Pic for attention lol, TL/DR: I got a defective Jellycat, bonded with it while waiting for the customer service ticket and now they want it back and I dunno what to do, suck it up and accept i spent a lot on a defective product or to push back.

So about a week or so ago I got my Jellycat order of their new(ish) Ulrich Wolf after I debated and debated because as much as I love Jellycats and have a small collection, their prices have got insane imo. Anyway, decided to cave for him and as soon as he came, I was in love. He's honestly amazing. I haven't really had this instant connection in a bear for awhile.

Usually I only display my Jellycats, but this guy has been with me everywhere. I renamed him Misha, and I've been sleeping with him, even took him out to my hair appointment.

Issue? He's defective. I noticed the first night I had him. He's got a hole in his ear where the manufacturer just hadnt stitched it properly, leaving an open seam. Its small and I could fix it myself, but he was £60. That sort of thing is not okay for that price. So I immediately took pics and sent off a form to the team. Took them ages to get back, they only just did today, but now I dont know what to do. They want him back.

The email said once I gave his batch codes they'd give me a return label and he'd be sent back to their quality control team apparently. What good is that? They shouldn't have missed it in the first place. And it's not just me, Ive seen others complaining about holes in other plushies on this release too.

I dont want to send him back because I'm attached now and Im pretty sure they just destroy returned plushies because what exactly are they gonna do? Look at the seam and go "wow yeah thats not been sewn right. Okay next." I wanted to be compensated given I spent so much yet recieved a product they failed to have quality control on, even with something like a partial refund.

Maybe I'm overreacting, I dunno. I've just been having a hard time and don't know whether I should just suck it up, accept that I bought something expensive and 'faulty' and move on. Or if I should reply to the email and say I dont want that, I want some other resolution. I hope someone has some input or advice 😭💔

Hi all! I'm considering buying a Fahlo red wolf plush, because I love the seal plush I already have, but from the photos I'm unsure about the wolf's fur texture/quality. I'd prefer a plush over a bracelet, but I want to be able to cuddle it without sensory issues or the fur thinning/falling out/etc.

Does anyone have one, or handled one in person? If so, what is it like?

So I need help, basically I acquired this foxy plush from brother but years ago he slathered it with white nail polish and some marker I think idk. But Now that it’s in my possession I wanna restore him but I don’t know how to and the damage is kinda bad. So I come here to seek help in restoring my beloved plush, and any advice is appreciated

For the last few years, I’ve had a Jellycat Albee who I only realised a few months ago was a bootleg, and he’s still my favourite of all of my stuffies (especially because I adore bees in particular as one of my main special interests, and he’s one of several bees I’ve now got).

I‘m still taking him with me on various occasions when I go out and having him sit with me while I’m watching TV or doing my creative projects like writing, including me planning on taking him with me to London comic con next weekend. And today I got the genuine Jellycat Albee I ordered a few days ago when I found out they were back in stock, who I’ve named Barnabee and who I consider to basically be my original, bootleg Albee’s twin brother. 🐝

But now that Barnabee’s arrived and I have both a bootleg and genuine Jellycat bee, I do love my own equally but at the moment I’m feeling sad, because I just realised that not everyone out there is as accepting of ending up with a bootleg as I am.

I strongly suspect this is my hyper empathy talking (I’m autistic), but essentially, I’m feeling sad for the other bootleg plushies out there who get abandoned and shunned once their owners realise the fact that they’re bootlegs. Especially because the poor stuffies themselves can’t help how they were made or who by. 💔
