Not much is left now, in the next update we will finish a gun, and after that the face, and then the final judge.

It was a fun and hard Kitbash Process, and they will be finished for Halloween, but at least the Kitbash is ready now is time to paint.

I think they could be tournament legal… same poses, same sides except the Vox but still having a lots of fun with them.

I hope you like it, first time kitbashing this hard.

Question Energy Cell Crit Op Questions

So I had a little back and forth with a T.O. a little bit ago as they ruled that when an Objective Marker is dropped from an incapacitated operative that was holding the Enemy Objective marker that it is the same 40mm marker that is dropped. They stated that it is a 20mm token that is dropped and said that when the operative picks up the marker it is no longer the marker and just a token.

The T.O. stated that is how they rule it. I asked if there was any rules that made them think that a marker changed when held by an operative and they just told me this is how they rule it. I realized I was not going to get anywhere and just moved on with the rest of the tournament.

Now I am still new and have only been playing for a year and this was my first tournament. Is this common? Is there some rule I am missing? I could not find anything in the Core or FAQ our Community updates that talked about things changing when you pick them up.

This also got me thinking as I was looking through stuff and with only being able to carry a single token unless otherwise, what would happen if there was a bacon planted on the energy cell marker? Or martyr tokens?

Still trying to learn the nuances of the game since most of my play has been very casual at my FLGS.

So. Had this match today. This was my first game as Scouts ever. And I guess I fought a team that could be consider my weak point. Good savings and good hits (so, just Elite team). I have almost no piercing so....

Advices on how to face this guys with my Team? Next week Im having this match up again.

First time making something like this, pretty pleased with how it turned out. It’s made of a display box I bought online, with stacked layers of cork tile and texture paste. The bases are magnetized and each slot has a small steel disc, so actually fairly secure as well!

Battle Report Scenes from The Big Game [Blades of Khane + Deathwatch vs. Angels of Death + Wrecka Krew]

A couple of photos from a big 2v2 game my group played recently. This is our first time using "Descent" rules for a 4 player game and it's the most successful "big game" we've played for sure.

We ran with official 1v1 layouts for Gallowdark and Volkus and gave both sides a local entryway marker. We found that this is a much better experience for 4 players than playing on a single double-size board, which tends to favour long-ranged units and also typically pushes the players to broadly split off into two 1v1 games with little crossover interaction. The descent rules allow for quick crossover interactions and co-operation between both teams, as you're battling on two fronts you can travel between fairly easily.

In the interest of time, we played without tac-ops. It was an incredibly close game, being won by the AoD+WK team by one point - with heavy casualities on both sides!

You could ask why Wrecka Krew and Imperial Fist marines would canonically work together - in our case, the unified appreciation of yellow armour and giant fist symbols probably explains it!

Strategy New player, asking for tips

I bought the Ratlings and Spectre Squad kt boxes but have no idea what I'm doing, I've played 2 games that were stopped partway through but those were mostly for learning the basics of the game like LoS and engage/conceal actions. Any tips play-wise for the two boxes I mentioned earlier?

Question My first tournament will be a grand tournament; how should I spend the next 2 months

I will be participating in palm springs grand tournament in January. This will be my first tournament ever so I want to make sure i prepare well. Mentally I expect to lose all my matches but I would still like to play to win.

I own just about every team. How should I decide which team to take? How should I focus my practice games leading upto the gt?

I have read other posts like mine and see a lot of bring snacks and water comments. While general tips like that are welcome I'd appreciate more tips or videos with advanced tactics explained well.

If it helps I'm leaning toward bringing vespids, xv26, wrecka krew, or raveners. I have the most reps on raveners.

Question Extra models for flavor?

Post image
195 Upvotes

I play Deathwatch, and one of my members is ex-Space Wolf and I want to field a Wolf mini alongside him, not in any sort of functional gameplay way, but just as like “his” wolf or whatever right? How annoying would it be to ask an opponent this? Obviously if it got the in anyone’s way he could be removed but like as long as he’s out of the way just “following” another model would yall have an issue with that?

Question New Player Advice

I have been genuinely wanting to get into warhammer for awhile (years honestly). The size of the game was both the interest and hesitation at first.

Then I learned about Kill Team, which is smaller and seems more up my alley of what Im willing to spend.

As someone looking to get into the hobby, I'm looking for a team that is both fun and relatively beginner friendly.

I've been looking up some information but a lot of it just somewhat goes over my head.

I don't care about meta (if thats a thing in warhammer). If it looks cool and Im able to understand it then Im all about it.

Thanks all!

EDIT: Thank you for letting me know that KT and 40k play differently, I assumed incorrectly!
