I have a theory that Ellora stands on what was once known as the great divide. Perhaps it’s still known.

The Earth kingdom continent still exists though of course geography in this world has changed dramatically.

Abrams messed something up and sent me my Aang movie novelization a month early. No clue why. But I’m not complaining.

I was rewatching the movie and also seen the deleted drafts for his fight against The Gaang (brutal btw) and im genuinely curious HOW was he so strong? I get he's an old Airbender but this guy was doing some bs stuff. From how strong he was breaking through Katara's ice, to how fast he was. Especially how he killed them. Both the deleted draft and the movie he's using... air? He's makes an air shot thing like a Mankankosappo, fires it, and it actually kills them? How?

People seem to have this misconception that when a avatar dies, the next one is chosen by Raava or something like that, but thats not really how it works ("Yue would have been the avatar if Aang hadnt been frozen" theory and others like it). Wan would reincarnate into Aang, Korra, Pavi or Nisha (yet to be see how these ones will pan out) no matter what. People in this world reincarnate by default. Raava says "We will stay together in all of your lifetimes", the only thing special to the avatar about reincarnation is that they have the ability to speak with their past selfs via Raava so it can be very easily tracked

He spent three seasons as the Gaang’s and everyone else unpaid Uber driver. Free rides, unlimited stops, and not a single five star review for Appa.
Instead they had the audacity to complain about Appa not flying faster 😭

1. Amon

Mastered psychic bloodbending at 14. He was self-taught in removing people's bending. We also know he was a proficient regular waterbender too and he could fight and beat most people with chi blocking alone. He tanked a lightning strike at extremely close range and never lost a fight. The closest fight he lost was a 2v1 with Korra & Mako where after she got 1 hit on him he left the fight due to his secret being revealed rather than being unable to continue fighting - the other 2 however appeared fatigued. His brother Tarrlock who is also a prodigy didn't look like one in comparison to him. His bloodbending surpassed his own father's too.

1. Yun

His bending was so good he was thought to be the avatar and he took on an extremely powerful spirit to a draw. We only ever see avatars using the avatar state managing to fight spirits this well and even when they do they have a habit of needing help. He was revolutionising earthbending to mimic other elements. All self-taught.

1. Aang

The only character to showcase super speed. Battle both powerful benders and spirits while coming out on top. Was fighting other prodigies like Azula continuously while at a disadvantage while being younger than her too and still achieving draws. The youngest airbending master until Jinora - who let's face it became master after continuously complaining to her dad to be given the title.

[This is specific to Aang's airbending. His other elements would push him higher because he learnt seismic sense & lightning redirection so fast - but I'm ignoring those.]

1. Katara

You can argue she could be above Aang. She didn't have access to a teacher nor any benders at all until she was 14. Then after she finally did, in a span of less than a year - she caught up to both Azula & Toph both of which are prodigies too. She learnt bloodbending and healing instantly.

1. Toph

Although she was taught by the badger moles she had to bend in secret and that makes it harder for her. She managed to create metalbending and knew seismic sense very young. She is also 12 while Azula is 14.

1. Azula

Azula is incredible managing to do lightning bending so easily before it became common. Then later in the comics she can redirect lightning too. But she had access to the best firebending trainers her entire life. Yet Katara in a span of less than a year caught up and Toph at 12 was at a similar level.

1. Zaheer

Beat a bunch of white lotus members as soon as he got his bending. Defeated Kya & Tonraq after having bending only like a month too. Obviously not as good as the others on the list but the speed he achieved his skills is the most impressive.

I think the animation is fantastic in this scene and really shows what it can do. I agree, some shots are not that good but theres so many moments animated like this that make me love it overall.

Spoilers for the first 3 episodes of Seven Havens, plus a bit of ATLA Book 2 and Korra.

For anyone who hasn't watched yet, here's the setup: Seven Havens is set 225 years after Korra, after a world-ending Cataclysm that everyone blames on the Avatar. Humanity now lives in seven fortified havens, each one tied to a chakra colour (yes, the same seven chakras Pathik taught Aang about in Book 2). Ellora is the only haven we've actually seen so far, but the opening shows all seven glowing on a globe, and fans have matched those glows to places from the original map.

Disclaimer: the locations are fan-derived (the globe supports them, but nothing is confirmed outside Ellora). The names are 100% my guesses. Ellora is named after a real heritage site, so I used real heritage sites that fit each theme. Could be way off.

1. Ellora (Earth / red) - canon
The haven of wind and sand, in the slot canyons, run by a Chancellor and a council of six. Earth chakra = survival, blocked by fear. The whole city is so scared the Avatar will come back that nobody really lives. "For the survival of Ellora" hits different once you know that.

2. Muziris (Water / orange) - Chameleon Bay
Sheltered bay, mountains all around, short bison flight from the Eastern Air Temple. I'm guessing a seafaring trade haven (Muziris was an ancient spice port). Water = pleasure, blocked by guilt, so maybe a fun, indulgent culture with survivor's guilt underneath.

3. Konark (Fire / yellow) - Ba Sing Se
Named after the Sun Temple. If the walls survived, it's probably the biggest, most fortified haven. Fire = willpower, blocked by shame. Ba Sing Se has a long history of covering stuff up, so I'm expecting a rigid society with Dai Li-style secret police.

4. Sanchi (Air / green) - Zaofu
Zaofu was shown burning in the teaser, so this would be a rebuilt haven on the same mountain-ringed site. Air = love, blocked by grief. I'm picturing tight-knit families and memorials everywhere, maybe Beifong descendants. Compassionate, but stuck mourning.

5. Hampi (Sound / blue) - General Fong's Fortress
Hampi's ruins have the famous musical pillars, which fits sound. Military stronghold on the west coast. Sound = truth, blocked by lies. I'd guess a closed, propaganda-heavy haven that controls what its people know, and probably the one that twists Avatar history the most.

6. Sigiriya (Light / indigo) - Fire Nation Capital
Sigiriya is a rock fortress on an island, and the old capital sits in a crater across the ocean from the mainland. Probably the most isolated haven. Light = insight, blocked by illusion, and the Fire Nation has a long record of propaganda. Wouldn't shock me if they don't know the other havens exist.

7. Sahasra (Thought / violet) - Republic City
The name comes from the crown chakra (Sahasrara). The trailer beams over Republic City are violet, and it looks like ground zero for the Cataclysm. Thought = cosmic energy, blocked by earthly attachment. I'm picturing a haven obsessed with its own past that refuses to move on. Least confident pick, but I think it holds the biggest secret.

Why I think this works: the energy spirit that hits Ellora in EP2 might be the Earth Chakra itself. It's red, it rose from the foundation, and it spreads fear. If so, each haven probably has its own blocked chakra and the twins have to fix them one at a time, probably in chakra order. Book 1 is fear, and every haven after that gets its own flaw arc.

TL;DR: Seven havens = seven chakras, and each haven's culture probably reflects its chakra's blockage. Locations are fan-derived, names are mine, tell me where I'm wrong.

Which haven are you most excited to see? And does anyone read the globe differently?

I watched Seven Havens and then I rewatched the Avatar Aang movie and it felt like watching ancient history. The avatar universe doesn’t look like that anymore and all those customs are gone and lost. Even if you watch LOK, so much of what happened season 3 of ATLA is gone and evolved. Watching the Avatar Aang movie felt like watching an old video of your parents when they were young or photographs of your grandparents. It made me feel old and sad cuz Aang and everyone is long long gone and dead. Even my beloved Bolin, Opal, Jinora, and Kai are all gone. Like it’s all just lost and forgotten. Idk I just needed to rant about this.
