Does anyone else feel like 50% of games you are turbo lobotomised and the other 50% you are thanos?

For those who love to talk about lore and have been around since the days Jarvan originally entered the game as a character, what do you guys think about how Riot had originally conceived for a Jarvan and Quinn relationship but then ended up going with Shyvana? Aside from the fanbase being one of the reasons why they made a u-turn on it, I had always thought that the Jarvan and Quinn thing was a Cinderella story in the making with a lot of story potential, so how does introducing a dragon character into Jarvan's relationship story arc make for a better choice than a hardworking Demacian woman who literally started from nothing to become a prominent Demacian knight? I mean yeah sure, Jarvan teamed up with Shyvana and took down Yvva when Quinn had failed to accomplish that task, but that's just a professional relationship, hardly justifies romance. Riot made a u-turn on the Cinderella story with Quinn and decided on a completely new take by introducing Shyvana into Jarvan's plot, so I was curious what was the reasoning behind this aside from listening to the fanbase?

My guess was because Jarvan having a relationship with a lowly born random commoner woman from a rural Demacian village (who is also not of noble blood) would be lame story to tell and a dragon thrown into the plot instead would be more interesting?

When should you gear up to maximize lethality, and when should you opt for a *bruiser* build? Also, what are the best items for magic resistance, and which ones are best for armor? thanks.

This was all done duoing with pantheon support (which I think is the best lane combo), but I have played solo with other engagements supports to similar success.

I recently got attached to Jarvan and started playing him more. Trying to find a standard or go to build. My main issue was with Sundered Sky. Some say its not worth building after the nerf others say its still a staple item for J4. Rn i build eclipse and cleaver and DD into tank/ other bruiser items

Tested it 3 games, I picked the longest most behind game I could find, here's 4 advantages that make it better than the regular lethality J4 Build
1. Scaling is much much better on this build
2. Tanks are genuinely one shottable because hp stacking and armor stacking works much worse vs this build
3. There is no wasted haste regarding this build unlike when you went Seryldas on the old build
4. Bastion breaker snowballing is unreal cause of the lethality stacking, it allows you to nuke towers and objectives, you play a much higher paced game.

hy, i am new to jarvan and trying to do him top lane, i really like the early game damage but he becomes obsolete in late game, with this build i can fight just fine do good damage and be very hard to kill. but still dont know a last item, i tried titanic and triforce but both feels bad, any recomendations?

I want to have a secondary AP pick for when we are full AD on my team, what would be something as strong as Jarvan with high mobility, survivability, good ganks, strong team fights, etc.

I was thinking of Zac or maybe Fiddle even he has less mobility he can CC enemies and run

Hello everyone - im trying to learn more jarvan jungle as my games are very hit and miss.. i am quite new to the game in general but have watched a fair amount of educational videos to get some basics down.

As for builds I have been going :

Core items have been : profane hydra -> axiom if I get early kills, sundered if not -> deaths dance then situational tanky items after that.

Are there any other builds I could try? I feel it get bursted really fast when I go to ult in or I dont have enough damage to burst a squishy

With the eclipse buffs im seeing some jg players build this over profane first? Opinions on if this is the new goto?

With the change to HoB to have less upfront AS but better AD scaling on the on hit true damage, I believe a nerf on paper ends up being a buff to J4 using HoB. J4 seems to like profane hydra more than titanic in the meta currently, but the benefit titanic has is that it's hydra active counts as an AA reset, whereas profane and ravenous do not. HoB adds a stack (up to 2) for any AA resets, and since J4 has high AS anyway with flag, you're able to pump out insane damage during the knockup with HOB empowered aa-titanic-aa-aa despite the AS nerf. The damage is comparable to a profane hydra burst combo, despite missing the lethality, and the benefit of having 600 HP early game makes J4 much more survivable. Late game, HoB is adding more damage to a burst combo than electrocute by a wide margin(about 240 true damage). Combined with sudden impact, a significant chunk of my overall damage output actually ends up being true damage which is impressive.

in the ranking of the best jarvan's, the top 2 supports that show up build zeke first item, but what’s the reasoning behind it? The item does very little damage, and based on the stats, solari would be better
