When I was a young boy the first music genre that really grabbed me was alternative rock and grunge in the mid 90's. My brother Clay gifted me my first electric guitar (Fender Bullet) and I began teaching myself using tablature on the internet. By 8th grade (99-2000), I was obsessed with blink-182 and formed a pop punk band with my friends Chase and Nick. We named ourselves Soma after a club in San Diego where Blink played their first show. My dad used to love to encourage me to play the guitar for him and gifted me a Tom DeLonge signature Stratocaster. We played a couple birthday parties and one real gig at The White Rabbit in San Antonio.

The summer after 8th grade, my dad died from a heart attack while we were running to catch a flight in the Atlanta airport. Almost immediately I was struggling with drug addiction and depression. I pawned my guitars and stoped playing music entirely. Over the last few years I have very deliberately been trying to heal that 14 year old. I saw Turnstile open for Blink a few years ago when Tom rejoined the band and they really grabbed my attention. Then the newest album came out (along with the breathtaking visual album). I was so moved by the music and visuals and had a profound sense that 14 year old Rahm was experiencing something mind-blowing.

I had no plans of doing ACL this year, but last week | decided I wanted to go see Turnstile again for the teenage me. My friend Alicia had a free Friday pass which she generously gifted me. I had a surgical plan: go in an hour before their set, bring a camera, do it for little Rahm and leave. When I arrived to the stage I was able to walk right up about 5 people from the rail. What ensued was more than I could have ever hoped for. I moshed, I cried, l made new friends and shared vulnerably. The shirt I wore was drenched, my shoes were muddy. By the end of the show I was sobbing in gratitude for giving that Rahm this experience. I hugged myself, I hugged him, and he felt safe. This is a long journey of feeling safe enough to open my heart again.

I shot these on a Contax T3 with Portra 800 and HP5. I love y'all 🤟

For the city exclusive star shirt do they sell out pretty quick? Going to the Vegas show tomorrow after work and probably wont get there till 7 and hoping I don’t miss out on that shirt

See you freaks on Fremont tonight.

If she comes out for Ventura i will lose my shit

I have an extra seat I don’t need. DM

Anybody from previous shows got pics of merch and prices? Looking to maybe get die spitz gear

Anyone trying to meet up? I’m a guy 30, 420 friendly. Can swap pics if you’re interested. I’m gonna be in the pit thoooo

Hiiiiii! Was hoping to connect with anyone who might have videos from Turnstile ACL Wknd 2! Their videographer recorded me and they played the clip before their set and I’m trying to find a recording of it! I was too excited when I saw myself to pull my phone out haha

For reference I was wearing glasses, a black headband and a tie dye shirt! OR if anyone knows where someone might have clipped/posted the full live stream? I’d really appreciate it!

Ventura! Where are we pregaming?

This is from last year but i took my digi cam to a festival and got this banger from the back of the crowd

As a survivor of the LA dustbowl last year, I need to know.

Any girlies going alone like me? And want to meet up? :)

I’ve never been to the festival grounds before so I just want to know if it’ll be anything like the last LA show where it was a huge dust bowl? 😭 I want to be much more prepared this time around if that’s the case

Pretty self explanatory

Anybody know what the set times are for Ventura 10/14? Or at least who is on first, Die Spitz or Pennywise?

I was supposed to go to OKC show but that got postponed and I couldn't make the makeup sure. So I'm going solo dolo to this one, never been anywhere around there and was wondering if anyone going knows about ride sharing, shade, etc.

i want to go to the free show in DC and am wondering if anyone in Oregon or California is looking to go, maybe we could sort out a carpool or travel plans to make it over to DC. i’m 20 and live in Oregon but frequently spend time in Portland & the bay area in CA 🤙

Curious if anyone was interested in carpooling to Ventura? Got three open seats for those interested

Last week in marching band practice, me and a couple of pals were on the topic of turnstile or just music in general until my friend mentioned that one of the members was an alumni at our school. I believed he was bullshitting until he took me to an English teacher with a collective of yearbooks. It was the 2007 book specifically, this was the first time discovering this awesome fact. The teacher was also talking about having a hall of fame thing dedicated to him and also said how we should have them at our school for an assembly. It sounds like a really cool idea, I think it could be possible, who knows🤷🏻

This is at Factory Town. Flew down for this one then back to NY for the forest hills show.
