Rant Why haven't T-mobile released iphone duo promotion yet???

It is literally less than 24 hrs from pre order yet they still haven't released promotion.
I get that under magenta pulse it is 1000 off but give me official promotion so that I can leave for atnt or verizon.

I am almost certain this whole fking Tmix shit is causing this delay or worse promo than other carrier.

Discussion iPhone Duo Pre-Order Tips

With the iPhone Duo preorders going live tomorrow, I want to make sure I'm fully prepared. Does anyone have any tips or a checklist for the best way to secure one right when they drop? Should I be using the app or the website, and is there anything I can do ahead of time to speed up checkout? I will also want to connect my Costco to get the fees waived as I am upgrading 2 lines.

Good luck to everyone trying to get one!

Discussion T-mobile bungles delivery and then cancels phone order

After hours of navigating dead-end chat sessions and iOS app glitches, I upgraded my phone to an 18 Pro, paid for same-day delivery, and selected the 3 to 5 pm delivery slot. At 4:45, when I still hadn't seen any signs of order fulfillment, I contacted customer support at 611.

The customer support human was the first remotely helpful entity with whom I interacted, but they confirmed that the phone had not been picked up and they weren't able to make the situation better. Ultimately, the only solution was that Tmobile canceled the order altogether. I'm supposed to order the phone again tomorrow and, if I'm lucky, they might be able to deliver it between 4 and 6 pm tomorrow. (By that time, the IT administrator who can get me reconnected to MFA will have left for the weekend.)

I'm just so deeply appalled by the horrific customer service offered by t-mobile. I'm not an anti-AI person, but there should always be a pathway to immediately escalate to a human, and they've basically eliminated that option from the app.

I always forget how much I hate interacting with this company. I've got one of the plans which allows me to upgrade my phone every year, but I drag my feet because they've made it such a miserable experience.

Thanks for listening to my rant.

Discussion Business Care rep located grandfathered Go5G Business Plus (TI) for $220 flat, but stonewalled on discounts. Can T-Force do better?

• Upvotes

Looking for advice from anyone who has worked retention recently. What’s the best way to get a retention deal?

Current Account: 4 paid voice lines on Business Advantage (TI) at $240/mo. Was moved from an older grandfathered plan.

The Goal: Lower monthly overhead while keeping Taxes & Fees Included and gaining top-tier flagship trade-in eligibility ($800–$1,000) for upcoming device upgrades.

What Happened:

I called Business Loyalty/Cancellations tonight. The second rep I spoke to actually found the grandfathered 1–5 line Tax-Inclusive Go5G Business Plus code (Business Unlimited Ultimate TI) and confirmed he could move all 4 lines over for $220/month flat out-the-door with AutoPay.

The Catch:
At $220, it barely lowers my $240 bill. When I pushed for an Existing Customer retention (citing competing offers from AT&T and Verizon Business) He claimed $220 with full device trade-ins was already a great deal and offered to transfer me to generate port-out PINs. I declined, so my account remains untouched as of now.

Questions:
1. What are the realistic odds T-Force on X (@TMobileHelp) can attach an existing-customer retention discount to this grandfathered code?

  1. If the discount is a hard "no," can T-Force reliably stack a recurring $20/mo bill credit to get me to $200 flat out-the-door?

  2. Or worst case should I just lock in the $220 flat Go5G Business Plus rate as-is to secure the full $800–$1,000 phone trade-in tiers without losing tax-inclusive billing?

Not sure if I would do any better with ditching the biz lines and go over to a consumer plan?

Question Help me understand

So I’m thinking of financing the iPhone Duo with T-Mobile EIP through the Apple Store. It requires me to put a $434.79 down payment. And also trading my iPhone 17 Pro Max value up to $885. Also hopefully getting that $1000 in T-Mobile total trade-in credit.

Am I paying $1319.79 or just that $434.79 when I get that phone at the Apple Store?

Deal Alert Up to $1,300 off iPhone Duo Starting Tomorrow?

I just called T-Mobile at 611 to ask about promotions, and they pulled up my account. I’m on the 5G Next plan as a first responder, and they said a trade-in with my iPhone 17 Pro Max would bring $1300 off; they plan to call me back tomorrow because the promotion begins at pre-order start. The promo code is 7576. Does this seem legitimate, or am I being given the runaround? I haven’t seen this anywhere else.

Question Why is the cell service so bad indoors?

I've had TMHI for awhile at home and never had issues, but as soon as my family switched to T-Mobile for phones I've had nothing but issues with the cell service at work and on the go. If I'm outside or at home it's fine, but as soon as I go inside any stores or other big buildings my service immediately disappears. I never had this issue with Verizon, and my office is like 3 miles from the tower.

Question Switching from AT&T to T-Mobile.

Anyone got a discount for switching? Or do they offer one for certain employers like att? Porting over 2 lines. Also what is the cheapest phone I can trade in for the promo credit for the Duo? 16e through Walmart? Figured I’d rather sell my 17 pro after unlocking instead of trading that in. The $800 payoff still applies too yeah? If I get on the most expensive plan can I upgrade next year too?

Rant T-Mobile charging military plans more?

My family switched to the military plan a few years cause the promotions they offered over base plans was so much better.

Just got off the phone with a T-Mobile rep and the latest upgrade promotion (the one that was only offered to military accounts years before) is now only available to standard accounts and military plans get far less for an upgrade.

Wild of a company to disrespect veterans like that.

Edit: I love how so many bad faith people are framing me as expecting some crazy discount and being entitled. When my biggest gripe is that a company that made us jump through hoops years ago to prove military status and swap the account holder is even honoring the original agreement (posted screenshot in comments)

Last edit: Upon talking to the 3rd agent and showing them the original agreement, they finally honored it. I would like to thank all the keyboard warriors for coming to the aid of a big corp to try and screw every customer over. I would never side with a corporation trying to screw anyone over no matter who they are but clearly on reddit it’s much cooler cheer on the billionaires screwing over the little guys as long as the little guy is a veteran.

Question Next upgrade

Hey all, it’s that time of year again where I need to start considering my yearly upgrade (I’m on Next). Family plan with 4 * 17 Pro’s and a Pro Max.

The Pros’s have previously been free upgrades in the past but now with only $1,000 credit, each pro will cost $200 and the max $300. That’s $1,100 out of pocket. Plus sales tax on the full amount we’re looking at over $1,386 for new “upgraded” phones. Plus the connection charge of $175, then the hassle of setting up a new phone and mailing in the trade-ins, hoping that TMO processes them correctly.

The other side of me thinks though that in a year’s time if we’re not on the latest phone the upgrade trade-in credit will be even less.

So I’m torn… drop some cash and upgrade to a virtually identical phone just to stay current, or hold off on the upgrade this time round and potentially loose out on trade in credit next year…

What are you Next’ers all doing this year?

24hr extension and payment in full vs. Service interruption, discount over 50% and since I can’t be with cell coverage for the day loss of a customer because I will be forced to go back to my prior carrier. Is it profit or happy customers that turn you off?

Discussion What is Your Favorite Plan

Be curious about this with T-Mobile going through yet another Phone Plan change what in your opinion was the “best/favorite”

Personally I think I joined at the right time with Experience Beyond 1.0 reason being for me is unlimited hotspot* and it was right before 2.0 where they changed from the 24 month upgrade program to the 36 month program.

PSA Actual Info on iPhone Duo Deal

I just got off the phone with a T-Mobile rep and this is what she told me.

We currently have 3 lines on Essentials. I am trading in my iPhone 13 Mini for the Duo.

If we upgrade to Experience Beyond, it would get $1000/off the Duo.

If we upgrade to Experience More, $830/off.

If we stay on Essentials, it would be $630/off, but she "talked to a manager" and got me the $830/off instead (because we have been customers for 20 years.)

I was told that I needed to do the pre-order in the T-Life app in order for this to work.

We are also apparently getting $630 off for trading in my mom's iPhone 13 for a 17e.

Question Going through the "Pre-Save" iPhone Duo on Apple.com, but plan isn't eligible for promo

So I tried searching the subreddit, couldn't find an exact thread. I do read of previous issues of Apple site not being able to sync on certain specialized plans.

Has anyone tried to pre-save their iPhone Duo on Apple.com that has the Better Value Plan? I just tried to pre-save my orders and Apple states that the current phone plan I have right now (Better Value Plan) is not eligible for any promos (i.e. $1000 Bill Credits).

Is this something that I just ignore and proceed with placing the order in hopes that the T-Mobile bill credits magically appear? OR is this something where I'm SOL and I can't order from the Apple Site. I'm ordering from Apple for better leverage my "trade ins".

Question Havent been able to have my phone unlocked in weeks

I have a phone i bought at a walmart with a tmobile plan, ive had the phone for about a year ish and i want it unlocked for use with another carrier but i made the mistake of cancelling my tmobile account before doing that because i genuinely didnt know it was a thing i had to even do first.

Ive called tmobile customer swrvice at least four times and they all told me id be able to get it unlocked, all of them said "its eligible to be unlocked now" and to wait 1-3 days but its still not unlocked. One person told me to have it unlocked at the walmart i bought it from, one said to go tk an in person tmobile to get it done there, frankly they all gave me different quests to get it unlocked and none have worked. For one of the customer service folks i actually put her on the phone with the walmart wireless employee and she said "your phone isnt associated with tmobile anymore but we can still unlock it" and she said about putting in a ticket to unlockit and to wait for 1-3 business days, that time has passed and its still locked.

I already paid for the other phone plan and i want to start using that, is it even possible to get my current phone unlocked anymore ?? I dont have the money for a new phone man.

Question How to tell how much high speed data remains on international data pass?

When I purchase an international data pass, I get a certain time period and amount of data, and it tells me that when I use all that data I'll go back to slow roaming. But, how can I tell how much of that high speed data I have used, and how much remains? Not by asking my two T-mobile devices how much they think they've used, which is inaccurate, and adding that up then subtracting - which is a pain - but a way to get the real number from T-Mobile that reflects exactly how much high speed data they believe I have remaining on the pass.

Question New user, iPhone duo preorder question (online vs store)

• Upvotes

So I see everyone says to the preorder online tomorrow at launch. But I’m due for an upgrade and will trade in my phone. Is it still possible to do it online or will I have to go in store?
