etc. And some anti-air buildup through the country. The "Shield of the Reichspakt" focus gives a few buffs to the army, most notably the division attack and defense bonus against Russia.
There is still much more to be done, much more to discuss, and hopefully I can get this done! I know this has been all over the place, but I hope you enjoyed and am more than willing to answer any questions or hear suggestions!
