General I hate low quality content being artificially inflated in ratings because of LGBT-adjacence
I AM NOT HATING ON THE TRANSGENDER OR LGBT COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE!!! If you are typing out some comment with some sweeping hateful/disparaging generalization about the trans/LGBT community expecting me to agree with you, gtfo!!!
That being said - there IS a frustrating counter-culture that exists as a over-response to transphobic behavior online, where gay and particularly trans content is OVER-inflated, oftentimes problematically.
The image provided above isn't necessarily problematic, just really fucking cringe, but there are instances where it genuinely has been an issue. In the Warhammer community, there was a big controversy where people were getting mass banned for criticizing karma farmers who would literally just dip their minifigs in buckets of paint to make a lgbt flag. Not painted, not a scheme, literally dumped. No thinning or wash to make it look nice either.
It's depressing the kind of fragile culture people have made the lgbt+ community into that basic, fair criticism of people often gets you banned.
Like we shouldn't have to put disclaimers (like the one at the top of my post) or tow lines when making even basic comments just because of someone's sexuality. Not just because of the abuses it permits, but because it really harms the same people they claim to protect.
