I recently started an IW army. I have 1 MKIII squad, 1 Rhino deimos, 1 Deredeo dreadnought and 1 Sicaran. For now, only the rhino & the squad is painted.

This is my first warhammer army, but I used to do some military model tanks a few years ago.

I wanted to share with you the Rhino. I'm very happy with how it turned, in particular because i had a few painting incidents that luckily turned well in the end.

I've been encouraged by my group to post here the tweaks and backporting we made to the second edition of the game, which we have chosen to play for a matter of personal taste. We use it for casual games and some light narrative stuff so it's not gonna be balanced but some c&c is welcome regardless

After quite a few evenings of building, magnetising and painting, my Forge World Sons of Horus Contemptor is finally ready to join the XVI Legion!

I wanted to give this old resin kit a more dynamic, imposing stance, so I slightly extended the waist, reposed the legs and built a ruined battlefield base with a partially buried skeleton. The torso, head and arms are all magnetised, allowing for different weapon configurations and poses.

For the painting, I experimented with blue-violet undershading beneath my usual Sons of Horus greens to add more depth and cooler shadows. I also tried to push the contrast between cold steel, warm bronze and weathered turquoise armour.

The Cthonian markings, personal heraldry and battle damage were added to give him the appearance of a veteran who's been fighting alongside the Warmaster for a very long time.

Finished with oils, grime, subtle rust effects and pigments to tie everything together.

Really enjoyed this project, even if the old Forge World resin gave me a few headaches along the way!

New models means new opportunity for a different scheme for my custodes. So far im leaning more towards Peridot Alchemy but I still got 1 last test finish off with Necro Gold.

Just finished making my first landspeeder javelin and I’m debating if I should get a second one to better support my army or should I just run one of them. Which should I do I’m just curious before I drop another 100+ dollars on one

I'm looking at kitbashing some Varagyr terminators and was just wondering if there is any rules or lore determining the mark of terminator armour? I'm personally a fan of tartaros armour and was hoping to build them with that in mind but wasn't sure since it seems cataphractii is for the best of the best.

Been getting more and more tempted to get into HH 3.0 and im leaning towards playing Primarily Skitarii Conclaves but i feel like the lack of Units that means leaves me very vulnerable and with gaps. So far it is mainly max size Skitarii, some transports and tanks and thats it. Thinking of replacing some of transports and tanks to instead have something like Ursarax Cohorts to have some Vanguard options to push into objectives to swing them but frankly im at a bit of a loss.

Is there anyone that plays a Skitarii list that has some advice or just general advice?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
