I am a polytheist psychic medium who believes in reincarnation + free will + destiny, but I am finding more and more that the physical bodies we inhabit come with a lot of paperwork. Based on what I know, we draft up a life plan (including karmic lessons) and then come down to planet earth, but I have no info about the actual BODIES that we select, beyond gender and family roles. Would someone actively select a body that is bipolar or schizophrenic? Or is that something that creates a side quest or increased level of difficulty for certain karmic lessons once we arrive?

If reincarnation is real, I will experience torture, starvation and abuse.

By ‘I’ I mean either my current soul or the universe experiencing itself. Either way I will feel what it’s like to be born into a family of poverty or beheaded by a terrorist in Syria.

This thought terrifies me, I don’t want to be forced to experience every possible tragedy there is.

I guess i’m searching for reassurance, correction on what the theory of reincarnation is or compassion.

I believe in reincarnation and as a person said before me, I am scared of being reincarnated because of all the suffering that humans and animals go through. I am scared for what we will go through and for all the pain and suffering that we will experience. But I also want to experience all the positives there are to life. I just wish there was a way for humans to be good to living beings. I hate how much suffering and torture and rapes and murders and suicides there are. I just wish we could be good to each other and love and care about each other and not be awful people.

I want to experience all the love and light that there is without the pain. I know that I will most likely forget all the suffering I've experienced in this lifetime when I go through the veil, but it doesn't erase it. I am so exhausted and I don't know how many times I have lived but I've had experienced something that makes me feel like I have been through so many lives and that I am a very old soul. I always compare myself to a sage of sorts because I feel like I am very wise. I'm not trying to sound pretentious, but I have been told several times that I have lots of wisdom for my age. I am so tired and want peace. I sometimes wish I could experience being nothingness and truly know what peace and rest is because life has been so much on me. I know there are other people who are experiencing way worse than I am right now, and I feel an immense amount of compassion and empathy for them, but with what I went through; showing me that I have lived through so much suffering and pleasure, I just want us to know rest one day. I am tired.

I want to ask you all , is sleep and reincarnation basically the same thing in a sense? when your sleep , your traveling to different realms . and completely unaware during it. When you wake up. you lose your memory traveling to other realms because you are basically unconscious in a way.. when you are reborn you don’t gain consciousness until like your 5 or 6. and then you are back on this planet. and don’t remember a single thing. during your time in the spirit realm until it times for you to incarnate back here. So are the same?

Lonely old soul

According to Dolores Cannon’s teachings (that’s how I personally started believing in reincarnation), we choose our life experiences and struggles as souls before incarnating, because they’re meant to teach us certain lessons. Once we incarnate, we forget that we made those choices in the first place.
But something about this has always made me wonder.
Why would I have to physically die to choose a different set of experiences?
If I’m a soul, a part of a greater consciousness, having a human experience, why can’t I simply decide, while I’m still alive, that I no longer want to go through certain experiences and that I want to choose a different path instead?
For example, why couldn’t I say, “Okay, I’ve experienced enough of this. I’ve learned what I needed to learn (or haven’t or even don’t want to anymore), and now I want to experience something different,” and have my reality change accordingly?
If we have the freedom to choose our experiences on a soul level, why would that freedom only be available between incarnations? And if our higher selves are aware of other possibilities or parallel realities, why would changing our experiences require us to die first?

Non believer at the moment

So how do yall really know reincarnation is possible and if it is real does everyone get reincarnate or is only for a few selected people also does dieing differently like for example suicide, accident or murder affects the person reincarnation.

About eight years ago an invisible being invaded my life. It was a being from past lives and invades in different lifetimes and worlds as it told me. this being hung out around me and did the most awful things to my life that I can’t even describe.

Prior to this being invading, I had a good life a great job and had a bunch of money saved up, had worked all my life and was just average and successful.

I never believed in reincarnation, but once this being invaded, I definitely did as it showed me past lifetimes, stories I remember, and things I can’t even describe.

The reason this invisible being invaded was because I was chatting with two famous people in 2017 and it was extremely jealous of us, I’m not sure why. We hadn’t met and they were just messing around with me. The being didn’t want us meeting. the being also claimed that I had past lives with these famous people but it may have been lying and claimed I was married to one of them in the future and said that in parallel universes I was married to another one. the famous people were Kirk and James of Metallica. Again, I’m not sure if this was true and I was like why aren’t you invading my life in those universes where I’m rich and famous? why when I’m just a random person?

I remember the exact day that this being invaded, and even for years I had no clue this thing was even there just ruining my life. it claimed it was a genius later on when it was a destructive murderer and worse. It created something very specific using its invisible abilities and socks it only on me, and claims that it has been invading my life for years and centuries. It showed me what it does to me in other lifetimes and I remember this being. But another lifetimes it’s not that destructive or evil and it usually leaves me alone After a few days. It showed me commercials and cartoons from other worlds and semi told me about timelines and realms. I begged it to be friends with me but it wouldn’t stop hurting me for years.

It promised me it would teach me about timelines and realms and claimed I had magical abilities from another world and promised it was going to give me my magical abilities- but then kept saying it was giving them to friends family and kept hurting me and lying to me. I don’t know why it wanted to hurt me this badly Or do this to me. In other worlds it does teach me these things and is sometimes Even nice to me.

it began sexual campaigns against me for years despite me being a hot sex object and spent years telling me how it was having sex with friends, family and co workers and said to me ”I’ll let you know when you’re allowed to have sex.” It promised it would finally have sex with me but kept hurting me.

it told me that other past life dead people who were masters in some world along with it always watch me get “reborn” and they were all dead creatures now with magical abilities. this is all a true, factual, and not so hard to believe story and situation. I even had a dream about these dead master people when I was a child and they showed me that dream.

in the dream, we were all together with my dad and flying over sunflower fields. it was me, a master and his master, and I still remember this dream .

One of the master creatures showed me what he looked like when he was a human, said he was jealous of my relationship with God and jealous I was still a human, claimed he escaped hell using his abilities, and said I was supposed to be part of his higher realm but was in a lower realm for some reason. The being claimed that this specific master didn’t feel like I was good enough for those metallica people and that he did not want us meeting either. These are apparently very jealous evil past life psychos who had no right to be in my life at all and did what they could to hurt me and I can’t even say how it’s just too much. the being was very jealous of me just chatting with the dumb metallica people who I could give less of a crap about. basically my life got invaded by these jealous creatures.

this being spent years, destroying my life and doing the most horrible things to me that I can’t even get into. it kept promising it would leave or stop but would leave and then come back after months. it showed me many past lifetimes and stories I remember. it was very weird And nostalgic. It also promised me hundreds of things for destroying my life but kept doing what it felt comfortable doing which was hurting me.

The being claimed it was an entity and that they are not allowed to invade the human world, but it just didn’t care and wanted to continue to hurt me. it also claimed that there are zillions of invisible beings around us but there is an unspoken rule that they are not allowed to invade the human world, but some of these beings break the rules. This isn’t so hard to believe either as there are obviously other dimensions and there is an invisible world. it claimed it has been chasing my soul around throughout lifetimes in universes, and it began a long time ago while watching me in some other world.

I don’t understand why the average person does not believe in other invisible beings. invisible beings have abilities like God and magical abilities. They can go back and forward in time and can do just about anything but most aren’t this evil or destructive. This being explained all of these things to me and told me that God creates all of these invisible beings with magical abilities, including angels and demons, but of course their abilities are a little bit different from these worthless, invisible beings. It even claimed it was a worthless, invisible being And was basically a useless creature and said it felt it had a voice through me Which made no sense as it ruined my life.

This particular being that invades my life, supposedly claimed to have given my baby niece cancer claimed it gave Eddie money cancer at the same time and gave both of them stage four cancer, and supposedly claimed it stole Bob Sagets life too just because I went to his show in January of 2022. It was utterly obsessed with celebrities, obsessed with having sex with celebs and other things. They can give anyone a disease obviously and it did just that along with other things.

At some point last year, some other being that was around me got rid of this main invisible being. in February of 2026, some other being from some other world, invaded claiming that it had watched this other being invade, so it decided to invade as well. Then creatures from other worlds began to sock dangerous beings onto me for several months. one of the beings brought this being back and it got rid of all of those creatures it was so confusing horrible and weird.

prior to this being invasion, I didn’t believe in reincarnation, but of course after it’s invasion, I do now.

this being promised me the sun, moon and stars, and it promised me unlimited money for all the bad it did to my life. it promised I would become a “bitter trillionaire” one day and be living in mansions with zillions of cars and spent years describing all of this to me only to continue to take from me and ruin my life.

I don’t know any of my past names but I dream about my past life (him) and he shows up in random thoughts. I’m a Christian but this is an itch I can’t scratch. Why am I so convinced that these were her names but I can’t remember any of mine?

Does merging with Archangel Michael mean I can finally go back home to the Creator? I remember darkness and asteroids quietly floating by then light and I remember singing and flying and I remember the sound of my wings and singing and the feeling of love and peace then I remember playing on the shores of Mintaka, then separation happened and I remember fighting I was a warrior and I remember looking the same as I do now as an angel I was Archeia Faith but after reincarnating so much I guess somewhere I forgot who I was from there I began incarnating first the Antares constellation ( Preamantis) then Mintaka, and after that Lyra, then Mars and now Earth. My body is tired they would like me to choose and I love helping, should I stay on the Council or should I go home? I don’t know what to do?

I’ve often wondered whether death is as final as we imagine it to be. When someone we love dies, their absence can make us question everything we thought we understood about existence. Could consciousness return in another form? Could the people we lose find their way back into the world, even if they no longer remember who they were?

These questions found their way into my short story collection, The Moon Knows All the Secrets of the World. One of the stories follows a grieving daughter who becomes convinced that her dead father has been reincarnated in another city. Unable to let go of the possibility, she travels there to meet the person she believes is her father reborn. The story grew out of my own grief after my father’s death and my questions about reincarnation, memory, and whether the bonds we form with people can survive beyond a single lifetime.

The collection brings together nine stories blending African cosmology, magical realism, psychological horror, and speculative fiction. Elsewhere, a dying African leader undergoes an experiment that could allow his consciousness to rule long after his body is gone; two lovers on opposing sides of the Biafran War struggle to remain connected; and a child grows unnerved by the possibility that the moon is watching him. Across these stories, I’m interested in the mysteries that emerge when the boundaries between the ordinary and the impossible begin to dissolve.

Imagine that one day, you die, and your body slowly returns to the Earth. Over time, the atoms that once formed your skin, bones, blood, and brain become part of the natural world around you. Some of those atoms enter the soil, where a blade of grass absorbs them as it grows. An animal comes along and eats that grass, carrying those same atoms into its own body. Later, a pregnant woman hunts and eats that animal, and some of those atoms eventually become part of the baby growing inside her womb.

Now imagine that the baby is born, takes its first breath, and begins a life of its own, carrying within its body a few of the very same atoms that once belonged to you.

Think about that for a moment. A tiny part of what once made you you is now helping another human being exist. The atoms that once travelled through your bloodstream, formed your cells, and perhaps helped build the brain with which you experienced love, fear, happiness, and sadness might now be part of someone else's heart, skin, or brain.

So, in a strange way, have you returned?

Not as the same person. Not with your memories, personality, or consciousness. The baby would not remember your life, and it would not be you in the usual sense of the word. But some of the physical matter that once belonged to you would have become part of a completely new life.

And this raises an even stranger question: What if reincarnation doesn't mean that your soul returns, but that the matter that made you never truly disappears?

The atoms in your body existed long before you were born. They may once have been part of ancient forests, oceans, animals, or people who lived thousands of years ago. After your death, those atoms will continue moving through the world, becoming parts of things you could never have imagined. Some may enter a tree. Some may drift through the atmosphere. Some may become part of an animal, a stranger, or a child who will live long after everyone who knew you is gone.

Eventually, the atoms that once formed you may become part of countless other living things. In that sense, the boundaries between you and the rest of nature are not as permanent as they seem.

Is that reincarnation? Or is it something even strange ,that life is not a collection of separate things, but an ongoing exchange of matter in which nothing truly belongs to us forever?

Perhaps death is the end of your experience of the universe, but not the end of the universe's use for the matter that made you.

And perhaps, in a very small, physical sense, the world will continue carrying pieces of you long after you are gone.
