I can’t believe I forgot about a 2 TB Samsung 970 SSD that was in an enclosure just sitting in my desk doing nothing for the last 3 years. What a great find lol.

I cloned this drive onto a Samsung 980. And just forgot to use my current gaming PC has the 980 plus a 1 TB games drive. So I’m currently very comfortable. Trying to figure out what to.

Definitely never ever getting rid of any PC parts moving forward. Go check your parts bin for any hidden treasure!

So a few years back, in 2023, i built this PC in camp, and have just realized that i may have gotten scammed. the specs are rtx 3090, ryzen 7 7800x3d, 32 gigs of ddr5, msi b650 plus wifi, and an 850 watt psu. all inside of an AURA CG2 case. i spent $2000 on the course including all fees. Please help! i just want to know if i had gotten a good deal back then of if i had gotten scammed.

edit: i am not using an AIO, just a simple copper heatsink

looking to buy this PC from newegg and am wondering if it's any good

Look how happy this boy watching some youtube content….wait a minute

Hello,

A friend of mine wants a pc to play modded Minecraft. We were wondering if its better to buy a small prebuild like the GMKtec NucBox M5S Mini PC AMD Ryzen 3 5400U (4C/8T up to 4GHz) 16GB + 256GB

OR

Build a custom pc. If building a custom pc is the better option, what parts should we buy? She isn't really much of a gamer and will mostly play light games.

Essentially would it be more bang for buck to buy a prebuild for modded Minecraft or build a custom pc.

Thank you all for your help.

so im not sure how to find out what the laptop is but its a hp laptop i bought at the start of 2024. i havent used it since the end of last year, and its just been sitting in a case undisturbed. i need the laptop for next year, but was misplaced the charger that came with it so i bought a new one, it and the laptop are both 19.5V so i think thats fine? the charging cable fits in fine and it looks the exact same as the old one. however the orange charging light isnt appearing, and instead when i press the power button, it flashes a white light 3 times and thats it. if ive done something stupid please let me know thanks :D

my pc has decent specs ig

Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz (3.19 GHz)

RAM - 16.0 GB
GPU - AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT

but i cant play valorant bcoz of vanguard says i need to turn on UEFI and IOMMU which i did in my bios but as i save my changes in the bios and when it starts to bootup it only shows black screen

any tips as how to fix this?

Even though I disabled the service for updates on my PC it still forced updates on me. I'm especially pissed off about the shitty LG update which probably contains more malicious bullshit to spy on me from my LG OLED monitor. Is there nothing I can do about this?

It's gotten so bad they don't even put display hardware just a jpeg

This sound coming from my laptop while playing Valorant at night made me anxious. The sound is not coming through my headphones, but directly from the internal speaker itself. This sound, which sometimes occurs repeatedly and sometimes randomly, felt very absurd to me. Nothing else is open in the background besides the game. It is the first time in my life I am experiencing something like this. What is the cause of this irregular sound? It felt like a very "troll" sound to me. I am considering not turning on the PC until someone explains what it is. Please help.

Apparently they plan to focus on enterprise and AI products so the top card next gen will be the 6080, at most there would be a 6080ti.

If true, what do you think?

Title basically, i have been tracking second hand market for 2 months now, i just missed a 5070ti deal for $700. I was wondering if its smart to just buy a new one with a massive amount of installments because they give %0 APR?

It’s $1500 btw, a 5070ti

Definitely beats the laundry room setup by a mile lol 🤣

Apparently she (14) plays shooters on PS5 but wants a computer. He's been in town doing landscaping for us while his newborn is in the NICU, so in addition to what we're paying him we're gifting him this. It's a mostly spare-parts build and it does play Arc Raiders at 1080P medium native with TAAU over 60fps, so I know it's somewhat capable. I don't know what the kids play though. I told him this will show if she would even use a PC but doesn't have a lot of storage. Showed him how to add an NVMe or SATA SSD if needed.

Ryzen 5 5500
16GB Goldkey DDR4 3200 CL22
GTX 1080 8GB OEM
Patriot 256GB PCIe 3.0
MSI A520 mATX
MSI A650BN 80+ Bronze
Zalman Cubix G mATX case with fixed RGB rainbow puke
Uphere dual tower, dual 120mm CPU cooler
Linksys Wifi AC usb dongle

One interesting thing, 24C mins, 58C max in coretemp. That's the lowest I've seen on an AM4 chip. This case doesn't even have good airflow but the GPU is a blower type and the cooler is right up to the rear exhaust. I changed the front top exhaust to an intake.

What do the kids play that this wouldn't do?

Also any lefties with good suggestions welcome!

Anyone got any good recs for a combo blower/vacuum device?

Still bought it asap, had to check to see if it was wrokg item in the wrong spot lol couldn't figure out why it was so cheap. Would've rather found a prebuilt for 50% off tho

I have A Opi1 8k V2, A Razer Huntsman TE, A 1080p, 240hz, 23.8 inch Monitor IPS, and A Razer BlackShark V2 Pro.

This is absolutely ridiculous and totally mind boggling. I can't believe this is real.

I literally captured this a few minutes ago. There are issues sure, but I'm running this game at 120FPS at 1440p and even using my mouse and keyboard.

Absolutely wild times we are living in.

Shoutout to Supermedo's for posting his repo on github. I don't know if I can post a link to the repo here.

Need to buy a desktop for my Engineering 3D Graphics class, but I also want to play Dark Souls and some other open-world games on it. Is this a good buy? If not, any recommendations? Trying to stay under $2k.
