Slater A.I Slop = Permanent Ban
A.I slop will result in a permanent ban.
Worth this being stickied so users have a fair warning of such a consequence.
Regards,
Chief Inspector Slater.

Question about Dell & Raquel
I'm a massive fan of only fools, one of the biggest probably. I've seen most the episodes but haven't watched it in years. I saw Gold were doing some stuff and it got me thinking about Dell and Raquel. I don't remember seeing them get married so did they get married off screen so to speak and I just missed it?
Also, my favourite era when it was just Dell and Robert with the old man. I didn't enjoy when Raquel and Casandra were more involved

Since 1991, Raquel's audition from the Only Fools and Horses episode "The Class of '62" has just been a rumour. Was it ever filmed? We can now reveal that yes, it was!
Only Fools and Horses: The Lost Archive starts 20th October on Sky, Virgin Media and NOW.

discussion To Hull and Back
Hi everyone. Just a really quick post to say my stepdad was the actual captain of the boat they used. He was the one actually driving.

A Royal Flush
Just doing a rewatch from start to finish of the show and I think A Royal Flush gets a bit of a bad reputation. Is definitely worse episodes especially in the early days and Del at dinner is a bit obnoxious.
But Del at the Opera for me has some real funny moments and is quite underrated to see him out of his comfort zone

An Evening With Sir David Jason
Had the pleasure of seeing David in the Waterfront Hall in Belfast last night. Absolutely wonderful storytelling full of little quips and interactions he had over the years with people like Ronnie Barker, and tidbits about things like Granville and the Jolly Boys Outing.
Did you know the scene of the lads running into the water was actually a rehearsal? David says that in the moment, he decided Del Boy wouldn't want to wade in (a mixture of dirtying his clothes and fear of being swept out), so he turned and ran back to the camera instead :)
I think he has a few more shows on before the end of the year and I would 100% recommend going if you have the chance to.

The Future Arrives 2 November 2026
Unless I’m mistaken, when watching ‘Heroes and Villains’ this afternoon, the date into the future at the start when Rodney is returning to Trotter Towers, the date shown is only a few weeks away, 2 November 2026. If only we had President Reeves in the White House 👀🦆

discussion Three men, a woman and a baby
How this episode isn't widely considered at least top 5 is beyond me. It's always been my favourite and I rewatched it today on a reaction channel, and it is just pitch perfect. So many great scenes-
Rodney and Cassandra finally make up
"They're naming him Rodney, after Dave"
"I ain't had a bit for months"
The scene with the 'rat'
"Friend or enema?"
"Oh give her time Rodney"
The episode is perfectly paced and doesn't waste a single second, and to top it off you get dels monologue at the end which always makes me teary. The genius of John sullivan to make you laugh one minute and cry the next shines here.
10/10 episode, the best on the show in my opinion :)

Do you think the idea of Slater and Raquel being married was a bit of a stretch?
Rather than someone who was a good person who got more bitter throughout the years, it sounds like Slater was a true scumbag throughout his entire life:
- arrested his own over a broken tail-light on a bicycle that Slater himself lent to him.
- repeatedly grassing on his friends throughout their school days to get them punished, even though Del would frequently protect him from bullies.
- early in his career he set up Trigger and got him sent to a Young Offender's Home.
- the whole microwave oven incident where he threatened to plant drugs on Rodney to have him sent away so that Grandad would be left alone on the estate to be assaulted or worse.
- the diamond smuggling saga.
- Raquel herself talked about he was unsupportive of her, would bully her, and could be "really horrible" etc.
And yet you have Raquel who was a decent person, honest, funny, and kind-hearted, etc. The idea of her being attracted to Slater and him being nice enough that she would agree to marry him just seems far fetched to me.
And she must've been with him while a lot of the above incidents were taking place! Slater seems like the type to come home each night and brag/laugh about the things he did to people.
Can't picture the two of them together at all!
Who's Rachel?
