I’m currently on Go5G Plus with an iPhone 17 Pro Max that I’m still financing with monthly promotional credits. I’m interested in getting the new iPhone Duo and wondering what my options are.

A few questions:

1. Are there any current upgrade promotions for existing customers? Ideally, I’d like to avoid paying off my 17 Pro Max early and losing promotional credits.

2. My mom is on the same family plan with an iPhone 16. Could I use an upgrade offer on her line, give her my 17 Pro Max, and keep the Duo for myself?

3. Alternatively, could I buy the Duo outright, keep my 17 Pro Max, and use Apple’s new iPhone Handoff feature for $5/month through T-Mobile?

Just trying to figure out the most cost-effective way to get the Duo without unnecessarily losing existing credits. Appreciate any insight!

Anyone know what time will T-Mobile be taking in person preorders with the new deal?

After getting tired of having to delete countless voicemails from spam callers, I installed Visual Voicemail so I could delete all at once. That worked for weeks, but now no longer will work that way.

For example, there were six voicemails I wanted to delete today. I clicked the three buttons on the top right, chose delete, chose all, hit the delete trash can on the bottom, and got a message "Refresh Failed". This has been going on all week.

Thus, I have to delete one at a time. Does anyone know why that is happening and if that can be fixed?

My family switched to the military plan a few years cause the promotions they offered over base plans was so much better.

Just got off the phone with a T-Mobile rep and the latest upgrade promotion (the one that was only offered to military accounts years before) is now only available to standard accounts and military plans get far less for an upgrade.

Wild of a company to disrespect veterans like that.

Edit: I love how so many bad faith people are framing me as expecting some crazy discount and being entitled. When my biggest gripe is that a company that made us jump through hoops years ago to prove military status and swap the account holder is even honoring the original agreement (posted screenshot in comments)

Last edit: Upon talking to the 3rd agent and showing them the original agreement, they finally honored it. I would like to thank all the keyboard warriors for coming to the aid of a big corp to try and screw every customer over. I would never side with a corporation trying to screw anyone over no matter who they are but clearly on reddit it’s much cooler cheer on the billionaires screwing over the little guys as long as the little guy is a veteran who you think is being entitled.

Any idea why I get this? I added a mini blizzard and a drink over $1

We're a family of 5 currently on AT&T (not through Costco), paying about $75 per line. Each of us has an iPhone 17 Pro or Pro Max. If we leave AT&T, we'd each owe roughly $765 to pay off our phones.
If we switch to T-Mobile through Costco on the Experience Beyond plan, would T-Mobile give us both:
Up to $800 per line to cover our AT&T device balances (Keep & Switch), and
$1,000 with trade-in or $1,200 without trade-in toward new phones, using our current 17 Pros?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

After hours of navigating dead-end chat sessions and iOS app glitches, I upgraded my phone to an 18 Pro, paid for same-day delivery, and selected the 3 to 5 pm delivery slot. At 4:45, when I still hadn't seen any signs of order fulfillment, I contacted customer support at 611.

The customer support human was the first remotely helpful entity with whom I interacted, but they confirmed that the phone had not been picked up and they weren't able to make the situation better. Ultimately, the only solution was that Tmobile canceled the order altogether. I'm supposed to order the phone again tomorrow and, if I'm lucky, they might be able to deliver it between 4 and 6 pm tomorrow. (By that time, the IT administrator who can get me reconnected to MFA will have left for the weekend.)

I'm just so deeply appalled by the horrific customer service offered by t-mobile. I'm not an anti-AI person, but there should always be a pathway to immediately escalate to a human, and they've basically eliminated that option from the app.

I always forget how much I hate interacting with this company. I've got one of the plans which allows me to upgrade my phone every year, but I drag my feet because they've made it such a miserable experience.

I just called T-Mobile at 611 to ask about promotions, and they pulled up my account. I’m on the 5G Next plan as a first responder, and they said a trade-in with my iPhone 17 Pro Max would bring $1300 off; they plan to call me back tomorrow because the promotion begins at pre-order start. The promo code is 7576. Does this seem legitimate, or am I being given the runaround? I haven’t seen this anywhere else.

Be curious about this with T-Mobile going through yet another Phone Plan change what in your opinion was the “best/favorite”

Personally I think I joined at the right time with Experience Beyond 1.0 reason being for me is unlimited hotspot* and it was right before 2.0 where they changed from the 24 month upgrade program to the 36 month program.

So there have been a lot of people saying the promo will likely be greater than 1k when they update the promos tomorrow. Not sure why they need to wait until the day preorders start but whatever, let’s say they actually have a trade in offer in $1200 or higher tomorrow. Has this happened prior? And if so how did that impact anyone who did the Get Ready option through Apple?

We know stock will be tight and doing that step allows us to get our orders in right away when pre-orders open, but then are we locked in to the promo available when we “got ready” or will it update to the better promo if available?

I would love a higher promo but would be really annoyed if to get it I have to jump through hoops to apply a new promo to an existing order.

There is apparently a network-wide issue for certain accounts where you cannot access certain websites or apps. Example zoho, proton mail, kaiser…

I called 611 and someone by the name of Conner was super helpful and got me to the right person. They included my account in the master ticket. So if anyone is having this issue, go ahead and call them.

Any with experience upgrading phones with Apple directly with this plan?

Does the "Experience More" discount also apply to "Experience More with Appreciation Saving" as shown on the apple site?

I am so confused. I don't have this plan yet but am eligible for it, so I am trying to decide if it is worth $16 more per month to change plan.

I just got off the phone with a T-Mobile rep and this is what she told me.

We currently have 3 lines on Essentials. I am trading in my iPhone 13 Mini for the Duo.

If we upgrade to Experience Beyond, it would get $1000/off the Duo.

If we upgrade to Experience More, $830/off.

If we stay on Essentials, it would be $630/off, but she "talked to a manager" and got me the $830/off instead (because we have been customers for 20 years.)

I was told that I needed to do the pre-order in the T-Life app in order for this to work.

We are also apparently getting $630 off for trading in my mom's iPhone 13 for a 17e.

I’ll be going into a store tomorrow to pay the 450$

Or will it be delivery only to the address I input?

So last year, I was going to get off of my mom’s plan on Verizon so I called around to different phone companies to get quotes.
well, I called T-Mobile to get a quote and they told me I had to fill out a form so they can get me a personalized quote.

I filled out the form while I was on the phone with them and I asked them multiple times “This is just for a quote?” and they told me yes. They told me that they can give me a plan for $90 a month. I was considering this and told him I need to call them back for a confirmation. They told me that if I paid $10 they can keep that quote for me if I decided to go through with them and I can get a refund if not.

I didn’t call back t-mobile within that week cause I had started a new job and was more focused on that. I then noticed I had a charge on my card for $90 (It was the same card they used to charge the $10 to hold the quote) and called t-mobile spoke to an agent and explained the quote and i wasn’t going to actually move forward with them anymore. The agent told me that he closed the account for me and refunded me the $90.

Well that wasn’t the case at all because fast forward to now, the account has been opened and they had been billing the account for about 3-4 months and I just found out when it went to collections….mind you I never left verizon, had no phone number with t-mobile or a device with them at all.

So now I have a balance with who was first diversified adjustments. I called them every two weeks because I submitted claims for dispute and they kept telling me to call back for more info and never got anywhere.

Now sequium is holding the debt and told me i need a police report in order to move forward?? Has anyone dealt with this before? I’ve called t-mobile to process the dispute and they told me the same thing about getting a police report.

It is literally less than 24 hrs from pre order yet they still haven't released promotion.
I get that under magenta pulse it is 1000 off but give me official promotion so that I can leave for atnt or verizon.

I am almost certain this whole fking Tmix shit is causing this delay or worse promo than other carrier.

Anyone got a discount for switching? Or do they offer one for certain employers like att? Porting over 2 lines. Also what is the cheapest phone I can trade in for the promo credit for the Duo? 16e through Walmart? Figured I’d rather sell my 17 pro after unlocking instead of trading that in. The $800 payoff still applies too yeah? If I get on the most expensive plan can I upgrade next year too?

What phones get you the max trade in $1000 towards the duo? Is it the same as the current pro deal, what does Magenta Pulse say? I’m looking for the full terms.

Since T-Mobile completely shut down its physical 2G network in August, my throttled speed is no longer riding on actual 2G cell tower equipment.

Instead, the network is now software throttling down to a maximum speed of 128 kbps once I cross the high-speed data limit.

The 2G network was useable. The 128kbps throttle speeds however, are like not having data at all.

Any solution to this?
