This seems a little too much, 32gb for the system alone… what‘s there to do against it?

With iOS 27 safari now has the tab switcher button but to me is redundant, given that with just swiping up you can see your tabs. Is there any way to switch it back to the 3 dots menu? It was quick to share a page or access extensions. Holding down on the url seems stupid and longer to me.

I am a first time iOS user and currently on 26.6.2 version. I have noticed this twice before in previous versions that my phone is not plugged in the charging port but it is in my hand and i am using it. Still the battery icon on top shows that it is charging.

I also have another issue with battery where i have set limit to 90% and an automation that once my battery reaches 90% it will announce that battery is charged. But I noticed while using phone for quite sometime, my phone runs the automation saying battery charged which means the phone was charged above 90%.

Is there something I missed or there is a problem with iOS?

***Solved***Go old school and connect iPhone to Mac with a cable. In Finder, click on iPhone > Music tab > Synch what you want!

I've looked all over my MacBook and my iPhone and my iCloud settings and I cannot find a way to get the playlists I've just created on my Mac to my iPhone? Is there really no way to synch the two? Do I have to recreate the playlists in BOTH places and maintain 2 copies??? Please tell me I'm missing something. I do not have an Apple Music subscription, just years of music purchased from iTunes/Apple Music.

My WhatsApp is taking up too much storage. When I check my iPhone settings, it shows that WhatsApp is using up to 33 GB, whereas WhatsApp’s own storage settings show only around 5–10 GB in total. I’m not sure if it’s caused by cached data, but I don’t want to lose my chats. Is there any way to clear this extra storage safely?

I linked Y Combinator’s Hacker News to my home screen as a web app but on iOS 27 there is this really annoying blur effect that covers the top of the website and it’s really bothering me. If anyone knows how to turn it off without using “Reduce Transparency”, please let me know.

As the title says, whenever I’m listening to music and scrolling social media or discord and I open a video, the music pauses. This didn’t happen before so it is really frustrating.

My storage is constantly full. I’m deleting apps, backing up photos to iCloud, and trying every trick (Safari cache, changing date, restarting), but nothing works. I’m tired of doing this every day. Has anyone found a permanent fix?

i am facing this issue with my phone from the very first day i have bought it.
i use boat nirvana tws and portonics wired earphones with iphone 17, i noticed the tws randomly beeps while using the phone and beep is exactly sounds like when i maximise the volume of buds.

this happens randomly, but there are sometimes that i have noticed it.
- while starting to type on keyboard, when the keyboard sound is on.
- when lock the phone
- sometimes when a notification arrives.
- when using whatsapp, sending a chat then it beeps.

i am fed up and this irritates me a lot.
also keyboard typing sound suddenly increase for a sec then get normal, and when i take a pause and start typing , this happens again...

plz if anyone knows any fix apart from disabling keyboard sound, please do let me know

I’ve been getting an unreasonably high data usage on cellular under system services > general.

Data usage racks as high as 10GB in under 15 minutes.
This happens alongside fast battery drain and high heat.

To no surprise, even Apple doesn’t know why. I’ve been to the stores to sit down with their “geniuses” and even Apple support online. No trouble shooting methods work.

I have ensured the following:

All back ups for apps and iCloud are strictly over WiFi.
Connectivity assist for WiFi is off.
Software update auto-download and install is off.
Software update over WiFi only.
Low data mode on.
4G data only.
iCloud Drive sync over WiFi only.

Apple’s last resort was to reset my phone and setup as new.

I did that and still get the same high usage.

When asked what system services > general was, the Apple support techs said they “do not know what that is”.

This issue is costing me a lot of money and I no longer know what to do.

There is a Debbie who is either giving out the wrong number or used to have my number and I get calls and messages for her all the time, which is fine, I just block and move on but I’ve come across this one that doesn’t have a number and I can’t block it? It texts me almost daily and I’m not sure what to do about it, wondering if anyone might be able to help?

When I press “block contact” it literally does nothing- the button lights up like it’s done something but then it doesn’t.

I’ve obviously refreshed the app/ restarted my phone and I would manually add it as a blocked number in my settings but there is no number??

I am well aware that it could be a scam so I have not clicked on the link in the messages.

I'm a bit confused about how WhatsApp backups work on iPhone and hoping someone can clarify.

When I check my WhatsApp backup under iPhone Settings -> iCloud -> Saved to iCloud, it shows a much smaller backup size (around 11.5 GB).

However, when I go to iPhone Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → iCloud Backup, WhatsApp shows a much larger size (around 32 GB).

I'm particularly worried about losing my WhatsApp chat history and media when switching phones.

Has anyone experienced this? How can I make sure everything is properly backed up before transferring to a new iPhone?

Has anyone else experienced unusual behavior with the Apple Music app opening on its own on an iPhone?

I have been experiencing this issue since updating my iPhone to iOS 27.0.1. Before locking my iPhone, I make sure all apps are closed. However, when I unlock the device later, I occasionally find that the Apple Music app has opened by itself and is displaying the Music home screen.

This behavior never occurred on my iPhone prior to updating to iOS 27.0.1. I’m curious whether anyone else has experienced the same issue or knows what might be causing it.

Never been a fan of updating my phone to the newest ios, because in the past it would cause issues and whatnot. I have a iphone 14 and I’m still on ios 17.6.1 😭😭 and a lot of the apps I use are starting to require ios 18 or newer to use them. My question is, is it worth it updating to 27? has anyone have any problems or issues with it or am i chillin without it?

So I want to get an 18Pro because I'm on the 15Pro and I want to do trade in because I'm not that stupid with money but the guy at the Apple Store says that a trade in has to be done immediately and I can't sit there and transfer files. Apparently I can bring the old phone in for trade in later and get the money back but I'd much prefer to not faff with the credit agreement.

So I'm looking at doing a finder backup but my mac only had 60GB available on a good day. I've tried symlinking my backup folder to an external drive but it still scans my local drive to see if it can start the backup in the first place.

I've tried searching but best I can find is advice on how to back up photos and I just want to clone everything.

Any ideas?

So the plan looks to be, try a different store and hope they’re not dicks but before that take advantage of temporary unlimited iCloud
