Hi i'm pretty new to league but really love playing lux mid! Unfortunately she gets banned in most of my games or taken by the supp and i suck at most other champs 😭 So I was wondering if there were any other characters similar to her in playstyle. I really like how she has short cooldowns and an easy to understand abilities. I also like champions with cc.

Anyone else noticing that the E cast is mostly invisible on the Pajama Guardian skin? Just the star in the center is displayed when Lux's E is flying to its cast destination or laying on the ground. I've had this visual bug in several games. Lux has always been an opponent or a teammate in those games if that matters. Just wondering if this is something specific to my experience or others have noticed.

I’m so hyped right now, I never thought I’d see the day tbh 😭 Been playing League on and off for a few years, but this is my first year ever playing ranked. I was Gold in January, made it to Plat in the spring, got demoted once all the way to Silver which was demoralizing to say the least. Then I locked in and really paid attention to fundamentals such as farming, mid/late game macro, and throwing my Q AFTER my E, instead of using it first.

I play Lux exclusively mid as I love the lane and how chaotic it is, it’s more challenging but it only adds to the fun. I had to let go of the idea where I need to be the carry every game. It’s still a challenge I am dealing with since I play a more aggressive play style and I definitely still have games I die multiple times, which is something I need to fix. But it’s been such a fun ride and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you to this sub for all the tips!

I know I have a lot to improve still, but I am happy to answer any questions.

As the title says, ive literally never played a ranged champ. Im an irelia main that just started playing her as soon as i started playing lol and id like some help with figuring out playing lux as a midlaner.

Any tips are appreciated for ranged champs, or lux, or even mid laning. Bans would be nice too while im learning

Why is my Elementalist Lux always go purple despite the different combination I try to take. I don't know if it's bugged for Mayhem as I've never tried different game modes in a while. But just a while ago, I picked green and white as my combination and I still got purple as a result, anyone know why?

So my duo partner mains Lux, if I say that I always have a Lux support, what champ should I lock into in the following scenarios ?

1. Vs ad and engage support

2. Vs double ad

3. Vs double poke

4. Vs ad and peel support

5. Vs Lucien and Nami

6. Vs double cc bruser/tank (such as singed,sion,jax,pantheon)

7. Vs veigar synergys (veigar+poppy/ziggs/viktor/sol)

8. Vs Zeri and Yumi

We usually always ban Yasuo and Nautilus.

Yasuo and Samira are unplayable for me if I play range champs, and my Lux can't deal with hook champs.

is there an elementalist lux form which is more p2w? the default form is quite p2w imo, and i was wondering if some of the other forms are more p2w

and is there an epic p2w lux skin? i dont want to use steel region lux, and i dont always want to use the dark star/elementalist lux.

Love lux since I started league in 2018. Was my first champ since tutorial. Have a secondary account to play her support/apc. Have nice skins on her cause I love her. Been playing her a lot the last 2 splits and she feels... impossible.

- Low damage, unless you are ahead or get lucky with dark harvest stacks early

- Low range relative to other champs (most champs are no longer just "mele" range)

- Slow skill shots, everyone can dodge all your spells with ease from a distance

- low AoE range skill shots, literally your R and Q miss so often to terrain its laughable

- dashes counter you

- displacements from your own team counter your combo (eg: sett's E)

- tenacity destroys you (Mercury boots, on anyone just renders you useless)

- MR renders you useless

- 0 survivability. Like literally 0, no hp no movement, your W shield is utter trash.

- Can't zone opponents, can't 1v1, relies mostly on team to do anything

- Assasins, skirmishers, fighters, tanks outright counter you, and you can't do anything to them.

- Can't be played in midlane (too many assasins) unless you are counterpicking

- Can't be played in support (her win rate is in the gutter)

- Its an OK APC, its enjoyable, but needs a duo or a reliable support (in soloQ most supports will troll you hard when you pick Lux as apc)

I mean I guess if you have Yozu level skills you are ok, but because he hits 99% of his skillshots and makes her look easy. With her I'm only in gold, and she feels terrible. Might be a skill issue, but still, it feels she can't really do much. I've honestly, don't feel like playing her anymore at all. Its just not enjoyable.

The only role I've been able to succesfully gain lp with her while having a positive win rating is as APC, and mostly when I ask my supports to go something that combines well with her. But her other roles, she is pretty bad, and even as APC she has a lot of issues. My theory is, she relies too much on team, so having an on-demand support to set up your combo is the key to success with her. Otherwise she feels very useless.

When the enemy team is super squishy with no MR, I like to go a flat pen burst build.

These are the 2 build paths with sorc shoes:

Malignance > Stormsurge > Shadowflame

Luden > Stormsurge > Shadowflame

The Malignance build has more flat pen and ult CD obviously, but Luden adds higher burst on all of my spells.

My question is, when would you use one over the other? They both have their merits, but I’m not sure how valuable more flat pen is thru Malignance
