I just started getting into playing killer and have so much issues with gens just popping left and right seemingly no matter how hard i try. I understand it is normal but holy shit they can gen rush.
Usually i run thrilling tremors to keep track of which gens are being repaired which seems to work very reliable for me and I always move with purpose and find the next survivors super quick. Yet the gens just fly and they end up escaping most of the time. My chases are short and quick, I play killers with good mobility, what can I do to improve?
Playing nurse makes me 4k basically every match and don't really need to keep patrolling gens as much due to the pressure I put on the survivors along with the extremely quick downs, but when I play any other killer I just get dogwalked
I recently started getting into Twins and I've been having a lot of fun learning them and using them but wow I've gotten BMed like no other lmao mind you, I have ghoul P25. I'm like 10+ matches into Twins, I'm close to getting them to P2 and I've already experienced way more BM and toxic behavior than I ever have on Ghoul. I don't particularly enjoy going against Twins but damn, I guess i found a killer people hate more than Ghoul lmao i cannot go a single match without someone bagging or flicking their lights at me out of anger
I've just started playing Nemesis and the matches felt like the survivors dictate the whole match.
It felt like they got two gens done before I even found someone. I also had no pressure whatsoever, because I couldn't commit to a chase.
To fair I only had tier 1 and 2 perks and it was literally my first time playing that killer, but I feel like this also applies to killer like trapper, Michael or the doc, even if to a lesser extent. The third match went a lot better too, but that was kinda just because the survivors decided gens were unimportant.
My point is not to make the traps pop when people are down as this doesn't work.
The idea is rather the following. Firest you slug someone. Then, when people come for rescue you try to get at least a trade. Now the point is that the first person you trapped will not be able to help much for the rescue of the second one as he has to remove the trap.
At this point I don't think you should camp the down one as traps will be removed in the meantime, so I think you should rather hunt which in one case may lead you to rescuers that you can try to down, or to the first trapped person, and so you can chase him off the box and possibly down him again.
In short, the idea is to force rescues but with less people as some will be busy. I don't think this is optimal, especially against a coordinated team, but do you guys think this could work?
I've only had time to play a handful of matches but it's either people dc super early in the match for whatever entitled reason, or they are hyper focused on gens plus that one screaming perk I keep seeing (forget the name) my last match too was this BMing Ace. I mean I expected it from the Ace but still it's like what are we doing lol.
If you know how to play judgement literally the only thing even an intermediate player can do is pray, both in game and irl.
The only time I've ever "struggled" playing judgement after I learned how to beam good, is against the worst of the worst survivors, the kinds that have comms for their comms and more coordination and efficiency than seal team six.
I love judgement and all, she's the most fun I've had with a killer since rework billy and post soft patch release singularity, but I can't lie she's absurdly strong with often times little to no counter play against a smart Judgement. I get rewarding a player for being good and being effective with their power, but this is kinda ridiculous. It gets to a point yk?
Honestly, I know this isnt much of a post but I figured to share my opinion on it, especially for a killer that while isnt my favorite to play in game, is my favorite anime and manga to entice myself with in my freetime. That being said, there are three skins I wish they would add. And no, none of them would be Blight.
Ken Kaneki - Tan Trenchcoat
Not the best of a photo for him, but i couldnt find a better one. But this was the first instance where he actually had a crazed state due to him starving himself, trying to refuse eating corpses or alive humans. I think it is very fitting of an outfit considering its the state(from my knowledge) that Kaneki actually is currently in. Also, in this state he has only 3 of his kagunes, which is pretty well suited for his power in game.
Ken Kaneki - Green Jacket
This was another canon moment of his, where he tried to express his side of the story to Amon, one of the Doves, or CCG Investigators. While he only has two of his tentacles in this scene picture, he indeed did have 3 from my recollection. That being said, some forms that were from season one other than his torn outfit I think should be added into the game.
- What skins I dont believe he should have, but might get anyways -
I feel like at some point he will get his very own Blighted skin in the game. While I dont have anything to necessarily prove he will, I know that some of the dlc Killers do have a blighted form, more notable ones being Jason, Pig, and Nemesis. I dont feel like he should get one in my own opinion. While I know the whole understanding of the serum is to bring out the true nature of the Killer injected with it, I feel like it might just be over the top with Kaneki. Again, this is just my opinion, but if they do add it I probably wont buy it. That is unless they do a fantastic job with it.
Again, i am not a ghoul main, just a humble Pyramid head main. That being said, I felt sad knowing these outfits werent in the game. While he has good ones now, as the more known ones are added, I think these ones will be cool too.
Aquatic Anomaly hands down is my favorite waterfront massacre skin. I always love the way deep sea predators use glowing lights and vibrant elements to trap their prey and Blight’s color palette really scratches the neurons for me.
I still wish we’d get a tentacle faced eldritch horror as a full blown killer at some point but until then, Aquatic Anomaly hits the spot 🤘🏽
Hand drawn and colored before uploading and editing on Photoleap
cant use the power, can place the biopods but cannot access them. i got him recently and wanted to try him out in a custom before trying him against real players when i just couldnt access the biopods and was wondering if this was a bug.
I bought the "Dog Lady" [Hunter] today. I actually like her, despite the bugs—I just pretend that my dog is simply a bit dim-witted. In my first match, I didn't stand a chance because I didn't understand how the dog worked, lol. The only thing that bothers me is that it’s difficult to aim the "search" command; essentially, all I end up doing is running from one generator to another at a speed of 6 meters [per second]. Also, playing on two-story maps is really tough because the dog gets confused and keeps banging its head against the windows. It’s also hard to target a generator on an upper floor if the map geometry gets in the way. And dealing with pallets is quite difficult, too. I wish the dog would highlight survivors during its search when it returns. It would also be great if there were an add-on to speed up the ability's recharge time.
I know how her cool down works, I know how the crow works and I know she can be very strong on small loops. But for the life of me I can barely get 1K and most of my matches ends up in the usual exit gate t-bag and waiting until the final second to leave.
As much as I adore her design, she just feels lackluster and outdated.
By the time you've trapped a survivor they'll have gone to the next loop and you're stuck in a big cooldown and with lost distance as putting down birds and launching them for some reason makes the Artist slower for a short time but just enough it can cost a lot. And for all your troubles of getting a bird to hit or an M1, gens are flying past meanwhile most other Killers would have gotten the down already and went to the hook.
I also really struggle to find a strong build for her. Right now most of the time I use Zanshin Tactics, Knock Out, Dead Man's Switch and Monstrous Shine but it doesn't really seem to be all that effective, although no doubt most of the problem must be my own gameplay before the build itself.
Maybe hot take here, but I've noticed that a lot of survivors have just started running from pallet to pallet and instantly dropping them. I know Blight is s-tier, but there really is no counterplay to this. You can maybe mind-game them or pokos into a hit, but other than that you're out of luck.
Genuinely, is this a skill issue or am I missing something here?
They fixed her head form I was wondering why she felt…better? I don’t think she is clunky at all or was, but she was suddenly less restricted! BHVR do transfer infection when unhooking a survivor & fix her hit box & my life is yours!!!
I've been hoping to get back on the Ghoul train again, but I'm kinda doing really poorly? To start with, I'm having a hard time deciding on perks to bring. I don't wanna rely on Centipede and Mask every game, so I was trying to bring good chase and info perks. My default build on this killer used to be Lethal + BBQ + Gift of Pain + Deadlock but I'm trying to slap on Unrelenting to help with getting M1 downs, I was toying with Enduring to help with sketchy 50/50s, some semblance of an info perk (BBQ? Friends? Whispers? Spies?), and Deadlock for passive gen control because I don't know what other gen perk is worth bringing when you only have 1 slot. Pain Res doesn't feel consistent enough.
Also, side note, people are SPAMMING boons during this event it feels like, most of them having Shadow Step to work with the portals (genuinely hate this sm), so I tried bringing Shattered Hope and actually went against people using boons... and the perk still sucks balls. It doesn't punish them, because they usually have a map or perk to find another totem and just set it up again. It's minimal info and doesn't really do much but waste time if you make a point to break the boons. Not even sure if it synergizes with Penti.
It's not just because of my perks though, but in general. I have a hard time actually getting the Kagune grab, which is fine, it was way too free before, but I frequently get dodged and punished. Not just this, but I genuinely just struggle to keep up and actually secure downs with this killer. I see clips of people doing the "prompt cancelling" or whatever where you do insane leaps to block people at tiles, but I don't understand how you perform that whatsoever. I just kinda feel useless with Ghoul now, lol.
That being said, I'm hoping I can overcome this and have fun with them again, I just get countered too easily. Any advice to help circumvent this? Perk suggestions, general Ghoul suggestions?
