Nostalgia Anyone else remember this 1970s kids show?

This show ran my entire childhood. All the kids in my neighborhood rocked out to it, and many of us even had the record. Now as an adult, I almost never encounter anyone who remembers it. It’s so niche, I would have thought I imagined the whole thing if not for the few YT clips!

[Partially lost] Sasktel little red commercials from (2007-2016)

The Hunt for SaskTel’s Lost Commercials (2007–2016)

I’m currently searching for a series of nostalgia-filled SaskTel advertisements that aired in Saskatchewan, Canada, between 2007 and 2016.

Lost / High-Demand Commercial List Max HD – "Green is the Colour" Description: A promotional SaskTel Max TV commercial tying into Saskatchewan Roughriders pride, utilizing the iconic Riders anthem "Green is the Colour". Status: Unsurfaced / Seeking HD copy. Lil' Red Holiday / Christmas Campaign Description: The iconic SaskTel Little Red Riding Hood character in a special holiday/Christmas-themed spot. Status: Partially lost / Looking for clean TV rips. Jack & The Beanstalk – SaskTel Business Description: A creative fairy-tale-themed commercial using Jack and the Beanstalk to market SaskTel's business services and fiber internet growth. Status: Unsurfaced. Cindi's Cookies Description: A Cinderella-inspired ("Cindi") SaskTel commercial centered around a cookie business or baking themed spot. Status: Unsurfaced. How You Can Help

If you have any leads, recorded VHS tapes from Saskatchewan broadcasts during the 2000s/2010s, or links to high-definition uploads:

Check YouTube: Search through old local commercial compilations or unlisted promo reels. Wayback Machine: Search archived SaskTel media pages, old SaskTel YouTube channel archives, or local Saskatchewan agency portfolios (e.g., Brown Communications). Personal Archives: If you recorded TV broadcasts (specifically CTV Regina/Saskatoon, Global Sask, or CBC Sask) between 2007 and 2016, please check your tapes!

Please reply or send me a message if you find any of these spots in HD or full quality!

Discussion "Private Eyes: West Coast" | S1.E2 – Did anyone else spot Nicole deBoer's daughter in this week's ep?

Nicole, of course, played Shade's ex Becca on the original iteration of the show, and now her daughter, Summer Kastner, has made her television debut as Lauren, the roommate of the girl who was missing in this episode. Very cool! Proud mama even mentioned the guest appearance on her IG.

The Netflix series staring Josh Hartnet is out now! Filmed and set in Newfoundland, with a lot of Canadian onscreen talent. I haven’t watched it yet but early online talk is positive.

What do we all think is BELOW in the water? A shark? Or an alien? Maybe it’s a Cloverfield spinoff???

If you're a fan of Letterkenny or Shoresy, you're probably going to want to check this new series out. I'm going to be completely honest with you, I'm not quite sure what I just watched (in a good way), but I'm sure it's going to be good 😂. The cast includes Jared Keeso, Scott Thompson, Kristin Kreuk, and Jonathan Torrens. Yes, that's Chad Kroeger from Nickelback in the trailer. I did not know he acted.

It premieres on November 6, 2026, on Crave.

I was an extra on the show and can’t find it to stream anywhere. It went for 3 seasons from 96-99. Does anyone have any idea where I could find it?

I grew up with this show. I love it, and I never wanna see it end, but it has been pushing the cheesy boundaries. The episode wasn't inherently bad but something felt off.

And before he was Jono, he was just Jonathan on Street Cents. Jonathan Torrens was a key part of this show. I had the pleasure of working on the show one summer coming up with show ideas. The following year, I got hired at the CBC in Halifax. Whenever I went to the TV building on Bell Rd (now torn down sadly), I would always stop in at the TV studios and check out the sets for Street Cents, 22 Minutes, and a few other productions that were filmed here like Rideau Hall.

Discussion What are Busy and Amanda doing now?

Post image
551 Upvotes

I really enjoyed the show. I wish they would do a movie on CBC so we can catch up with Amanda and Busy. If you were able to write the script, what DO YOU think Busy and Amanda are up to now? Both of them would be around 43-44 yrs old now.

I think Amanda most likely moved out to BC somewhere, maybe working as a Yoga, Reiki, etc. instructor. Busy i would think became a teacher and has a side gig in a band for some small bar in Toronto. I also think that Busy came out as bi or lesbian and has a loving partner. Her family were accepting except for her dad for the first couple of years.

Amanda I think would have found someone as well. Probably has a daughter who is an inspired actress and wants to get into the scene there in Vancouver.

The girls keep in touch via skype/teams.

I want to hear your theories!
