Do you actually maintain the jump starter in your car kit?

I am updating my trunk kit and wolfbox came up while I was comparing compact jump starter options, but the bigger question is whether I would actually remember to maintain one. It sounds useful until you remember the car sits outside through hot summers, freezing nights, and months where nobody thinks about the pack at all. Those who keep one in a VEDC setup, do you pull it out on a schedule to recharge and test it, keep it somewhere cooler, or just check it before trips? I like the idea of having a backup, but I am trying to be honest about whether my maintenance habits are good enough for it.

Help For a vehicle emergency kit, is a combo jump starter/inflator smart or too much trust in one box?

I am rebuilding my VEDC kit and trying to avoid filling the trunk with five separate gadgets I never check. The wolfbox seems appealing because it covers jump starts and tire inflation, but combo gear makes me nervous in an emergency. If the battery is low after airing a tire, or the pump side dies, the whole plan gets weaker. Would you rather carry one combo unit and keep it charged, or separate tools with more redundancy?

Is an all-in-one jump pack worth it when trunk space is tight?

I am reorganizing a small trunk before winter and would rather not carry a separate tire inflator and jump pack if one unit can handle both jobs. I am considering the wolfbox, but most of the time it would sit unused between road trips. And those who keep an all-in-one unit in the car, has the convenience been worth the extra size, and what routine do you use to check the charge before cold-weather travel?

How do you tell whether a jump pack is still ready before a long road trip?

A jump pack has been sitting in my trunk since spring, and the indicator still shows a decent charge, but I have no idea whether that means it can actually start the car when needed. Before a long drive, do you test yours somehow, recharge it on a schedule, or just trust the battery indicator? I would rather find out at home than in a parking lot six hours away.
