Official Notice šŸ•Šļø Community Reminder: Respectful Dialogue & Open Exchange

Hey everyone,

We just want to take a moment to thank all of you for helping make r/AstralProjection one of the most interesting and supportive spaces on Reddit. Every day, people from around the world come here to share their stories, struggles, and breakthroughs — and that’s something really special. ✨

Lately, we’ve noticed a few discussions getting a bit tense or personal, so this post is simply a gentle reminder of what keeps our community strong:

  • Rule 1 – Be respectful. Speak to others the way you’d want to be spoken to.
  • Rule 9 – Share, don’t impose. Everyone’s journey is different — we don’t all have to agree, and that’s okay.

We’re here to explore together, not to argue about who’s right. Respectful debate is welcome; ridicule, sarcasm, or hostility aren’t.

A few people also asked about ā€œlow-effortā€ posts — just to clarify:
āž”ļø We don’t ban for that. Posts that are too short, unclear, or repetitive are usually just removed with feedback or warning. Offensive posts or spam are escalated.

Our focus is on keeping the energy here positive, open-minded, and mature, not on punishing anyone for sharing.

So keep posting your experiences, keep asking questions, and keep helping others find their way.
Let’s make r/AstralProjection a calm, inspiring space where curiosity and respect guide every conversation. šŸŒ™

With appreciation,
– The r/AstralProjection Mod Team

Introduction

Astral Projection, or an Out-of-Body Experience, or Near Death Experience, is the process of detaching consciousness from the body and travelling into non-physical reality; this reality is commonly called the Astral Plane. This is NOT the same as lucid dreaming; however, they are intimately connected; keep reading for various explanations of the difference. By using certain techniques and shifting one's awareness in specific ways, one can experience leaving the body, standing next to your bed and looking down at your physical body. From here, you're able to fly amongst the clouds, visit a different country, discover space, speak with other astral projectors or learn lessons from masters and guides who live in the Astral. You can discover yourself and the journey of your soul and learn new and objective information such as the history of our planet or possible future events. All of this is possible because the Astral Plane is commonly described as the 5th dimension of nature, which if you understand that in terms of raw science, you'll understand that it is beyond time and space. This sounds far-fetched at first, but in practice, it is perfectly understandable and it's a perfectly natural state and an innate ability that anyone can do.

Contrary to widespread knowledge, there are already numerous studies and tests to prove or at least suggest that OBEs is scientifically verifiable phenomena. Look up Graham Nicholls, who has had thousands of experiences, verified them with witnesses and is also being tested on; he is 100% objective and scientific in his approach, we hosted a Q&A event with him in our Discord which you can view here. Additionally, quantum physics is on the verge of understanding the multidimensional truth about the universe. Astral Projection is not paranormal and is not pseudoscience, it is absolutely natural phenomena. May we remind you that lucid dreaming was not considered 'real' up until around 40 years ago when enough scientific studies and media were surrounding it to finally be accepted into collective knowledge.

Furthermore, this topic seems to have certain stereotypes attached to it, such as the type of people interested in it - in our experience, you will find only that the most developed, intelligent and sincere people are those who are highly experienced. Those who are arrogant, egoic and uneducated are usually the ones who can be more delusional and inexperienced. Regardless, no matter who you are, even if you are sceptical or religious, anyone, from any walk of life, from almost any belief system, can achieve Astral Project. Thus your life, and your perception of life, will never be the same again - Astral Projection goes beyond belief, beyond anything one can imagine it to be like; it is one of the most authentic experiences that you'll ever have. It is not an escape from reality, but a unifying experience of a deeper, truer and intrinsic reality. It is not a dream, fantasy, visualiation or imagination. It is a full-on out-of-body experience in the true sense of the word; when it happens, you will know. This is Gnosis; knowledge based on direct experience, rather than belief.

A good introductory lecture on Astral projection can be found here.

The Golden Rule

If you want to learn how to Astral Project, you need to put in the work. You need to study the subject, read, watch the videos, get inspired, meditate and practice. Some are more natural at this than others, but regardless, anyone can do it; you need only to make an effort to master it like with anything in life. Practice makes perfect. It's the same as learning martial arts; you have to get up, go to the dojo, get to know the techniques, how it feels, and align them with your body and mind until mastered.

A Message To Everyone Who Is New

This link contains information about common misconceptions about Astral Projection, please read it:

https://www.reddit.com/r/AstralProjection/comments/ayq2zo/the_same_questions_keep_being_aksed_over_and_over/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x

Remember, Astral Projection is the process where one detaches consciousness from the body. By using certain techniques one can achieve the sensation where you leave your body, stand next to your bed and look down on your physical body. You take control of your energetic body (this has many names) and you are able to manoeuvre this energetic body wherever you desire. For the sceptics, we know how it sounds. But we promise you that it is very real and if you put your beliefs and speculations to the side for a moment and practice, you will experience it for yourself directly, which is completely different from what you could ever imagine, and will surpass all of your expectations (unlike a dream, which lives off expectation).

As to what Astral Projection exactly is, it is of little practical use to discuss this. You can, but you will see that belief and speculation is all in the mind. Whether it is a spiritual experience or a scientific one, all we know for sure is that it can be experienced. It can be done. Everyone can do this. Draw your own conclusion AFTER you Astral Project. Until then, you are just either accepting or disregarding the ideas of other people. An idea can be a tricky thing. It spread fast and if the idea comes from someone who never projected, and does not know what he or she talked about, then it can be a damaging influence.

As well as all this, please be sure to read our rules. They are in place for the respect, equality and benefit of everyone and in them hold core principles that this community values.

What's the Difference Between Lucid Dreaming & Astral Projection?

In their deepest essence, lucid dreaming and Astral Projection are very different. Just one explanation you can say is that dreams are an inward subjective experience of your own creation of infinite possibilities, but Astral Projection is an outward objective experience of actual planes of existence that have laws and limitations similar to the physical plane. Unlike dreams, it is a real and tangible place where you can interact with others. Sometimes though there are experiences blurred between the Astral and dreams and it can be difficult to tell the difference. And also the opposite of this explanation can be true whereby we can have shared dreams and non-shared Astral projection. Check out this post and the stickied comment there. There's no absolute formula to tell whether it's a dream or the Astral unless you are experienced, which usually comes after years of practice and honest introspection. What's important is that we learn from wherever we find ourselves in the non-physical; dreams can be just as, if not more significant and profound than Astral Projection, in terms of learning about your own personal spiritual progression.

Check out this video for a full explanation

Continue to check out our Wiki for further explanations, you will find so much useful information in the library of this subreddit. For example, here's a great post explaining: "Is Astral Projection Real or Not?"

Is Astral Projection Dangerous?

Where is the man that keeps telling everyone he never returned from the Astral Plane? How can he spread this message if he never returned? Among all the experienced Astral Projectors who have done it thousands of times, no one ever got stuck, got hurt, got possessed, got 'memory wiped', got reincarnated etc. This is all nonsense, ridiculous fantasies of the mind which derive from fear and fear-mongering.

Remember this well: Fear is a product of ignorance. People who don't have knowledge will fear that what they don't know. If someone shouts "DEMONS~POSSESSION~EVIL", it is very likely that they have no idea what they are talking about. There is nothing to fear but fear itself. Every experienced Astral Projector will tell you this. You cannot get hurt. You can fly straight into the sun and get out on the other end without a scratch. Actually, if you read deeply enough, you will find many Astral Projectors have come to the understanding that we all leave the body every night unconsciously anyway.

Can Anything Possess You While You're Out of Body?

You'll find a lot of misinformation and fear-mongering about this and it's mostly nonsense. Astral Projection is absolutely safe and natural. Read these 2 arguments from an Astral Projector's point of view:

1. The Astral body is connected to the physical body in a similar way that a radio is connected to frequencies. You can't have one without the other. PROJECTING implies one location to another, so two locations, not just one. You can be on the other side of the galaxy but still connected to your body. You can also look into the 'silver cord' about this.

2. The fact that we all Astral project every night unconsciously anyway implies that it is most likely safe since you don't really see anyone becoming possessed. In a sense, it's actually safer to practice Astral projection than it is not to, because at least then you'd be conscious of what you're doing and being influenced by at night. Of course, you can't really know whether we Astral project unconsciously every night until you become experienced yourself, but many authors will agree on this.

What is the Astral Plane Like?

Imagine the Astral plane as a place that has different layers, it is multidimensional. It is possible to travel between these layers. Imagine a very high skyscraper; every floor has its own characteristics, its own inhabitants, its own surroundings... its own vibration, frequency and energy.

The first floor is a place of lower vibrations, close to the Earth. It's likely that when you Astral project for the first time this is where your first experience will be. The Astral Plane is a place you share with other humans who Astral project, but also with a lot of regular people that inhabit these planes as their primary home in the afterlife.

When we say low vibrations we mean a low form of consciousness. Not low as in stupid or lesser, low as in dark, restraining, limited. Fear for example is the product of a low vibration, and love is a product of a high vibration.

Check out this diagram and read the stickied comment there.

More on Fear

Fear is nothing but fear itself. It is not a danger to you, it is not a brick in the face. It is simply a feeling that you can completely control and choose whether to feel or not. When it appears, just breathe and accept it. What you accept, you go beyond. Never let fear influence you. It is an undesired state that controls you; instead, control it. There is nothing to be scared of. You can encounter a scary experience, so what? Alright, that was scary, but that's it; an experience. You will get used to it and get over it, and new and more enlightening experiences will follow.

Now to speak more spiritually (sceptics keep your pants on); there are many types of inhabitants or forces in the Astral that can assist you in coming out of body. They have been commonly called guides, masters, angels, spirits etc. Regardless of their labels, they are authentic beings that want you to help you. Your compass to attract them is a sincere and open heart. They have much to share about life, the universe, existence and so forth. These beings are of a highly positive nature, ask them for help and they will. They have your best interest in mind and will teach you many things you want to know. Remember, the Astral Plane is the 5th dimension, distance between objects do not exist, a simple thought or feeling can attract a 'helper' who will come in no time. With this said, many will be sceptical of whether such a thing is possible; that's fine. There is no need to believe in such things. However over time and experience you may start to understand how it is actually possible. It's all about keeping an open mind.

An IMPORTANT Message to Everyone Who is Experienced!

We live in a time where Astral Projection is finally reaching the masses, slowly but surely! We can be part of the initiation of so many new people. The only thing it requires is patience and wisdom.

This sub is not like other subs on Reddit. It is not about being an overly active sub. It is not about posts that receive a lot of upvotes. Its function is not to entertain, it is to teach, with an occasional laugh.

We truly see this sub as a library. We collect as much information as possible and make it available to everyone who walks in. It is a library of development, and in the hallways of the library, people are talking about all kinds of subjects. Sometimes related, sometimes a little less related to what the library offers. Who cares. It's not about the conversations in the hallway, it is about the collection of wisdom that the library offers. It is about the people who walk in and have no idea what is going on. It is about teaching as many people as possible what this all is, how to experience it, and collectively, as a species, discover this next aspect of life.

It can be very frustrating. We know. The number of new people who come into the library shouting and screaming all sorts of things grows by the day in this world of controversy and illusion. The flow of new people entering will never stop - that is a fundamental fact that makes this sub what it is. There are a lot of online forums that have only a few experienced Astral Projectors, but this is the most popular virtual space there is with many wise and experienced members, and this, therefore, implies important work and provides purpose for those who are experienced; to help other souls realise their potential is one of the most beautiful gifts you can give to others.

You can do 2 things:

  1. You are annoyed with the new people who visit our library and you decide it is too loud and you leave.
  2. You see a group of new people walking in the library and sit down, smile, listen to the ridiculous things they have to say from time to time, and even enjoy it sometimes, and say, "Alright, now sit down and let me show you how it actually works."

Everybody has to start somewhere. It is the internet, reflective of our dear human race's collective chaos. Every single kind of person on the planet is represented here. Take that into consideration. Be patient. Try not to be so uptight with gatekeeping. Everyone is welcome here to learn and discuss. Try to see the bigger picture. How long this sub can exist depends on how many people it can help and benefit and how we help each other as human beings.

There is not much more than we can do than present all the information in an easily accessible way as we do already. People will always be lazy and ask the same question as we all know. Answering can be boring, repetitive and annoying sometimes. However, we will never stop. We believe in spreading this knowledge to everyone and we hope you do as well.

If you have the knowledge and you know how to Astral Project then now is not the time to hold onto that knowledge privately. Now is the time to HELP. Humanity is in a state that NEEDS help. So many people are on the verge of awakening. If you know EXACTLY how to project, then you know EXACTLY what a beginner needs to know. The core reason why this subreddit has thrived for so long is that there are special souls here who have been helping others. Share what you know, teach, give guidance, share your wisdom. Only good can come of this. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Those of you who are already helping, you are noticed, and you are truly appreciated šŸ’›

A couple of Buddhist quotes summarises the philosophy of this subreddit well:

"Our visit to this planet is short, so we should use our time meaningfully. Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them."

"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle. Happiness, knowledge and wisdom never decreases by being shared."

Successful AP first time astral projection!!

hello!!! so I am kinda new to astral projection and I have been studying it for roughly the past week or so, but I’m clearly still a beginner.
I would like to share my story on how I astral projected on my first try, and maybe I can help some others, or people could tell me if what I experienced was truly astral projection, or give me some tips, as I didn’t get that far :(
so first I went to bed an hour early, and I laid in bed (on my back I heard it helps) with no music, no phone, just a fan and my physical body :3
then I slowly felt a tingling sensation in my knees, hands, and feet, I tried to remain calm and I slowly started to feel myself spinning when my physical body wasn’t moving at all, I then slowly started using the rope method, and I think it worked! I slowly lifted up out of my body, it was like something I have never felt before, I felt myself rising up, but then all of a sudden I got too excited, and I thumped back into my physical body :)
Im just so happy I made it so far <3

General Question Seeing another version of myself. Has anyone experienced this?

Yesterday I had a projection where I saw myself in the mirror. The mirror was oval shaped in what looked like a restroom. I saw myself as tho looking in the mirror at myself. I looked a bit different but same age. The feeling I got was that I was seeing another version of myself inside a parallel reality where I exist. I’ve had many projections where I’m looking down on myself but inside the same reality which I’m guessing would qualify OBE, but this one was different in the sense that I knew it was me but I also knew that it’s from a different subjective experience

Was This AP? Possible Astral Projection?

Hello all. I am unsure of my experience and really have no one to talk to about it that would understand.
I’ve always had some abilities that connect to some collective consciousness. My first lucid dream was when I was about seven or eight. Especially when napping during the day. And as I’ve gotten an older if I take a nap during the day, (which was like very rare)I have what feels like sleep paralysis. It feels like I’m getting sucked into some kind of vortex. I hear loud buzzing and feel a strong vibration. I get really scared and do everything I can to not get sucked in. And make myself wake up. I feel like I’m going to die.
It’s in a state between sleep and awake that this happens. Well, now that I have cancer i’ve been napping during the day a lot. The other day I had that feeling, as I was coming out of a deep sleep. I heard extremely loud buzzing and when I opened my eyes, I could see like bright electricity jumping all around. I was scared because it was extremely loud. But I just allowed it and told myself I would be OK. It looked like something ripping open in front of me, the electricity? And I was looking into a white living room with a beige couch and a coffee table. I tried to hold it and it faded. This morning I was woken up early and tried to go back to sleep and it happened again and this time I was looking at what looked like some kind of underground prison bathroom? I have no other way to describe it.
Sometimes while falling asleep I experience something that’s similar, kind of hard to describe, but it’s like I’m experiencing things through multiple peopleā€˜s eyes, really random pointless things and it happens really fast, same kind of vortex feeling, not as strong and I have no control, it’s kind of fun and it doesn’t happen often, but when it does, I actually really enjoy it. It feels like a ride.
I don’t know what this is. It’s not a dream. I am fully aware.

Need Tips / Advice / Insights i saw a familiar cup, and then it disappeared :(

from my dream journal:

oct 12th: still dont really remember dreaming but i remember being in somewhat of a hypnagogic state and i saw my girlfriends water bottle on the dresser in front of her bed, and when i tried to focus on it it disappeared right away and i woke up fully. not too sure why, i didn’t get excited or anything, but i felt 100% aware and KNEW i was physically in my own bed at home, and not at my girlfriends.

it’s been years since ive been able to get to a state like this. i used to be able to get into the vibrational stage quiet often but fell out of practice because i couldn’t ap after years of trying. this experience sparked my drive to keep going again

Question on How to AP How long should I keep trying to separate from my body during the vibrational state?

Hi everyone!
I’ve been practicing astral projection for a while now, and I’m happy to say that I’m no longer afraid. I actually feel pretty brave and excited about the experience!
I can reach the state where my body feels completely asleep while my mind stays awake pretty quickly.
Once I reach that state, I start imagining myself floating out of my body or climbing an imaginary rope. However, I still haven’t been successful.
My questions are:
How long should I keep visualizing myself floating or climbing the rope?
Should I keep trying for several minutes, or just relax and let it happen naturally?
Am I supposed to feel something specific before attempting these techniques?
Does anyone have tips that helped them get past this stage?
I feel like I’m getting closer, but I’m not sure what I’m missing.
I’d love to hear about your experiences and what worked for you!
Thank you!

Need Tips / Advice / Insights Does being bipolar prevent me from astral travel?

Hi. I am 24 years old boy. I intresting spritual thinks since 15. My bipolar medication is necessary for me to sleep. Stopping my medication is impossible. On the second day I don't take my medication, my senses become more heightened, and I can't sleep without it. Would it be sensible to try astral travel on the night of that second day? By the way, I'm a stable bipolar patient.

Need Tips / Advice / Insights astral projection

last night i tried to AP for the first time, im not really sure what im supposed to feel or how to know ive done it. last night i laid down in my bed( for context me and my brother are sharing a bed rn) i told him that i was going to try to astral project and he was nervous for me. i wasn’t scared because i really want to AP and truly believe its real. but i cant fully believe it unless i try. but i laid down in my bed my room was dark and he was asleep so i closed my eyes and focused on my breathing. there were moments where i felt like i was no longer in my body and that i was in my head, it sounds weird but this is what i felt like. then i realized that the black i was seeing from my eyes being closed was getting blacker, like a wave of the darkest black i’ve ever seen was taking over my eyes and then i swear for a second i saw i blue light come with the dark black taking over my mind. and then my brother moved and i was sent right back into reality. i tried again and after that i didn’t get the blue light again but the dark black was still taking over my vision. but i noticed that if a thought popped into my head immediately i was back into reality. is there any tips to having a quiet mind, or any tips really to AP im a beginner but i really want to be able to achieve this.

Was This AP? Could this have been an astral projection

I had a strange dream recently and wanted to ask people who practice astral projection whether it sounds familiar.
I became partially lucid and realized I was on an island I’d dreamed about years ago. It had a main house, an outdoor area, and what seemed like a large party house.

In the earlier dream, it was nighttime and there was a party going on. I felt like I wasn’t supposed to be there, and the whole thing felt unusually real. This time, I was on another part of the island during the day. I couldn’t clearly see the layout, but I somehow knew it was the same place.

While I was lucid, I had a strong feeling that the island was a real place people could visit in dreams. I even felt like I knew its name and location, though I can’t remember either now. I also felt as if I’d been there many times before, even though I only remember these two dreams.

I know vivid or lucid dreams can feel completely real, so I’m not assuming it was astral projection. I’m just curious whether this sounds familiar to anyone who has experienced it.

Have you ever visited a place during astral projection that felt familiar or seemed to exist independently of your mind? If you’ve experienced both astral projection and lucid dreaming, how do you tell the difference?

New to AP I just found out about AP and I'm open to all the advice

Here are a few questions:

  1. How long does it usually take to astral project, especially for the first time?

  2. Is it true that during AP you can meet other people who are doing it at the moment and other entities? Or is it just exploring your mind?

  3. Do I need to be laying down on my back and my limbs can't be touching or does it just make AP easier?

  4. Does my body phisically rest during AP?

I have tried to astral project once, but I somewhat have up (I guess I was a bit impatient at the time, but I can fix it). I wasn't moving at all, not even scratching, I was only breathing. I was feeling some "vibrations" in my arms (not literally were my arms vibrating, I don't know how to call that feeling so I hope you know what I mean) and it lasted a few minutes already so I gave up. I will gladly take any advice! By the way, I am already into spirituality – manifestation. Thank you for help!

OBE Confirmation Almost, but not quite and never again

I was lying on my back, had no thoughts of having any type of experiences except a good night sleep. Suddenly I felt myself floating above my body but before I touched the ceiling, My Son burst into my room to tell me my Mom had fallen out of bed! I LITERALLY felt my lighter self SLAM back into my body and I heard myself say the Umph noise out loud! It really hurt! I have heard of you're abruptly interrupted that type of pain can happen, has anyone else experienced this? šŸ‘€

Almost AP'd and/or Question New here

I’m shocked that this is a thing. I think I have accidentally gotten close to AP as a kid without realizing. I would just get bored and picture the earth and imagine how small we are and how big the universe is, still visioning the earth, I’d feel myself gravitate towards earth then something would just take over my body and spring me awake leaving me in a brief sense of panic but that’s it. And I remember doing this on multiple occasions on purpose just bored at night. I look forward to learning more but I’m catholic and gotta do some research lol.

Thought I might add I often use to get sleep paralysis and lucid dreaming unintentionally. Something would always wake me up though haha

General AP Info / Discussion Once you do AP, you will never stop

Hi!

I will start the discussion by stating that I never reached the point of achieving an AP. Therefore, I would like your point of view on this subject:

Robert Monroe, in his book called "Journeys Out of the Body", warned readers that once you open the gate to AP, you will never be able to sleep normally again. He claimed you will always be consciously awake, feeling the vibrations, and slipping out of your body. Is this really true?

I love sleep deeply: the moment I hit the bed, I fall straight asleep and stay that way for a solid 7 or 8 hours. Before continuing to try and achieve AP, I want to be sure it won't ruin my night-time sleep routine.

Here are my other questions:

- Does AP make you feel mentally exhausted?

-Are you actually able to sleep normally? Or once you start with AP, are you constantly "out"?

- When you are out, are you able to get back without physically waking up?

Thanks a lot!

General AP Info / Discussion I met an entity called ā€œMepremeaā€

I projected to my grandparents old home today. I was hoping to see, or look for, my deceased grandmother, as I have seen her there once before.

Getting there didn’t take much effort. I flew in a horizontal line, past many houses (American suburbs), and then buildings, once I arrived to my home country/city. I wouldn’t really know how to get there from a traditional coordinate standpoint, because that would technically involve navigating to a different continent, but I never really have a hard time getting to this destination in particular. Perhaps because it’s so familiar.

The apartment is quite large, has many rooms, and it’s dark. Not a single light is on. I roam the halls, everything completely empty. I look out the window, and the city of Sao Paulo is quite beautiful at night. For someone who has lived in suburbs for the last 16 years, the city does invoke a sense of awe for some reason, especially at night.

I see buildings, I can see the favela (Paraisopolis), and things are mostly as I remember last seeing them.

I turn around, and float across the living room. All lights are off, but I can see clearly.

Before going in to my grandparents room, I float in to a different room, because I’m checking them one by one. This particular room is probably the one that holds the least significance. It’s not the room my mother grew up in, it’s not the one I grew up in, and no one really ever lived there. I slept in this room when I last visited, but it’s mostly an office that can be used as a guest room, because it has a couch that converts in to a bed.

I take a moment, look around, look out the window again, and then proceed to leave the room. When I’m about to leave the room, I see my wife. She’s standing just outside of the room.

She waves at me, I ask what is she doing there, and I can instantly tell something is off. I know this isn’t actually my wife.

I call it out, and say to it: -ā€œI know you’re not my wifeā€.

It then takes the shape of a beautiful young blond woman, whom I have never met.

This is normally the point where I become hostile, as I don’t like when things try to deceive me. However, I didn’t get a negative feeling from it, nor malice.

So I say:

- ā€œWow, you’re beautifulā€.

It responds:

-ā€œReally…?ā€

With the way it responded, plus an intuitive feeling, I could tell it was extremely insecure, or worried, about its appearance.

The moment it responded to me, its appearance changed once again. This time it turned in to something non-human, to say the least.

I want to be very careful with how I describe this being, as to not be disrespectful. It was clearly not human, and very ā€œanimal-likeā€. I don’t know if I would call it ā€œrat-likeā€ or ā€œwolf-likeā€ or ā€œdog-likeā€, but it’s cranium had the shape of an animal, with a snout, and whiskers. Its entire face and body was also covered in dark grey or black fur. Bipedal like a human. Clearly female, and had a soft female voice.

To be honest with you, I have no idea what I was looking at.

When I saw it, I got some sort of nonverbal communication. Not telepathy, not a download, just an intuitive knowing that it was afraid to show me it’s true form, because of the way I might react. It was insecure.

So when it morphed, and asked me the question, I guess I felt compassion for it. I grabbed its hand, kneeled with one leg, and kissed its hand. I don’t know why I did this, describing it sounds weird, but in the moment it was the first thing I thought of doing. Like an old timey greeting.

I guess I wanted to relieve its insecurity and that’s the first thing my dumb ass thought of doing. I wanted them to feel beautiful or normal. So I said:

- Yes, really. It’s nice to meet you.

- It’s nice to meet you too.

I’ve never greeted anyone in this manner before, but in the moment this is what I felt compelled to do. To kneel and make it feel special.

I guess you could say that it looked scary, and not conventionally attractive to human standards, but the sweetness in their voice made it likable and not intimidating. I wasn’t afraid of it, nor did I sense hostility. I just sensed a lot of insecurity, and that it wanted to run away.

I ask it:

- Could I please ask you some questions?

- Sure. (It had a very warm tone).

I gently grab its hand, and sit them next to me on the couch. It didn’t resist, and seemed flattered or happy to speak with me. Conversation went something like this (to keep it objective):

- I have to ask, why are you here?

- I was just passing by, and then I saw you.

- Why did you take the form of my wife?

- Because I didn’t want to scare you.

- But why my wife?

- Because it’s familiar to you.

- What is your name?

- Mepremea (Mepremia?).

I began to feel sick during this conversation. Short of breath, dizzy.

I had several more questions for it, as it was very nice and willing to answer everything I was asking. When I went to ask the next question, I paused, and instead I said:

- I’m sorry, I have more questions, but for some reason I don’t feel well.

It gasped with concern, genuine concern:

- You need to go back, now. (It said so with a concerned and caring voice).

It grabbed me by the hand, flew me out the window, and as if with the speed of light, took me back to my room, next to my body. It tugged my arm, and almost threw me back in to it.

I opened my eyes that same second, looking for it, because there was almost no transitional time between states, but I felt EXTREMELY dehydrated and hot.

I keep the AC at 65 degrees, but I feel like it could easily be 80 in here. I chugged a ton of water, and my body temperature has still not come down, even 2h after. (By the 3rd hour now, it has).

I don’t feel sick like I have a fever or anything, I just feel very hot.

I didn’t lay down dehydrated or anything, so I wonder why that happened. I do have cardiac problems though, and some times this does happen naturally. I don't believe the entity was the cause of it necessarily, it could be coincidence/condition-related.

If you ask me what it was, or what my intuition tells me, the answer is I have no idea. I didn’t feel malice or danger, I felt it had a genuine sense of care and concern, but I wouldn’t know what to classify it as. No idea. Never seen anything quite like it.

Almost AP'd and/or Question Why am I scared?

Hey, I know this question probably gets asked a lot but I'd appreciate some advice.

Last night I went to bed with the intention of trying to astral project (for the first time). All was going well until about 20ish minutes id guess into my meditative state or whatever you want to call it. I started feel like my body was becoming weightless so I thought I must be close. Then I began to feel like everything was spinning really fast. Literially felt like I had the spins from being drunk even though I had my eyes closed.

I don't know why but I just became really scared for some reason - even though I'm trying hard to astral project and have been throughout this whole year. My heart started beating out of my chest I could literially hear it I was terrified for whatever reason, all while this spinning was still happening. I didn't give up though. I began thinking to myself "you're fine, you're safe" things like that and I began to calm down. But then it this spinning began to stop and it went back to normal.

I had a previous experience similar to this a few months ago when I managed to reach the vibrational stage - but I panicked and woke up.

How can I avoid this? Thanks

OBE Confirmation Out of Body Experience That Potentially Saved My Life?

I found this subreddit because Papa Meat just made a video about it so I thought it would be interesting to share my story and to see if anyone else had a similar experience.

I was in the Army and we were in the field for a gunnery exercise with our Bradley Fighting Vehicle. It was nighttime and January- even had snow that week in the desert and it was brutal. Our vehicles were staged for the night and we were sleeping. We had the the heat running full blast- which was definitely spewing out exhaust fumes. We were exhausted and freezing so we just ignored it.... All hatches closed and locked in for the night.

I was in my sleeping bag sleeping on the left bench seat. All of a sudden, my body gets really warm. All of a sudden, my whole body starts tingling. The best way I could describe it is the pins and needles feeling your foot or leg gets when it falls asleep- except the entire body.

All of a sudden, I start to float out of my body. I look at my body and my surroundings and everything was how it was in reality. My face towards the back of the bench seat and in my gray cold weather sleeping bag. I start floating up with a very warm and reassuring feeling. I came to the conclusion that I was dead but I just kind of accepted it. I floated up through the top of my Bradley. I start floating, accepting the new path I was on and I get around 25 to 30 ft above my vehicle looking down on it.

All of a sudden someone places their hand on my right shoulder from behind. It was a female's voice and all she said to me was "It's not your time yet.". Then she lowered me back down and I went back into my body.

As soon as I entered my body again, I woke up. Sweating profusely, disoriented, nauseous, and short of breath. I immediately opened the troop hatch behind me to air out the vehicle.

After that, I went to check on my driver. He seemed okay but I noticed the engine access panel wasnt latched that was next to him- so that couldn't have helped our situation either. I got that latched up, went outside to clear my head, and then went back to sleep with some hatches cracked open and the heater turned off.

That was my first out of body experience ever but ever since that experience, I have had more of them. Some have been scary and have turned into sleep paralysis, but others were warm and inviting.

However, I don't know who or what that being was that lowered me back into my body, but I really do feel like that experience potentially saved both my life and my driver's.
