I've been seeing a lot of Challenger gameplay on Challenger Gwen clips and I've noticed that in mid they almost always get ds at the first couple of recalls.
Is Ds really that good to get early ?

I dont get how rabadons just doesnt make u slap any harder like at all until u also get void staff. Its like everyone finishes their armor shred item as 3rd item which i can understand why it makes her harder to find value. Mages start doing dmg with their raba and ur like on ur weakest point on an item i always consider like ah yes the perfect gwen item.

I was wondering what you guys prefer building first? I main top and I like rushing Nashor's Tooth because of the nicer build path and the huge attack speed boost feels very good in stacking Q and last hitting minions.

hii im a new, low-rank player, and im also new to ranked matches. i LOVE Gwen and i want to OTP her. but there’s something that happens to me a lot in the top lane. when i get matched against champions who are stronger than her early in the game (for example, Jax, Darius, Fiora, Urgot, or Garen), or who are counters to her throughout the entire game, they never let me farm. obviously, since im low-ranked, there have been times when ive been able to farm, but if they know their champion they don’t let me, and i fall way behind. if i try to farm, they deal more damage to me than i do to them, and i end up losing.

so myquestion is: what should i do if im falling behind in farm and levels? should I just stay close, grab the EXP, and wait for them to make a mistake? bcs then, in the mid or late game, when I’m supposed to shine, im behind in levels and items because i haven’t been able to farm or get the gold. ;;

Is it really worth going as a first item? I had a break from league for quite some time, used to be diamond in 2023 and now I came back and sitting in plat. These days it feels like nashors is a shit item and building it doesn't really accomplish anything, but I absolutely despise Dusk and Dawn's build path. The components are either shit, or just too expensive considering that in a big amount of matchups I get zoned off of minions and am forced to just soak exp. Is there any other reliable build, or should I just switch to jungle?

Hi guys! I'm a silver/gold player trying to climb out of low elo, i'm currently trying out Mid Gwen and i was wondering which lane is better for scaling faster and more safely.

Honestly i'm a bit scared of some top lane matchups so i tend to focus on mid. However i'm really bad at laning against ranged champions, and i often end up with really low cs/min. My user is Sung Hanbin #1610 if y'all would like to check it out. Thanks!

Hello people, i started playing Gwen about a week ago. I'm finding her very fun and want to OPT her but i am struggling with some games but feel like i stomp others. I don't really know when to start fighting early and end up getting zoned off minions depending on the champ. How should I be trading in lane and when should I avoid trades or when to start looking for some?

Ive been playing conc + inspiration when playing champions I cant fight early and go resolve when i need bone plating. Ive been building the same items most games of D&D - Shadowflame - Rabadons and buying boots when i cant afford a component, when should I look at building nashers or riftmakier?

Does anybody have any good advice on how to approach this matchup in particular? I’m actually considering changing the permaban from Garen to Yas.

I’m normally in quite a positive mood when I get a Yas opponent because I see it as an opportunity to finally crack this puzzle. But it seems like no matter what I do, or try, the windshitter is just a nightmare to deal with. I’ve had some success trading by popping the shield and getting some damage onto him, but it is grossly unreliable due to his ADHD moment spam and constant CC on demand. Of course mostly when the wave is near tower.

I would find this matchup significantly easier to deal with if he didn’t have his Malzahar shield eat most of your Q damage. I’ve tried conqueror into D&D with little success. I’ve tried LB first with the idea to burst him before he bursts me, even Nashors first which I basically never do. I’ve tried stormraiders surge and it still doesn’t really help. He’s just difficult to get damage onto and can really force you to play on his terms it seems.

One thing I have considered is that into Akali I’ve had some really good games, or not too hard a time in lane at worst by building Kaenic first. You can still put damage onto her and she can barely tickle you with proper wave control. Would building an armour based tank item first into Yasou work? Has anyone tried it?

I'm struggling to play the first clear against opponents who know to invade me lvl 1 or 2.

So what strategy do you use to counter early invades? I also watch Ninkey and he says to invade lvl 1 if the enemy jg is weak lvl 1. He begins with E instead of Q, but I don't understand how he can path into the enemy jungle unnoticed (assuming the enemy team isn't afk before minion spawns).

I'd like to play Gwen more often, but I'm not very good in the top lane, so I'd like to know if I can play her in mid or jungle, and how to play her in those lanes. Could you give me some tips? I currently play mid and jungle, but i don't know how to lane with Gwen, what I can play against, which matchups should I avoid, or who should I preferably ban?
