Question/Discussion Is Blue Lights policing accurate?
I live in the states and have a question about the police in Northern Ireland. I've seen on the show multiple occasions of police officers being attacked, their requests being completely ignored and riots where officers get attacked and they seem to just let these people leave right after the situation is contained. Is this normal practice for law enforcement in the area, or just embellishments for the sake of story?

Question/Discussion Who is (or looks like) this uncredited actor in Shakespeare and Hathaway

In Shakespeare and Hathaway S05E06 at 36:14 there is a police man that seems incredibly familiar to me. Looks like an actor I've seen in roles in action movies, possible American. No credits, Google Lens has no idea and Googling didn't help. Maybe he just looks like someone, maybe it's a cameo? Please help!

Question/Discussion Most unlikeable TV couple?
Binge watching Ann Droid today and I really love every part of this show that doesn't include these two. They've got to be the most unlikeable couple I've ever seen on TV.

New Show Who else is excited for Blue Planet 3? Due to release later this autumn
Blue Planet 2 led to a lot of laws combating plastic use in the UK. Do you think this one will have a similar impact?

Question/Discussion Does anyone ever renemner these two guys at all?
Does anyone out there ever remember like John Clarke and Bryan Dawe and there weeklybsegment where they made like a satire version of like an interviewer sitting down with a politician with John Clarke acting like the polly and Bryan Dawe the interviewer with John full on taking the piss out of things that were said by the politicians that week pretty much as to me that was purely Aussie humour gold in the best way possible no matter what.

Question/Discussion How famous is Paul Rhys?
I’m American and the first two episodes of Tip Toe were just released.
The performances are ASTOUNDING, especially Rhys and Cumming and I’m curious if Rhys is a big star in the UK?

Question/Discussion After season 27... (Midsomer Murders)
There isn't news that Neil and/or Nick are leaving, so I expect them to stay on for season 27 at the end of 2027 also.
That will mean that Neill had 13 seasons as the lead character, and Nick 9 seasons as the DS.
That's a lot. Tom had the "pilot" episode and the first 13 seasons until he left.
It would be cool, if they revitalize the show after that. We need a big change because the show became something else around seasons 17 and 18. It's fun to watch while you're iron your clothes, but that's it.
I hope an old DS or Sgt. comes back to pick up the mantle as the new lead for the show, like a Ben Jones or even Troy... if not someone completely new and not a Barnaby. And a female DS/sgt. would also be interesting for once.
Or do you think the show should end with Neill?

Question/Discussion Is anyone else watching this on Ch4?
I’m so disappointed by this. I started watching it mainly because it was filmed in my home city. However, it’s really poor. On episode 3 of 6 but I don’t think I can bring myself to finish it.

Question/Discussion Help - does anyone remember this 2000s documentary?
Hi,
I've recently remembered a TV documentary from late 2000s/early 2010s about a male dominatrix who wants to quit his line of work to become a boxer again. It was quite bleak, fly on the wall style documentary about this bloke's BDSM work and his boxing ambitions. He ultimately ends up losing his last boxing match.
I seem to remember it being sex in a Northern seaside town, his sex dungeon is in the basement of his terrace house. There's one scene where the camera crew sit in his living room while screams of a client can be heard from the muffled basement.
I cannot find any evidence of it online and it's driving me mad. Think it was probably Channel 4... Any ideas?

Question/Discussion Honestly, I’m still not completely over Diane’s exit in S2 Traitors 😭
The whole fizzy wine slow burn murder was absolute television history, but watching her get banished right after figuring so much out genuinely broke my heart! She carried that entire table on her back.
Which banishment or murder hit you the hardest across the seasons?

Question/Discussion What TV Show
What English comedy show showcases a boy who is taken from his family’s candy shop due to a legal issue. The show is modern and quite farcical. It also has old hag sisters and a grandpa in a prison who has a bird on his head.

Question/Discussion The Fools And Horses Trivial pursuit "female swan" scene never really worked for me....
... because only about 4% of people knew the answer to what a female swan was actually called, but the show made it seem like it was everyday common knowledge and the huge laughter track at his answer was confusing.

Question/Discussion Navy/RAF recruitment advert 1970's
I vaguely remember an advert about a helicopter simulator, it gets dunked into a pool type thing and the crew have to swim to safety. At the end a gruff Sargent type shouts "Now you're going to have to do it all over again" . Does anybody remember it ?

Question/Discussion So many shows are just showing repeats on ITV at the moment. Is this because of the Sky deal not being closed yet?
Chase, Beat the Chasers and Parents Evening are all showing repeats. Even today, Parents Evening are showing a repeat of a Christmas special in October.
Seems to me that Big Brother is the only normally functioning programme at the moment.

Question/Discussion Looking for a 2004 (ish??) detective drama featuring Maxine Peake?!
Hello reddit, me and my mother-in-law got into a random phone conversation, and are somehow currently searching for the name of a detective drama from around 2004 that features Maxine Peake as the sidekick to a posh lord, set somewhere 'posh in England' and also in Italy at points??!!
Please, someone help, LOL!
Can't find anything on Wikipedia, even on her TV discography!
