Visiting my mom at the hospital and seeing these everywhere. They don’t make any noise, the light doesn’t flash, and are in both rooms and hallways. Just curious!

Found this in the kitchen while house sitting for some people I know. It was in a drawer that also had cooking utensils, kitchen shears, and some other miscellaneous things.
There is a sliding black button on the side. In pictures 3-4 I show what it looks like when the button is down vs. up.
The black bar is a magnet strip for sticking it to the fridge or stove mayhaps.
Any ideas??

What is this for? Found in a box of donated kitchen utensils for our youth camping group. Banana (very long one of unusual size) for scale.
Yellow curved handle, shiny metal tool end with 5 holes on the end with an opener on the back end of the tool part.
Any ideas?

Found this in my driveway, and hoping it didn't come off of one of the cars. It's a strip of metal wound up into some sort of spring? I can't unroll it, and it doesn't appear to have any stamps or writing. Possible cars would be '97 miata or '16 subaru crosstrek. I assume off of a car due to where I found it, but it could also be from gardening equipment, or a mysterious third thing. Any ideas?

Hi everyone! I found this interesting piece on the beach in the Tomük area (near Mersin, Turkey) on the Mediterranean coast.
It feels like a thick piece of ceramic or pottery with a distinctive raised, embossed pattern and some remaining blue-teal glaze. The back side is smooth and slightly curved, with what looks like a tiny drilled hole (or perhaps a natural erosion mark).
I've included a standard lighter in the first photo for scale. Does anyone recognize this style of pottery, the relief pattern, or the motif? Could it be a fragment of an old vessel, an antique tile, or some modern decorative item? I would appreciate any insights on its potential origin, history, or value. Thank you!

These 6x6 posts were all erected in front of a local school. The posts have eyelets on the side which tells me they likely will have cables or something strung through them, but why? What is it for?

Thought was an extended hanger for a small closet?

Dangly thing about 18 to 20 inches wide. Suspended by cables, I think. Thank you all! It was an electric powered ferry so this makes sense. It's a charger connection.

So many of my pear tree leaves that have fallen have these things growing from the red sections on the leaves. Any ideas what it could be?

Got this at a Goodwill. Little cat statuette that's about 8 inches tall and the holes are like 1.5 inches each. I'm wondering what this guy was originally made to hold or what he could possibly be used to hold now.

Stopped at Shades Beach State Park outside Harborcreek, PA. Found this on the beach of Lake Erie. Was hard like a bone, pyramid shaped material that was about the size of a tennis ball maybe. Flipped it over with a stick, and it has these white hard circles all over it. Seems like a bony part of an animal, but I am not sure. I didn't pick it up, but it didn't seem like it weighed much. I also attached a picture of the beach. It was found on in case that might be helpful. Would love to know what this odd thing that was washed up on shore is!

Saw this cool looking cloud the other day, what is this?

I’d never seen anything like it. The tube is approximately 3 to 4 feet long and the nozzle part about 4 inches wide. I did not have a banana handy. There are two photos, and yes, I did flip the tag but did not include that photo. I’ll put it in the comments later.
EDIT: Tag photo and answer in comments

We’ve had some speculations, so far it’s been…
Fruit/Cheese cuber (like what you’d use to make cubed fruit/cheese?
Can opener?
Nail trimmers?
Nut-sheller?
It looks vintage, it was donated to us so we have no idea where it came from.
