I'm looking at a chart from my employer that outlines the availability required of different types of full-time employees. Store managers are required to be available 7 days per week and have "open availability." They are separated, and one is clearly listed under the other.

In the second box, for all other full-time employees, it also lists a 7-day-per-week availability requirement, but the "open availability" line directly underneath is not there. It was clearly omitted on purpose.

What's the difference?

I’m able to do most tasks at Dollar General, but it’s a much smaller store.

We caught a customer on camera trying to shop lift yesterday. He put the item in his pocket and his companion signaled to him there is a camera and he put the item back. They did end up taking three items, but were waiting for a moment to shoplift. Should I ban them from the store or have a conversation with them and let them continue shopping with us?
