This is why iOS 12 was my favorite version, it was mostly focused on optimizing the mess that was iOS 11 and somehow managed to run really well on the 1gb devices

bro that’s how apple is known for but now all we believing like it’s our device fault my be it’s too old that’s why it’s stuttering but iphones takes so long time to feel unusable like a 3 year android does !

You forget that there were significant bugs in the first couple of iOS 12 releases but they did address them and by the end of that run it was solid. 27.0 is a big improvement over 26 and 27.2 seems more solid. Keep checking in.

Yeah. This has been going on for way too long now!
Tired of them releasing updates to the public that feels like unfinished betas.

Nah, cause so many people are always complaining that Apple doesn't innovate new features and make the system look all different and less same boring look.

i think that’s completely from android market cause they just want apple research papers to replicate 1:1 ratio like they do with dynamic island and every tiny thing ls like the status bar icons so this how they standout!

So true! I have a few bugs that are just unfathomable, but hey liquid glass is even more transparent. smh

I am quite happy with iOS 27!
I love the look of it, it functions really well for me. I’m a fan of Siri AI (I have had great success with it and feel it is great improvement over regular Siri)
Overall it’s been great

There’s bugs but they still keep making UI more convoluted then iOS 18. Like going to click on a phone, I shouldn’t have to click on the call or FaceTime call from the phone icon in a contact. If I want to FaceTime I’ll click that. The little checkmark bar that appears at the bottom of Safari when I type in a form is annoying. I wish they would streamline the UI.

How it's impossible to jump to the top of the recant calls is beyond my comprehension.
Why keyboard still loves to bug out between native and 3rd party?
Why iOS can't recognize a difference between critical alarm and music? Every single day it blasts critical alarm lvl of volume for my Dexcom alert while I'm listening to music making music unbreable loud.
And it's just 3 things that drive me crazy every day

watching reels nd suddenly ph rings volume maxed in public happens so many times

My favorite is how you have to go through like 5 different confusing menu’s just to change your wallpaper. Even Android isn’t this confusing!
1
u/bananachange 13h ago
And you can’t delete a wallpaper in the settings/wallpaper screen, you can only delete wallpapers by changing it from the lock screen. Ridiculous.

installed every ios27 developer beta on base iphone & m1 ipad air since 8th june and can only remember 1 update had a couple of bugs that was reissued a week later, minor bugs ,one was certain websites i could not press top bar menu items and the other was similar on massages app
apart from that it’s been stop on
biggest gripe with people that have pro motion devices that have a bit of stutter when swiping or scrolling .

Oh and you think they read their feedback?
3
u/mrgrafix 16h ago
They read it more than here
1
u/Detrakis iPhone 16 Pro 14h ago
I doubt that they read that anywhere to be honest.
2
u/mrgrafix 14h ago
With that attitude– you’re right

Don't get me wrong, but they seem like the company that "knows best" and is proud of it. But sometimes they're really not.

There are always going to be bugs though. You have an update and with that update new bugs will form. It's just the nature of technology. With that said I don't think I've used a new feature in IOS at all. I turned Siri AI off, and I'm not doing anything with images or anything like that. I still wish they would bring in things that I've been watching for years, like message archiving, an update button to update airpods, stuff like that.

That was “SUPPOSED” to be the point of ios27, but I guess the new ceo doesn’t give a shit.

iosmacOS/27 seems like such a dud of a release to me. I can’t even tell the deference between it and 26.
i could tell a big difference between leopard and snow leopard. Everyone could tell the difference between Windows Vista and Windows 7.

let’s hope ios 28 under his leadership but of course craig is still SVP !

u/driftless 14h ago
Yeah. I just don’t like the whole thing of them saying 28 was supposed to be a “bug-fixing and optimization” version, yet they keep adding shit instead of fixing the stuff that’s STILL broken.

Android is just as broken.

No. I've used plenty of Android phones in my life, and none of them had as many bugs and glitches as iOS. Let's finally stop pretending that iPhones are the best phones, Apple doesn't give a damn about us. And no, I'm not saying this as a troll from the Android community, but as a pissed-off user.

u/ACasualRead 19h ago
So you’re going to ignore the still prevalent fragmentation of android software updates, malware found multiple times in the Google play store and pre-installed bloatwear that can’t be uninstalled easily? Case in point: Samsung and Bixby.

I’m going back to Samsung very soon, One UI is very smooth and refined. iOS feels like Android from 10 years ago.

As someone who moved from Pixel to iPhone in January this year to escape a bug-ridden experience, I have to say I'm disappointed. My iPhone 17PM came with iOS 26.2 which I actually thought was pretty good in terms of stability, however, iOS 27 has been pretty awful. Random stutters when using the open apps menu with clear or tinted icons enabled, random heating and battery drain (which I NEVER experienced on iOS 26), sub-par Siri experience, app bugs and glitches, widgets causing screen artifacts when being moved, the list goes on! I am hoping that 27.2 gets my device back to the performance and stability I had with 26.2 because for a vertically integrated (Apple make and design their own SoC, device hardware AND software and software APIs) multi-trillion dollar company, this is not acceptable for such an expensive device!

I’m convinced that there are a bunch of 13 year old boys working there who decide what stuff to change up. They add useless features that sound “cool,” move commonly used things to obscure places, and get rid of things that people actually like and use- what do they care? They’re 13- they don’t care how it functions anyway.

I really need to fill that 7th roll. So i have waited.
Last year 26 killed my SE3.
Now the constant notification to update to 27.0.1 is the last straw. I’m quitting iPhone whenever my current one dies.

The fact that I have to force quit the music app multiple times on the subway because the phone loses internet and suddenly forgets how to play downloaded, offline songs, drives me insane.
