Personally I hated a lot of the singles when they came out. Never Enough, Seein' Stars, and Birds specifically all sounded like songs they had already done on Glow On, and I was really worried that they weren't evolving their sound at all, which has been something I've always loved about Turnstile personally.
That being said I think some of the best songs on the album are the deeper cuts. Sole, Dreaming, Light Design, are amazing songs, and the way they all flow into each other is great. Also, once I spent a few weeks listening to the album I loved how just all the songs flow into one another, it's very pleasing and made me appreciate some of the singles in a different light.
Admittedly I still can't get over how much Never Enough sounds like Mystery, and I do think the album sorta loses a bit of steam towards the end with Time is Happening, but over all I'm eating my words and this album was way better then I thought it would be and is probably as good if not better than Glow On, and a good evolution of the sound they started in that album.
Anyone else hate it but now love it? Or even love it but now hate it? lol
