go to your room People not giving room on the sidewalk
Nothing irks me more than when a pair of people are walking toward you on the sidewalk…and neither of them refuse to move into a single line so that you also have room on the sidewalk to exist. The expectation that they get to stay in a pair and force the other person to walk into the street or on the grass is absolutely self absorbed and nothing irks me more.

frist of all how DARE yu o There was an old lizard who lived in my shoe.
Dang near filled my drawers with poo.
(I was in my bedroom getting my shoes up ready for yard work tomorrow.)
As I was putting my prescription inserts intoo them from my nicer shoes, this little freeloader popped its head out, as if it paid bills.
I threw my shoe, it landed on the floor, and it's just standing there, like "What are you lookin' at?"
Now it's hiding somewhere in my bedroom.
I gotta get up for 6:15AM tomorrow, knowing I'm not the only one in this room.

frist of all how DARE yu o people who say “you look tired”
Got in my uber today. Nice enough guy. 10 mins in silence he looks at me in the rear view mirror and says “you look tired.” Mind you, my hair is done, my make up is done, I’m fully dressed - AND I got nearly 9 hours of sleep last night. You might as well just tell me I look ugly.
Do people who say this get turned on by being an asshole or are they just part of the population with the lowest EQ imaginable? (No, this is not the first time someone has told me this while feeling 100% fine)

I'm slightly vexed anyone else peeved when someone motions for you to go at a stop sign when it's your turn to go anyway???
I don't know why but something about pulling up to a stop sign before someone and then them motioning for me to go first, like i'm not supposed to go first anyway, really gets to me. Honestly the opposite pisses me off too it's like when people pull up to a stop sign their brains turn off and they forget how to human.

The floor is sticky My back windshield completely shattered randomly, then it rained for four days straight
Made a post a week or two ago about finding my rear windshield completely shattered one morning right before leaving for work.
Well, my boyfriend and I taped some trash bags on her later that day. Then, it rained, nonstop, for four days straight. The bags obviously failed. I had to wait a few more days after for the money to get her fixed.
To no one’s surprise, she was filled with water… and mold :’) we took her seats out and scrubbed her with dawn soap, baking soda, and a drill scrubber(I have no idea if that’ll actually work) Now she’s drying with the window’s open and tonight I’ll be looking into proper ways to make sure the mold is gone.
I’m lucky enough to have a car to borrow. But this sucks so much😭 she’s my first car and my baby. I just want her back

wet socks Maintenance Left Me a Gift
I put in a maintenance request to have my shower drain unclogged this morning. I came home from work and didn’t see a message from maintenance saying it was resolved so I ran my shower for a second and it seemed fixed. Since I was in the bathroom, I decided to change the toilet paper and throw out the bathroom trash. Except when I reached into the bag of toilet paper for a fresh roll, it was wet. Apparently maintenance got a little wild and either lost a huge chunk of my hair that was clogging the shower or thought the bag with one roll of toilet paper was a trash bag (despite there being a trashcan a foot away). ‘Twas a texture nightmare for sure.

I'm slightly vexed Performative empathy
This is something i’ve noticed on the internet in recent years. All of a sudden everyone is an “empath.” That is not a real thing. You do not have some mysterious superpower because you feel bad for people with nut allergies.
The concept of thinking you are so empathetic that you need to set boundaries within yourself to be less empathetic is so interesting to me.
People will get on the internet and say dumbass shit like “i’m so empathetic i need to work on setting boundaries with my empathy because it makes me so sad that people have nut allergies and wear glasses, they suffer so much” meanwhile they don’t vote, they know nothing about international conflict resulting in genocide, they scoff/roll their eyes/ignore the homeless, dehumanize incarcerated people and addicts, and probably weaponize therapy speak in their personal relationships.

Infuriatig The pharmacy didn’t fill my prescription because paying out-of-pocket isn’t allowed
It’s only $40, I have no idea why I’m not allowed to pay for it. I called all my other local pharmacies and none of them have inventory since it’s on manufacturer back order.
Ive never been a conspiracy theorist, but this seems like collusion to gatekeep medicine.

Those are Blueberries, right? Metal Shavings in Raw Beef?
Just bought these sirloin tip steaks from Publix and when I got home I saw this?
Is it what I think it is?
Sorry for the crappy photos
Edit: Took it back, Meat Manager insisted it was something from the packaging and couldn’t possibly be metal shavings, idk. Got a refund and some new steaks.

Ruined by Technology Filmmakers cater to doomscrollers.
I have an unlimited subscription to a movie theater, and as annoying as the cinema can be, there's one thing that's driving me crazy and it's ubiquitous:
*Over*exposition. Filmmakers are keeping phone addicts in mind by making movies that cater to people who can't just focus on one screen. It feels like watching Dora the Explorer: do YOU see the plot point? Yes! Very good! IT'S RIGHT THERE.
It leads to a lot of repetition and figurative hand holding to make sure people with the attention span of a gnat will hopefully still know what the movie's about by the end of it.
It also seems to partially reinforce people's habits of pulling out their phones in the theater. Try sitting at the very back during a busy screening. It's like seeing fireflies on a warm spring evening. I recently saw one dude pick up his phone habitually and just open Instagram, close Instagram, open Instagram again, look at his own story, close it, put the phone away. Then 5 minutes later, open Instagram, scroll for half a second, nothing new, close Instagram, open Snapchat. Like brother you're not missing anything (on either screen apparently).
It's the theatrical equivalent of No Child Left Behind.
