DC NoMa Apartment Recs!

(Please let me know if this is the appropriate place to post)

Hi ya'll! I'm planning on moving to the Union Market area and have finalized the search to The Gantry, The Batley, and Ledger. Does anyone have any experience living at any of these places or any other ones in the area that I may be overlooking? Very curious as to how loud the train and foot traffic is in the area. I did tours at all three and these are my impressions so far:

The Gantry

Very amenity focused and the more "luxurious" of the three. Available units face the tracks and high foot traffic areas so concerned about how loud that may be at lower floors. They said the windows are "double paned" and I didn't hear too much from outside during the tour, but did not hear the infamous horns from the train that people speak of.

The Batley

Nice amenities (pool, coworking space, etc.), staff was nice, and closer to Union Market food hall. No actual issues with place, but a little pricier with some units compared to the others

Ledger

Furthest from the NoMa station than all 3. Very spacious (which is what I'm leaning toward), cheaper than all the others, but the least amount of amenities than the others (no pool, small cowering space).

VA iso roommates dulles area

disclaimer: i am severely allergic to cats and like medium allergic to dogs 🥺 if we can work something out, im down but keep that in mind.

my name is gabby and i’m looking for two roommates preferably women/queer folk to move in to the wyatt located in sterling with me. its right off 28 and right off the highway. i unfortunately cannot move in to this property alone. it would be max $1200 each i believe but once if find yall we can go tour the place and do the bureaucratic stuff together. about me: i’m a queer latina woman who was born and raised in nova. i’m extroverted as fuck and i would say thats probably my biggest red flag because i love having people over and hosting (esp since i’m single 😌) but i’m very chill, i’m clean, i’m confident, i’m honest, i’m fun. i like to make genuine connections so if ur not trying to be friends then this is not the place for you 😭 i like to have “family meetings” where we set boundaries and talk about goal or plans or anything really. i do like to set a cleaning schedule so we’re all held accountable. and last thing is i only smoke weed, i dont really drink too much, but idc if u do. thats all . ty :)

Moving to DC in Nov/Dec, work at JBAB. Wharf vs. Old Town/Eisenhower for a 1BR with an island and good natural light?

I'm relocating for a job at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and want to live in Navy Yard, the Wharf or Old Town. The commute matters to me, so I am open to recommendations.

Must-haves: 1BR, a real walk-out balcony (not Juliet), a kitchen island, and as much natural light as possible. Move-in is mid-November to mid-December, and I'm flexible on rent but not paying for a penthouse.

I went through the floor plans on each building's own site. These three passed:

  1. The Tides (Wharf): 728 sq ft, $2,944.
  2. Meridian 2250 (Eisenhower Station): 787 sq ft, $2,996.
  3. CityHouse Old Town: 837 sq ft, $3,195.

The ones I ruled out: The Garrett (too industrial for me), Riverpoint (no real island), and Bell Old Town (no island).

Questions for people who live in or have toured these:

  - How is the Eisenhower Station commute across the Wilson Bridge to Anacostia-Bolling?

  - Anything I should know about management, noise or move-in fees at any of these?

  - Are there Navy Yard or Wharf buildings with a real balcony and island that I missed? The newer

buildings' sites were hard to read.

Thanks!

MD ISO Roommate in Bethesda/Chevy Chase

Hi everyone! I am looking for a roommate to live with in the Bethesda/Chevy Chase area. My desired move-in date varies, but around November 16-December 7 is what I am aiming for. My budget is roughly $1500, so looking for a 2 bedroom apartment for at most $3000.

I am a male in my mid-20s and a newscast director. My working hours are usually in the early mornings, waking up around 1:30-3:00am. Despite that, I am quiet and respectful when waking up in the morning.

I am a non-smoker, pet-friendly, and have been living in the DC area for just under 3 years. Please let me know if you are interested, or have any questions!
