So I was picked on and teased by these two guys last Thursday. I was walking near the JC and these two guys called me names , “ugly”, a girl” and many other names. They even said no girl will like you etc. I have been bullied my whole life and I guess I’m used to it but it still hurts and is never ok. I’ve been so insecure about myself and my body.

For context:
Growing up I was overweight. Like during Covid I weighed 220lbs. I was picked on by everybody at school and therefore didn’t have any friends at all. But during Covid since we in quarantine I decided to work out more and diet so I lost 60lbs in like a year and a half. So from 220-160. Ever since I’ve been in the gym and trying to better myself. I have some health issues and if you guys know what gynecomastia is , I have it. So because of that i feel so insecure about that my whole life and was teased/bullied for it.

I’m a guy btw

Hi

I'm a foreign student, and I struggle with writing in general

My areas of interest are academic papers and business communication (cover letters, reports and whatnot)

Please recommend writing courses that aren't too hard but are still educational. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone taken this course before? How writing intensive is it?

hey guys, anyone who has taken Econ 103 with Donald Bouderax sm like that pls lmk how his midterm and exams are like... were they easy? The midterm is tomorrow!!

Does his class have curves for the midterms and finals? Both of these exams make up 70% of the class grade. I know he doesn't give extra credit assignments.

Did anyone took this class with Prof Zoran Duric?

Better GMU Registration ⚡ (chrome extension link)

Hello, I am Sebastian (cbas23) and I built a chrome extension called Better GMU Registration that adds Rate My Professors ratings and a LOT of quality-of-life features to the registration page.

I’ve been working a lot to make this extension accurate and easy to use. I hope you guys like it!

--> What does it do?

• Adds accurate Rate My Professor ratings
• Makes the rows compact and more readable
• Improves overall visuals of the table

Try it here: Better GMU Registration ⚡

--> Why I built it

While registering for classes, I used an extension to add RMP ratings on the registration page. Everything was going well for me, until I started to notice a few things that bothered me. The rating of the professors being sometimes wrong was one of them. The layout of the table and how much space each row takes on the screen was another one. I always felt that these things could be done better, so I started building my own extension to fix all of this.

--> NOTES

The extension is designed to be very accurate. Professors must strictly match the full name before showing them on the page.

This means that every professor with some rating (except 0.0) will match to the right professor. Professors might have ratings but won’t appear on the extension because the checker is very strict.

Shoutout to Jeong Min Cho for creating the original "Rate My GMU Professors" extension, which inspired this project 🙌

Want to report a bug or have a suggestion? Feel free to write a comment or contact me: [contact@cbas23.me](mailto:contact@cbas23.me) 📩

--> How do I use it?

Using it is really simple. Just install it, and it will change the registration pages. You can click on the professor to see their RMP page. If the professor’s rating isn’t there, it’ll open RMP as if you searched for the professor.

This extension has a Privacy Policy. In short, this extension won’t collect/store any data. It only uses the professors’ names to get the RMP data directly.

This is an open source project and not affiliated or endorsed by George Mason or Rate My Professors.

Here’s the repo if interested on the implementation 😁

I'm trying to take a class for the natural science requirement but it's not here

idk why but 99% of the time i’m in line at JC to get food the person behind me is standing so close to me i can hear their mouth breathing. you’d think “accidentally” taking a step back to get ro between u and them would do smth but nah, it seems like they wanna be close together so we all family.

please learn personal space and back tf up plz.

I got bullied 3 years ago in the JC. This tragic incident happened after walking in and I started getting brutally harassed and verbally assaulted. This has left me traumatized and at a loss of words.

So, my sap appeal was not approved, despite meeting all requirements (apparently death of a sibling doesn’t count, even with death certificate but that’s a problem on its own) and now, I am looking for loans to help me to pay for school. However loans that do not need SAP requirements are still being rejected because of guess what, sap. What do I do

might be a dumb question but in two dimensional design and color are you actually doing art or just learning and talking about it?

Hello! I’m hoping to hire a photography student or anyone with a good camera to take professional headshots. If you are interested, please DM me with your rate and a portfolio or relevant example of your work. Thank you!

They completely messed up my order and there’s also a hair in my food

With spring 2027 right around the corner, I thought i’d bring back up Mason Picks, a website I made for looking up past grade distributions for classes at GMU.

You can search a course or professor and compare average GPAs, grade distributions, and how many students those numbers are based on. Very useful if you’re deciding between professors for the same class, or just which electives to take.

https://masonpicks.vercel.app/

The data comes from records obtained through FOIA and covers 2016–2025. It’s historical data, so it won’t tell you which sections are being offered this spring or guarantee how a class will go.

If something looks wrong or there’s something you wish it showed, leave a comment.

I am planning to apply for MS in bioinformatics or bioengineering. Would love to hear your thoughts on cirriculum, financial aid? affordable? is it worth it? ty

Can y’all PLEASE have some human decency and stop munching so loudly when you’re eating, especially in a quiet zone?? 😭 I usually don’t mind these sounds and I’m not saying you can’t eat. EAT YOUR FOOD. But can you PLEASE chew quietly instead of making the whole room hear every single bite?? OH MY GOD 😭

Basically, I have recently graduated with an MS in Finance from GMU. I feel like I want to further work on technical and analytical skills and am considering another MS in Business Analytics - do you all think it makes sense?

Is there any islamic clubs I can join? Looking to convert other people as well, if you want to join , please do mashallah !

Any recommendation for the easy OSCM electives?

Just like title says. I failed 2 of my nursing exams and i need advices for my 425 and 309 classes. My professor doesn’t teach.

pretty please!! any alum or currents seniors would like to provide some advise. Thank you so much.

Does anyone know when the "Plan Ahead" section on Patriot Web will be available? I know that browsing is, but I thought the Plan Ahead came out at the same time. It's not out yet though.

I'm just a person who gets anxious and needs to plan things in advance and the actual feature on Patriot Web works a lot better for me to visualize the schedule over just writing it down on paper which I have already done.

Did anybody lose this? If this is yours please contact me. Found it at Enterprise.

EDIT: FOUND AND GIVEN BACK.
