I feel like the shuffle feature for Apple Music playlists has gotten better lately. It used to always play the same songs near the beginning, but recently it feels like it's actually shuffling properly. Anyone else experiencing this?

I had Apple Music’s for a few years and recently decided to take a break and listen to my cd collection.

Did I lose everything I had collected?

If I renew my subscription under the old user account do I get my music playlists back? Could anything be stored in ITunes?

I still have all my Spotify playlists from years ago, does Apple delete everything and you have to start over?

I have a Focal Elegia connected to my MBP with the Apple USB-C DAC Dongle.

I can hear a difference when using the headphones on the iPhone (AAC 256) and my MacBook Pro (Lossless).

The AAC feels (slightly) more boxy/metallic or muffled. It's not a huge difference, but noticeable. I have not tested with AirPods. I only use my APP2 on the iPhone so I doubt there could be a difference there.

Am I the only one?

Has anyone been unable to watch the Apple Music Hall livestream in Apple TV and Apple Music? I just wished they told us earlier on which country would be able to watch it. Even followed the instruction Apple gave in their facebook post, but still no livestream

I open the app and it just says 'there was an error, try again later'. is this happening to anyone else?

I never understood on how autoplay works, for some reason whenever I play whatever artist, for example I start playing “F Song” by Strawberry Guy, and then Kendrick Lamar and Playboi Carti pops up even though I never listen to their songs anymore and I only have 2-3 Kendrick’s song in my playlist and that’s it, I always thought of autoplay being like spotify where they play songs that are very similar to the song that you directly picked but maybe I was wrong about how autoplay works and I just been trying to discover new music the wrong way in specific genres.

I have been availing Apple Music student subscription for past 1 year . 5 days back I got notification of price hike of this subscription and that if I didn’t agree to new pricing my subscription would itself cancel on 7th Nov . I agreed to pricing and they also took payment for it ( even tho my Oct subscription has already been paid for ) , however I did the payment twice since it kept showing that notification even after I had paid once . Now the said amount has been deducted from my bank account twice and there’s no such purchase showing in my purchase history .

I’ve been noticing this over the last six months, but music I purchased when I first got iTunes is disappearing. Songs I know for a fact I downloaded because I still listen to them often; entire albums are gone. I’ve rebought a few that are really important to me, but I noticed it even more today and at first I thought I was going crazy but it’s undeniable at this point.

I’ve had my current laptop since 2021 so this isn’t a ‘I transferred laptops and didn’t back up my music’ situation.

I’ve gone allllll the way back in my purchased history to 2005 and ‘requested’ my music back, but tonight I tried that again and the route I took last time is gone. My ‘purchased’ playlist is gone too.

Am I just crazy? (It’s possible.) Has anyone else been experiencing this?

Siri AI frequently fails with basic commands in Apple Music that used to consistently work. Super frustrating.

I noticed my ipad didn't have a flac player. Not an emergency as my android phone has a couple.

My current phone has a potential crack in the screen. I was considering going to the darkside for the first time but a good flac player will be the decision maker. I'd want to use it to play my songs in my car and I don't want to convert any of them. If I convert them then I have to keep track of two sets of music - I get a new song in flac then I have to convert it and put it in the right folder - not gonna happen.

Does anyone have a recommendation? (other than converting the files)

so iv been using the app and synced my music many months ago
now i want to update it but i found out that not only i couldnt find the sync library anymore
but also in my phone setting that exact setting dissapeared too ????? idk what to do now
both devices are under the same account

I have Google Home speakers and I have Apple Music as my streaming service. I have connected my Apple Music to my Google Assistant. Music plays on command without fail. HOWEVER, it has been an endless source of frustration for me that one of the two services almost always plays a live version or a remixed version of the song I tell it to play. It never plays the album version or radio version of most songs I ask it to play. Even when I say "Hey Google play the album version of [song title], it almost always plays some other version. I tend to blame Apple Music for this stupidity, because this problem never happened back when I used Spotify with Google Home. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so, do you know how to fix it?

I’m worried this change in color presages something bigger and we know Ternus wants service revenue up. Do you think now Apple Music and ITunes are both blue they will merge as they are on Mac?

Hello, I am being a little dramatic on the title, but I have been trying and failing so hard to reorganize my AM library, many many years ago when CDs were still a big thing and you could import the music from them into your iTunes library, I added a ton of albums, fast-forward to now, my files are all a mess because it seems like the files I try to add from Apple Music automatically re-add as if I was adding my own imported files from years ago instead of the AM database files, causing a lot of incorrect information on albums such as wrong titles, wrong track numbers, etc. I've tried deleting old library files from my Mac and create a new library but that doesn't work, I hope someone understands and has any advice. Thank you.

Nobody would ever associate a music note exclusively with a single music app. That is precisely the issue: a musical note is a generic symbol, not a brand identity. It’s like a phone receiver or a speech bubble everyone uses similar symbols because they represent universal functions.
That made sense when Apple Music was essentially just another music service.

Today, it has grown into a full fledged brand of its own. Apple has already been using the Apple logo alongside the word "Music" in promotional materials and other applications for years. The natural next step is to gradually retire the musical note and establish  Music as the core visual identity of the service.

There is also the historical link to iTunes. The musical note carries that legacy, which might explain why Apple continues to hold on to it. However, Apple Music and iTunes are distinct products today. Why keep mixing their visual identities? Separate them once and for all, just as Apple has done with its other products and services.

Ultimately, people can suggest a thousand different colors, but none of them will fix the lack of a genuinely unique identity. Any music service can use a musical note; only Apple can turn the apple into an instantly recognizable symbol for Apple Music.

It works properly on my iPad though, so this is something only on my phone. Also, sometimes, when I try to favourite a song from said album, multiple entries of the same song show up, but ‘aren’t available in my region’. I’m on the latest iOS Stable
