I am in healthcare and use Lysol wipes to wipe down my phone, but worry about it damaging my phone in the long term. What do you recommend doing?

I recently went on a trip with my friends. We all have iphones(16PM, 15, SE). We clicked a lot of photos and videos(close to 1500 or more😵‍💫)

Naturally, after the trip, we wanted to share those photos & videos. Since everyone had IPhones, Airdrop became common tool to share.

When I started sharing photos, anything above 500 items in a single attempt failed. Like, airdrop froze and gave error right away.
sometimes it glitched out. We had to manually batch media in group of 200 to share it.

I would love to hear what I was doing wrong? I understand the quantity of media was A LOT. But, should Airdrop not handle such cases of batching automatically or atleast fail gracefully?

Would love to hear your thoughts on your experience of sharing media using Airdrop.

Note: for smaller transfers, it works like a charm. No issues there. Also, we all had sufficient memory, so that cannot be the issue for failure.

I was texting someone and the icon that says they were typing was in this scribble style that I’ve never seen before. I went to go screen record and then it went back to normal.

Does this mean anything in particular?

It was scribbling in the dots and then erasing the previous one.

We just got new phones and our iCloud 50GB is used up between 2 people. I’m thinking of not saving photos/videos anymore. Is there other options to occasionally backup that media? Maybe something to plug into the iPhone and download them?

This is not a tech support request, it’s an unusual mystery.

Recently just upgraded from an iPhone 15 to an iPhone 18 Pro. After the initial sign-in, before the phone transferred, it said there were additional purchases registered to a different Apple ID and asked for the password. It was not one I recognized at all:

I skipped the step and transferred the phone, and it looks like all of the apps work, and I’m testing music, but I can’t find anything out of the ordinary.

However, in googling, I found this thread from five years ago in which several people (who are not me) and live in different parts of the US had the same experience with the exact same email address. This is about the only record of this email address on the Internet.

i’ve launched every app on the new phone, and everything works as expected. I’m not terribly worried, nor am I asking for tech support, everything works fine - but I am very curious… Any idea how this could happen?

I have this weird issue that when making a video and watching it in Photos, I see this weird grid all over the video. But while filming in the Camera app everything seems fine.

Does anyone have this issue as well…? I’m on iOS 27.0.1 and got this phone a week ago.

I recently downloaded the Black Spaces app and made some customizations to the appearance of my phone to make it more minimal. I didn't like the widget as the shortcuts weren't working. I decided to keep the app for the auto locking feature but i want to change my home screen back. I cannot for the life of me figure out why my dock is staying solid black. I've tried messing with the invert, glass transparency, home screen customizations. And as you can see, it never changes from solid black even when I select the clear or light theme. Please help!

Is it common for your phone to get super hot doing the same thing as a 14 pro that isn’t getting hot. It’s not stating it’s overheating but it gets to the point where it can be difficult to touch and the feeling of something hot lingers after.

I don’t know just trying to figure out if it’s worth trying to get a exchange ( I got it a few months ago) all the warranties are still active

But how would I go about changing the app icons on my phone to be something like this? I am on a iPhone 11 Pro

Edit: For anyone who’s also experiencing this problem, I found a single comment from another person referring to a solution on this.

- Set WiFi, Bluetooth & Cellular to OFF (Do this by going into settings and actually toggle them off)
- Open date & time, then change “set time automatically” to off and adjust it to 6+ months ahead
- You can then turn cell/wifi/bluetooth back on.

That should be it and the ghost accessory should be gone, mine didn’t require restarting my phone and I just toggled “set time automatically” back on!

Hey guys, I’m using an iPhone 18 and facing an issue with fingerprint verification on both the NADRA Pak ID and Easypaisa apps. Whenever I bring my finger close to the camera for scanning, it gets blurry and won’t focus. The normal Camera app works fine.
Is anyone else facing the same issue? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

My wife has a 15 Pro Max. It’s on the latest iOS 27. For many of the messages she sends, a few minutes later she’ll get a red error message that says “message not delivered.” But, I actually do receive the messages.

We have tried turning iMessage off and on, turning FaceTime off and on, airplane mode on and off, doing a soft reset. Nothing has worked.

Any other suggestions?

I know someone out there has the knowledge that my Google searches fail me on. I seem to have a continuous problem with group messages. If I start them, regardless of with iPhone or android users, all is good. If someone else starts them, the group chat gets blown apart after someone responds. It’s like the group chat never existed, but I get individual replies from people. I checked the RCS settings, everything looks normal on the other message settings. It’s becoming a problem and I can’t figure it out! Does anyone have a fix for this?

I’m trying to figure out how to take more photos with my 64 GB iPhone since I don’t want to delete them, I don’t see what’s the point of having that much space on the cloud if I have to also have that much space on my phone. Is there any way around that I don’t really wanna upgrade my phone right now and I’m on vacation and I need to be able to take plenty of pictures and video.

Not sure if it's just me, or it's the new iOS, or this is normal.. but anyone else open a conversation in messages and then press the message bubble and it doesn't open? It takes a good second or two before being able to press the message button.

I just upgraded to an iPhone 17 today and my watch wouldn’t connect. I had to reset my watch to be able to get it to connect. I have an apple watch series 3. I have always used the “favorite” category in my photos to have a changing watch face. There used ti be an option for photos on the watch and the watch app. I cannot seem to find it anywhere.

I have googled this problem but I have not been able to find a solution for this.

Any suggestions?

Just got an 18 pro and the wallet keeps opening asking to double-click.

I have no case, the phone is untouched on my desk with the screen on. It is in the same spot as my previous iPhone 12 but this has never happened before. It is next to my work iPhone 13 but if i try to put both together, nothing happens. NameDrop is off on both phones. Turned off most wallet settings that I can find.

To me, this HAS to be an issue with iOS27 or the iPhone 18 pro, but guides haven't helped. Seems there are many reports, but none resolved. If you have found something that worked for you please let me know!
