Hi ya'll! I'm planning on moving to the Union Market area and have finalized the search to The Gantry, The Batley, and Ledger. Does anyone have any experience living at any of these places or any other ones in the area that I may be overlooking? Very curious as to how loud the train and foot traffic is in the area. I did tours at all three and these are my impressions so far:
The Gantry
Very amenity focused and the more "luxurious" of the three. Available units face the tracks and high foot traffic areas so concerned about how loud that may be at lower floors. They said the windows are "double paned" and I didn't hear too much from outside during the tour, but did not hear the infamous horns from the train that people speak of.
The Batley
Nice amenities (pool, coworking space, etc.), staff was nice, and closer to Union Market food hall. No actual issues with place, but a little pricier with some units compared to the others
Ledger
Furthest from the NoMa station than all 3. Very spacious (which is what I'm leaning toward), cheaper than all the others, but the least amount of amenities than the others (no pool, small cowering space).
disclaimer: i am severely allergic to cats and like medium allergic to dogs 🥺 if we can work something out, im down but keep that in mind.
my name is gabby and i’m looking for two roommates preferably women/queer folk to move in to the wyatt located in sterling with me. its right off 28 and right off the highway. i unfortunately cannot move in to this property alone. it would be max $1200 each i believe but once if find yall we can go tour the place and do the bureaucratic stuff together. about me: i’m a queer latina woman who was born and raised in nova. i’m extroverted as fuck and i would say thats probably my biggest red flag because i love having people over and hosting (esp since i’m single 😌) but i’m very chill, i’m clean, i’m confident, i’m honest, i’m fun. i like to make genuine connections so if ur not trying to be friends then this is not the place for you 😭 i like to have “family meetings” where we set boundaries and talk about goal or plans or anything really. i do like to set a cleaning schedule so we’re all held accountable. and last thing is i only smoke weed, i dont really drink too much, but idc if u do. thats all . ty :)
Hi everyone! I am looking for a roommate to live with in the Bethesda/Chevy Chase area. My desired move-in date varies, but around November 16-December 7 is what I am aiming for. My budget is roughly $1500, so looking for a 2 bedroom apartment for at most $3000.
I am a male in my mid-20s and a newscast director. My working hours are usually in the early mornings, waking up around 1:30-3:00am. Despite that, I am quiet and respectful when waking up in the morning.
I am a non-smoker, pet-friendly, and have been living in the DC area for just under 3 years. Please let me know if you are interested, or have any questions!

Welcome home to a spacious, recently refreshed 2-bedroom, 1-bath English basement apartment just steps from beautiful Lincoln Park. At approximately 900 square feet, the apartment offers more space than many of the typical Capitol Hill rentals, with tall ceilings and a comfortable, functional layout.
The apartment features newly updated kitchen appliances, a dishwasher, new flooring throughout, and fresh paint. A full-size washer and dryer are located in the apartment, making everyday living easy and convenient.
The two bedrooms offer flexibility for roommates, a home office, or a guest room. The tall ceilings help the apartment feel open and spacious.
The location is hard to beat. Located directly on Lincoln Park, you’re close to Eastern Market, Barracks Row, H Street, neighborhood restaurants and cafes, and Metro options. It’s a wonderful Capitol Hill location for anyone who wants a residential neighborhood with easy access to the rest of the city.

Hi guys, I live in a 2 bed 2 bath in Mt Pleasant off 16th St. My roommate told me earlier in the week that he’s moving out end of the month so i’m kind of scrambling here as I really love the place and don’t want to leave just yet. Total rent is $2748 per month. I pay $1540 for the bigger room and the pet fee, so the rent would be $1244. You would have your own bathroom in the room with the living room and kitchen as shared spaces. Water is included but we pay for Internet/Electric. There is a laundry room in the basement of the building and we have our own little parking lot. Please PM for more info!
I’m moving to DC soon and stuck between three options. I’d love input from people who live in these areas.
I’m a woman, work from home most days and won’t have a car.
Option 1: Basement unit in a new build, a block from 14th St
∙ Great location, about a 13 min walk to the metro
∙ Windows face a wall, so basically no natural light
∙ Worried about feeling cooped up since I’m home all day
Option 2: NoMa
∙ Meets all my apartment needs
∙ I’ve heard mixed things about safety
Option 3: Arlington
∙ Better value for the money
∙ Not in DC, but still metro accessible
• Far from work
I guess my questions are:
How bad is a basement/no-view unit when you WFH? Did you get used to it, or did it wear on you?
How does NoMa feel safety wise?
Is living in Arlington a big social or convenience trade-off versus being in DC without a car?
