Question Help me understand

So I’m thinking of financing the iPhone Duo with T-Mobile EIP through the Apple Store. It requires me to put a $434.79 down payment. And also trading my iPhone 17 Pro Max value up to $885. Also hopefully getting that $1000 in T-Mobile total trade-in credit.

Am I paying $1319.79 or just that $434.79 when I get that phone at the Apple Store?

Question Experience More with Appreciation Saving

Post image

Any with experience upgrading phones with Apple directly with this plan?

Does the "Experience More" discount also apply to "Experience More with Appreciation Saving" as shown on the apple site?

I am so confused. I don't have this plan yet but am eligible for it, so I am trying to decide if it is worth $16 more per month to change plan.

Question Question about upcoming BOGO, Tmobile Deals, and going 7 line to 9 line.

Hi guys.
Current plan: Go 5G plus + newer inside code from 2023, with 3paid+4free lines.

I'd like to add a line (BOGO) to transfer my line from 1-8 to 9-12 lines.

  1. I know Apple is running iphone duo, in which add new line = 800 off for me. Can i combine this with BOGO (I need to get 2 lines).
  2. Is Costco still the best place to do this BOGO? (to waive 35 and get 150 GC)
  3. If i wanna combine BOGO + no-trade-in with new line 800 deal, do i have to do this at Costco in-store rather than pre-order online?
  4. When I do BOGO, will it move me to the 9-12 lines? I've heard some rumors of Tmobile blocking this before, and with Tmobile changing plans and rules at a rate of once a month (or at least it feels like it), I wanted to get the most up to date information.
  5. Is the 9-12 line still accurate? Per the calculator from one of the legends here, i should be moving from 148 to 144. Just wanted to make sure for the same reason (Tmoblie just changing things so frequently these days).

My guess is that go5G Plus will become Magenta like now, with the new launch of this T-Mix thing, so I would like to add BOGO asap when it is actaully available.

Thank you !

Question New customer Duo order question

I’m coming from AT&T and planning to switch to T-Mobile tomorrow morning. Once preorders go live, will the Duo be available as a device option right away when signing up as a new customer?
I’m hoping to trade in my current iPhone toward the Duo and use T-Mobile’s offer to help pay off the remaining balance on my AT&T phone.
Basically, I want to know if I can open my account and place my Duo preorder immediately when preorders launch, or if there could be a delay before it becomes available to new customers.

I planned to go to Costco in person tomorrow to have a rep help with this but curious if I can avoid that all together

Question Costco / TMobile Duo Preorder. Can I prep it in advance, or do I just use their site tomorrow and create the order / trade in from scratch?

Question Why is the cell service so bad indoors?

I've had TMHI for awhile at home and never had issues, but as soon as my family switched to T-Mobile for phones I've had nothing but issues with the cell service at work and on the go. If I'm outside or at home it's fine, but as soon as I go inside any stores or other big buildings my service immediately disappears. I never had this issue with Verizon, and my office is like 3 miles from the tower.

Question Next upgrade

Hey all, it’s that time of year again where I need to start considering my yearly upgrade (I’m on Next). Family plan with 4 * 17 Pro’s and a Pro Max.

The Pros’s have previously been free upgrades in the past but now with only $1,000 credit, each pro will cost $200 and the max $300. That’s $1,100 out of pocket. Plus sales tax on the full amount we’re looking at over $1,386 for new “upgraded” phones. Plus the connection charge of $175, then the hassle of setting up a new phone and mailing in the trade-ins, hoping that TMO processes them correctly.

The other side of me thinks though that in a year’s time if we’re not on the latest phone the upgrade trade-in credit will be even less.

So I’m torn… drop some cash and upgrade to a virtually identical phone just to stay current, or hold off on the upgrade this time round and potentially loose out on trade in credit next year…

What are you Next’ers all doing this year?

Question If the Duo promo changes how does it affect “Get Ready”

So there have been a lot of people saying the promo will likely be greater than 1k when they update the promos tomorrow. Not sure why they need to wait until the day preorders start but whatever, let’s say they actually have a trade in offer in $1200 or higher tomorrow. Has this happened prior? And if so how did that impact anyone who did the Get Ready option through Apple?

We know stock will be tight and doing that step allows us to get our orders in right away when pre-orders open, but then are we locked in to the promo available when we “got ready” or will it update to the better promo if available?

I would love a higher promo but would be really annoyed if to get it I have to jump through hoops to apply a new promo to an existing order.

Question Havent been able to have my phone unlocked in weeks

I have a phone i bought at a walmart with a tmobile plan, ive had the phone for about a year ish and i want it unlocked for use with another carrier but i made the mistake of cancelling my tmobile account before doing that because i genuinely didnt know it was a thing i had to even do first.

Ive called tmobile customer swrvice at least four times and they all told me id be able to get it unlocked, all of them said "its eligible to be unlocked now" and to wait 1-3 days but its still not unlocked. One person told me to have it unlocked at the walmart i bought it from, one said to go tk an in person tmobile to get it done there, frankly they all gave me different quests to get it unlocked and none have worked. For one of the customer service folks i actually put her on the phone with the walmart wireless employee and she said "your phone isnt associated with tmobile anymore but we can still unlock it" and she said about putting in a ticket to unlockit and to wait for 1-3 business days, that time has passed and its still locked.

I already paid for the other phone plan and i want to start using that, is it even possible to get my current phone unlocked anymore ?? I dont have the money for a new phone man.

Question T-Mobile Trial Question

• Upvotes

I’m doing the T-Mobile free trial and it says unthrottled data and speed tests are fine but it looks like from speed tests on FAST it is throttled.

It does say you can change your settings to allow 4K streaming in the app or website but I don’t see anything. Is there something I’m missing?

Question Referral Code

Hi, does anyone have a referral code on their account that they could share? Not looking for the 20% sales discount, just the new 10%. I’m going into essentials 2.0 so the sales associates 20% didn’t work.

T-Mobile Tuesday $5 move ticket for Street Fighter not showing up.

This happens often. I will hear about certain Tuesday benefits elsewhere, but when I’m on the app, they don’t show. Is there somewhere I’m not looking?

Question Is it possible to get switched to older Go 5G biz plus plan and get a retention offer

Im paying $240 for four lines taxes included on biz plan that I was switched to without my knowledge from an older grandfather plan I had forever and loved. Im trying to save some money and also get access to phone promos that I don’t get now. I called in and spoke to one agent who said they couldn’t find / offer the go5g biz plus plan as it’s not offered anymore. I have seen people post on here they have had luck getting this plan still and seems like it’s the best plan right now for me.

I called in again and had a new person that was able to find it and offer it to me for $220 all in for four lines. He offered it with little hesitation - I then asked for a retention discount as it’s still too expensive and doesn’t save me much money compared to leaving for a different company but he wasn’t able to offer anything else and said he would transfer me to port out if I’d like.

I’m now waiting to chat with TFORCE and see what they are capable of doing as I’ve heard they have more flexibility. Is it better to have one agent switch me to that plan and then after I’m switched reach out again to a different again and ask for retention offer instead of trying to do it all at once? I’m not trying to be greedy just trying to get the best deal possible as I feel like many I was switched off my grandfather plan and my rates just keep going up. Prior to this I’ve never had an issue with my bill amount and have never asked for a thing from T-Mobile. Just trying like everyone to keep my bill price down and get the most for my money.

Question Experience signature?

So I’ve been with TMOBILE since they took over sprint. They made me go to experience signature. But now I’m trying to upgrade my phone. I was talking to a representative and she said for me to save with 2 phones I should switched to experience beyond? But I think I’ll be paying more.

I am trading in my iPhone 17pro max in and the credit they give was $470. But it’s one time credit which I don’t get? Would it lower how much I’ll pay a month for leasing the phone.

I don’t have to pay a Down payment.

Question Visual Voicemail No Longer Will Delete Multiple Items . . . .

After getting tired of having to delete countless voicemails from spam callers, I installed Visual Voicemail so I could delete all at once. That worked for weeks, but now no longer will work that way.

For example, there were six voicemails I wanted to delete today. I clicked the three buttons on the top right, chose delete, chose all, hit the delete trash can on the bottom, and got a message "Refresh Failed". This has been going on all week.

Thus, I have to delete one at a time. Does anyone know why that is happening and if that can be fixed?

Discussion What is Your Favorite Plan

Be curious about this with T-Mobile going through yet another Phone Plan change what in your opinion was the “best/favorite”

Personally I think I joined at the right time with Experience Beyond 1.0 reason being for me is unlimited hotspot* and it was right before 2.0 where they changed from the 24 month upgrade program to the 36 month program.

Home Internet Anyone else have issues with internet and data for certain apps?

There is apparently a network-wide issue for certain accounts where you cannot access certain websites or apps. Example zoho, proton mail, kaiser…

I called 611 and someone by the name of Conner was super helpful and got me to the right person. They included my account in the master ticket. So if anyone is having this issue, go ahead and call them.

Question Home Internet Regulatory and Programs and Telco Recovery Fee

Two questions:
I have 5 lines on my T-Mobile account. I see in the "Plan Details", that to sign up for its Home Internet Service, I will have to pay a Regulatory and Programs and Telco Recovery Fee totaling up to $2.60 per line." That would be another $13.00 per month. Am I reading this correctly?
2nd Question: It also says that "federal and local surcharges apply." Any idea how much that would be?
