News / Trailers / Articles Missouri gamers watch out
I seen this post from Missouri's attorney general. I have no clue what their endgame is. I agree children need to be safe but I feel this is more in the parents responsibility at some point also. Stop putting your children unwatched in front of a video game so you can do whatever. Also maybe setup and monitor the parental controls also.

Discussion / Question What game do you wish had extra lore from books or comics?
I am currently playing Starfield for the first time and, if you haven't played, three way the explain a lot of the story at first is by having you walk through a museum if you sign up to join one of the main factions as a freelancer. Since I have been playing I want even more lore or stories in that universe. what game for you makes you wish that you had more lore in a different form?

Discussion / Question What Video Game have you guys played way more than you like to admit?
I have played Pokémon Sword and Shield 8 TIMES. 1 was my first time, the other 5 was because I wanted to use the other starters on both games, then I played it as a Nuzlocke for the 7th time, and then a Casual Vanilla Run for the 8th time. And Now I will play it for a 9th Time as another Vanilla Run.

Discussion / Question I really hope ‘The God Slayer’ is still being worked on. (Last Airbender inspired.)
The devs dropped an awesome gameplay demo showcasing Last Airbender type fighting controlling the elements and then news of this game vanished like the Avatar himself. This looked to be as close as we’d get to the Avatar game we always wanted.

Discussion / Question What games are carried HARD by their music/visuals?
- Sonic Frontiers is just kind of okay, not a travesty of game design or anything, but not great. However, I think the incredible spectacle and backing music in the game's Titan battles single-handedly boosted the game's reputation and memorability by a considerable amount. Even if those aren't particularly great boss fights mechanically, they represent a return to Sonic being totally unashamed of its corny anime-ness, and that shamelessness and sincerity makes it genuinely cool again.
- Kirby's Dream Land 3 is probably on the lower end of the Kirby series gameplay-wise. It's pretty slow, and every level has a borderline mandatory sidequest, some of which are easy and some of which are needlessly obtuse or difficult. On the other hand, though, it has some of the best sprite work on the SNES, with a beautiful pastel/colored pencil style and cute, sometimes low-key music that make for a pleasant, cozy experience regardless of the actual game design.

Discussion / Question Video Game Common Sense Auditors
My coworker and I shoot the shit a lot about how our job needs a Common Sense Auditor. That every time there is something that just doesn't make any sense, you can complain to a 3rd party about it and they will review it.
After playing GoW E-Day it got me thinking that there are some issues in the game that should not exist in 2026. That humanity has been making videogames for far too long to still be making these mistakes. Im not here to critique the story or the creative choices. I want to be the guy that calls out the "Did they even think this thru"
Checkpoints BEFORE unskippable cutscenes or walk and talk segments.
If you play as a standard human character and you are surrounded by allied standard human characters. Enemy NPCs should not run past your allies and target you explicitly just because you are the player.
Removing simple, non game changing features from previous games just because "?"
Retconning canon and ignoring all common sense purely because you want a "origin of that random item story"
If the Host is playing on Hard. And random players can join and set their own difficulty to easy. You either need to award the host player for playing on Hard or create a menu toggle that forces players that join onto the same difficulty as host.
This is a blue print after playing Gears Eday for a couple weeks. Do you think something like this could become a hit

Discussion / Question What are some examples of extreme quality whiplash - good or bad - between entries in a series?
Devil May Cry was a pretty good game for its time and pioneered the character action genre, but it is pretty dated in a lot of ways that make it kind of hard to play nowadays. The world design still holds up in my opinion though, you can tell that it used to be a Resident Evil game.
Devil May Cry 2 was an ASTONISHINGLY shitty sequel that somehow managed to have even less nuance to its combat and weapon variety than the original, with oversized, empty, meandering levels, hardly any story to speak of, and several boss fights that feel straight-up broken. I don't recommend playing it at all, even just for the "experience".
Devil May Cry 3 somehow managed to bring the series back from that dumpster fire with a game that still holds up as one of the best character action games out there. This game introduced the style system, loads of new weapon and gun varieties that can be mixed and matched for practically infinite playstyles and combo potential, the level design is back to being pretty great, and the boss fights are almost all very well-designed, especially the three Vergil encounters. And on that note, this game also has a pretty good story for a DMC game, and it was probably a very intelligent move for them to make it a prequel so they could basically rewrite Dante's character from scratch.

Discussion / Question The Saw Cleaver is given to you at the start of Bloodborne and is one of the best weapons in the game. Do any other games do this?
The trick weapon system in bloodborne is amazing, and most weapons are useful and can see you through to the end of the game, but the Saw Cleaver is notorious for being one of if not the best in the game, and it's just given to you right at the start. Can you think of any other game where the starting weapon/equipment you're given is so good there's almost no reason to change it or swap it out?
