Finished Object I’m super proud of this

My husband I volunteer for a local cat rescue and I have recently taken over the crafting team. We make all kinds of stuff to raise money for the rescue. I had an idea to take one of the couches we make and elevate it for our fundraiser event this coming weekend. I had to share this somewhere because, once it finds its fur-ever home, it will be just a fleeting memory for me.

Finished Object Zelda blanket!!

Post image

After a year and a half of work (very on and off) I finally finished my Zelda blanket project! I’m so proud of this one it looks so cool! 😁 All done with 4mm crochet hook single crochets. For the pattern I took the Z with the master sword design from Pinterest and transformed it into a pixel art, cleaned it up a bit and added the border. I made the border with the BOTW sheikah alphabet and put some of the most iconic lines from the series (took some letters out to fit but the message is there lol).

Ps. Don’t mind my cat and the wrinkles, it was badly stored for a long time to allow knitting on the go.

Finished Object Update re "what have I done" monster blanket!

A while back I posted this monster rainbow blanket - well, I have completed it! I finished out a second rainbow and stopped at that. I decided it was far too massive to be practical, so I promptly folded it in half and crocheted it together. It still covers my entire bed with a ton of overhang 😅 And it is kitty approved!! I'm quite happy with how it turned out - I unintentionally made a weighted blanket, so not what I planned to end up with lol, but it has been perfect for snuggling under during the first chilly fall nights of the year!

Frogging Cable pattern afghan, to frog or not to frog? 🐸🐸🐸🐸

I messed up the first stitch in the true cable pattern and now when I’m trying to do the upper ribbing on this afghan the stitches are coming out off by one, making it look odd. Probably just something I would notice but it’s driving me nuts. My husband says I shouldn’t frog it but I’m really tempted to (it would be a lot of work and at least 10+ skeins of yarn) but I don’t have a good way to fix the upper stitches.

What should I do? Frog the whole thing for this one mistake or leave as is and try to cover up the weirdness of the upper ribbing?

My very first cardigan! I live in India so I always make things that are a little loose and holey with 100% cotton yarn. This is Aran weight Mercernized cotton yarn with a 5mm hook and I used the Hanna K pattern. Her Etsy it currently down but this is her Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hannahkennie?srtk=cnh1amR2OGxvZm91

Finished Object Beginner at crochet, but finished my first sweater!

Post image

I just finished my first crochet sweater for my daughter’s birthday! This was a top down pattern by MJs off the hook website and I used size 3 weight, mandala baby cakes in diagon alley color…
I have to say, this was my first time attempting to steam block as well, and THAT WAS MAGIC. Like, literal sorcery happened in real time and I could barely contain my excitement lol
I forgot to take a before pic, but here it is after blocking! Now to wrap it up for her birthday! ❤️

Work in Progress Is anyone else a slow crocheter?

Post image

This is half of a shirt. I've been working on it for something like 5 months. I'm finally almost done. My friend who started with me finished it like two months ago.

Anyway, looking for some communion with other slow crocheters, I suppose. I've been doing this for approximately one year.

Edit to add pattern: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/chantilly-crochet-summer-top

Edit 2: I didn't expect so many responses but thank you! Slow crocheters unite (slowly and when we get there)!

I finally got to finish these cushion covers! They're joined together in a 4x4 big square and then sew on a dark green canvas cushion cover.

Pattern is https://www.nautikrallcrochet.com/blog-freepatterns/hygge-burst-pillow-pattern (not sure which ones are the original grannys from the pattern because I had to do a few more so I wouldn't repeat squares...).

Yarn is Drops Paris.

Lost yarn chicken at 10 stitches left but you can't tell so I call it a win

Freehanded the design and just followed the vibe till I ran out. Added elastic thread to waistband to allow it to stretch and hold my waist.

Used 3.5mm hook with the silver Truboo lions brand yarn. Very silky and blocked out perfectly when I needed to add some extra length to the back.
