Theyre gonna offer free off site parking. If you park in the surrounding area you'll possibly be towed. I wouldn't chance it.

The “festival grounds” has no parking directly near it. They have a shuttle from their lot about 15 miles away.
I opted to Uber from my hotel to the Home Depot right there and walked. End of the night, I walked to Kaiser.
There’s minimal shading and seating, plan accordingly and have a great time!

Definitely don’t park where you’re not allowed to. Including the Home Depot. They have towed a friends car there once and it wasn’t fun 😂

I did risk it once and parked at this parking lot where there’s a wingstop and ubered to the venue

NOT THE HOME DEPOT. I usually park at one of the surround industrial buildings lots, then walk from there. You can do the shuttle service to their lots, but that takes a long time to get back to your car after the show. People have waited 2+ hours just for the shuttle back to their car.

How far is the lot usually? Is it walkable?

The “official” lot they send you to is the OC Fairgrounds. Then the shuttle takes you back and forth from there. 10 minute drive, 3.7 miles

If you're parking nearby and walking, be aware that the only entrance to the venue is on W Lake Center Dr. and S Susan St. No entrance on Harbor. If you do walk up Harbor towards the venue, you will have to backtrack nearly 3/4 of a mile to get to the actual entrance.

Observatory usually posts parking info on their IG in the days leading up to the show. I saw The Story So Far there last year and they had a lot where you would park and they shuttle you to the venue

My friend works for the OC fairgrounds and it’s looking like either OCC or Santa Ana. The Japan fair is also happening at the fairgrounds so I would be prepared for that

I live in Long Beach, I've never been to a show at the festival grounds, but I've read some horror stories on Reddit about the shuttle setup and don't want to deal with it. The cost to Uber there and back is basically going to be more or less the same as booking a hotel room near the venue, splitting that four ways, and just walking over. So that is what my friends and I are doing.

What about surrounding paid parking? Which streets would they be at? I read the complex behind Del Taco. Anywhere else?

The venue will post info on parking closer to the show.
