being grateful for my life for people who are disadvantaged

you see how some people see disabled people and say things like, i'm lucky i'm not disabled, so i should appreciate my life. some criticize that and say it's morally wrong to turn someone's pain into your own happiness. but in my view, it's not evil thought. it's just a byproduct of empathy. they feel the pain, and then become more grateful for their own lives. it starts with empaphy and the gratitude follows after.

so feeling that way is a signal for empathy, not comparison.

[POCD] I need help

Hello everyone, I 21M have been struggling with Pocd for a couple weeks because I went off my medication and am having a big flare up. I have had this 2 years ago at the exact same time but with other themes as well.
To be perfectly honest, I have getting aroused from thinking about 14 or 15 year olds trying new things sexually. I hate that I have these thoughts, i spend most the day ruminating or checking but the attraction feels real and I don’t know if there is just something wrong with me. I was even reading some of the other stories of people who have pocd on Reddit who were under 18 talking about their sexual fantasies and got turned on while reading it. I don’t really know what to do or think and I have thought about ending everything. Is there something wrong with me?

To love me more is to know me less

Maybe it’s easier to love me when you can idealize me. The more you get to know me, the harder it becomes to separate who I really am from who you imagined me to be.
