News Swagelok - RTO five days a week
I doubt that there will actually be any news released about this but Swagelok is implementing a RTO, five days a week starting this month. Less than a two weeks notice to those who have been working remote/hybrid for years.
They also waited until the month after their annual Associate survey to announce it.
FYI to anyone thinking of applying there for any office roles.

Housing/Apartments Help. Basically homeless.
You would think in a city this size there would be more help for people facing homelessness. I have called every number that 211 gave me, did assessment over the phone on Monday and haven't heard back from anyone. I've had many people (who have never been homeless) tell me places can provide hotel vouchers for a few days to people in need but I can't for the life of me find out if this is real or who to call. Does anyone have any information about this?
Just found out I'm like 4 weeks pregnant and I would really like to stay with my boyfriend if at all possible.
I have been out of work since getting into a car accident but I have a few job opportunities coming up, it's just close to impossible to go to a new job without being able to shower or have a place to use the restroom. Plus I have to get surgery beginning of November so I would have to miss at least a week of work and not a lot of places want to give someone a job when they immediately need time off. We have no where to sleep tonight and have no money. If anyone has any resources other than 211, Eden, pretty much anything on a Google search because I have called every number I could find online and there is no immediate help available. Last night it was raining and its about to be winter, I'm terrified right now.
Thanks for reading. Feel free to comment or message me.
I would even be cool with a room to sleep in at someone's house for a night or two. We are quiet. We keep to ourselves. We are clean freaks and just want a bed to rest our heads and a place to shower. If I can start working, I will get a motel room until we can find a more permanent solution. Thanks again.

Photography A Monster House in Lakewood Part II 🫲😈🫱
While driving down Madison I peeked over and saw this conniving smile behind the Doughnut Pantry plotting something sinister! A couple years ago a house on McKinley created something similar by adding giant eyes on the roof and teeth to the front porch! It’s such a simple but effective Halloween decoration! (Address: 1668 Onondaga Ave)

I decided to share because last month I shared a photo after ghostbusters and many people said they would’ve gone had they known.
ps, the farmers market will be happening before then too!

Question Canadian incoming law student: Can I live in CLE without a car?
I’ll spare you the boring details but I’m a 23yo guy moving to Cleveland to go to Cleveland State for law school next August coming from Ontario, and was just curious how liveable Cleveland is without a car? Im not entirely sure where I’ll be living yet but I’m trying to cut costs as much as possible considering this is an expensive time in my life lol . Hopefully I won’t have too much of a hard time making some friends without one

Question Pungent Onion Smell Along East 79th?
Every time I encounter East 77-81st there is an inescapable odor. It doesn't matter where I am north/south- I have smelled it on Cedar and East 79th, Carnegie and East 79th, and Superior and East 79th. This has been the case for months and I am curious as to what it is. I am thinking some sort of gas leak or sewer issue, but it smells exactly like BO/onions. If I lived right around there I would be pissed. I get annoyed just driving through. What is it.

Question Relocating to Cleveland area for work and starting a family - best suburb to live?
Hi everyone! My husband (30M) and I (29F) may be relocating to the Cleveland area if he receives a promotion. His work location would be either near North Ridgeville or Kent, depending on where they decide to place him.
We’re starting to explore different suburbs and would love recommendations on the best areas to raise a family while still finding a reasonably priced home. Ideally, we’d love to live somewhere with a cute downtown area, local restaurants and shops, and plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy.
We’ve been looking into Strongsville and Streetsboro so far, but we’re definitely open to other suggestions. We’d love to hear about your experiences living in these areas or any other suburbs you would recommend.
Thank you so much!

Question Pediatric SLIT treatment for food allergies?
Are there any doctors or practices that treat children for food allergies using sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) in our region?
My son's allergist wants to do OIT, but we're looking for a second opinion about SLIT which appears to be much safer.
If not, does anyone have any experience with the Food Allergy Institute's TIP program? Anyone have any experience with the online company Curex?

Recommendations Pottery Studio Reccomendations?
Looking to make some things out of clay & glaze pottery. (Not paint pre-made things like Paint-a-penguine).
Does anyone have some studio reccomendations where you can go in and have open studio time to make? Maybe have classes where you make a mug on a wheel or vase kind of thing? A good atmosphere & friendly people is a big bonus!
Im south of cleveland, so stuff in that direction would be ideal. Though willing to travel for a wonderful place.

Question Building Inspector Door tag
I was left a blank pink door hanger from a building inspector with a business card, it’s not a violation just a notice. Are these usually in response to complaints? Or do they just do it randomly? I recently took down part of my deck but I am not building any structures. Ive left a message on the number just waiting to hear back.

Question Thrift/Vintage Market vendors in Cleveland?
Hello!
I'm starting to plan a thrifted/vintage clothing market out of Little Italy area on the East side of Cleveland. Right now the biggest obstacle is finding vendors who would want to rent a table and sell at an event like this. This post is mostly to get a feel if there's anyone out there on here who would be interested in selling at a thrift market, or if there's any general interest, period. I was thinking $50 for a table for the day of the market - is this an appropriate price?
If you know of any small businesses or people who would be interested or have any advice or anything please let me know. I don't have any social/website yet but it is currently in the works.
Edit: I'm not trying to promote as why I didn't include a business name or any specific details, just trying to gather info for planning purposes. I hope this is aligns with the rules of the sub
