This is why I hate tradition and culture

Hi! I'm a trans lesbian girl from India and here's why I hate culture and tradition:

  1. Traditions reduce women to objects and restrict our rights while men are allowed to do whatever the fuck they want

  2. I get ostracised for being trans

  3. Women are considered good only for marriage and are forced to move in with their in-laws after marriage

  4. LGBTQIA+ is considered sinful

  5. You're forced into religion

  6. Casteism makes certain human beings "untouchable"

  7. Local companies sometimes deny promotions to pregnant women because they think that mothers cannot do jobs

  8. Hindu festivals are all about torturing women. From Karwachauth fasting to groping during Holi

  9. Wedding is capitalist bullshit

  10. Islam forbids women from denying their husbands' call for sex, Christianity says I'll go to hell for having gender dysphoria

How can I have respect for such fucked up traditions and religions? Hinduism glorifies matricide by the tale of Parshuram murdering his own mother, victim-blaming is common here in rape cases. Women are forced to wear traditional clothing and forced to get married even before they get a job. Working women are forced to do chores. And don't even get me started on the still present practice of female foeticide. It is DISGUSTING

Ancient traditions kill scientists, label feminists as witches, dehumanised LGBTQIA+ people and expoit the poor. Why should I respect such a fucking horrible culture? If anything, I feel ashamed of my culture and actively discard it

Girlies, go chase your dreams and only indulge in people you love. Marriage is a choice, success and self-actualisation aren't. By decree of the O5 Council, unlock your potential!

EDIT: Why did I get downvoted?

I wish I could meet one genuinely, through-and-through, no concessions or anything required of me, "good man", in this life. I/we don't want to die alone, either? Hello?

Not a "good guy", a GOOD PERSON. The bar is in hell for male behaviour; I've only ever been disappointed by them- personally, family, friends, workplaces, school, the [any] store, while driving, etc.- literally everywhere. I want to meet a man who is a good person, not just a "good guy", that's not good enough. The bar is in hell, being a [straight] woman is a nightmare. I didn't even ask to be born, let alone be subjected to a lifetime of sub-human treatment, nor did I choose to have this clearly poisoned well to only be able to choose from, too.

Ihih. I genuinely am so crushed. I (37/f) wish I had just been born male. Every single day I wish this. As a kid, my brother's life was such a gd cakewalk compared to mine; it was a f*cking nightmare. Women aren't socialized to view half the human population as sub-human. Males are, though; they're socialized horrifically, all across the globe, from the day they're born, the same way women are socialized to just deal with all the hell and bs, for zero valid or fair reason whatsoever, at all, for our entire effing lives, in every possible way imaginable.

I wish I had just been born male instead. I wish I could have been a pro baseball player, not even an option for me as a woman. And that's just the damn tip of the iceberg.

I wish men would stop being such a let-down, stop making things up to be mad over when REAL problems exist AND STILL PERSIST... they'd hate to be treated as sub-human for a lifetime, but they still choose to treat us, half the damn world, this way, every single day of their lives...

I'm just over it. And who cares if they get butt-hurt? Do they care about ANYTHING they do to us...? Fr? Do they? I wouldn't carry a weapon on me every single day of my life if not for men. That's a massive effing burden to carry every damn day, for zero valid or fair reason whatsoever. Aren't they blessed they don't have to even worry at ALL about EVERY SINGLE WOMAN potentially being a violent burden in their life/day? Must be nice, right? Looked nice the whole damn time...bros... *eyeroll*.

They're so cruel to us, too? Why are we caring about *words* when they literally do horrific ACTIONS/CRIMES/HARASSMMENT and MORE.. to us... EVERY SINGLE DAY! Get butt-hurt over words, literally, who cares anymore!!!!! I have to carry a gd weapon on me EVERY DAY BECAUSE OF YOUUU! NOT BEARS, NOT WOLVES, NOT WOMEN! YOUUUUU! SCREW YOU GETTING BUTT HURT OVER WORDS! LIVE IN FEAR EVERY DAY! FOR NO REASON AT ALL! EFFIN COWARDS! AND THEY'RE JUST SH*T TO US! EVERY! SINGLE! DAY! STILL! IN GD 2026!!! COME ON!!!!!????? The obligatory "not all men" to spare their feelings... gtfo. I've quite literally had enough of "males' feelings", screw your stupid feelings, PEOPLE ARE *STILL* DYING EVERY DAY BECAUSE OF YOU UNBELIEVABLE, SELFISH MONSTERS/COWARDS!!!!!! HAVE YOU NO SHAME??? NO SPINE??? AREN'T YOU GROWN ASS MEN??? YOU WOULDN'T LAST A DAMN MINUTE!!!!! YOU GET ALL MAD OVER WORDS WELL, JFC, DON'T TRY TO BE A WOMAN! YOU LITERALLY WOULDN'T LAST IF WOOORRDDSSS FREAK YOU OUT!! IMAGINE BEING IN DANGER EVERY DAMN SECOND, YOU COWARDS!!!!

It's so f*cked up. As a straight woman, I just want to meet a man who is a good person, not just a "good guy"; there's a world of difference there. You'd think I was asking for 10 billion dollars and every damn star in the sky.

No, just one male who is actually a genuinely good PERSON, not just a "good man", would be a miracle. Every single one has been a devastating let-down, nothing else. Ever. Not even one time. Doctors. Cops. Teachers. Church leaders, any one of them. Always a heartbreaking let-down.

Seems like everyone is just hoping he's actually A GOOD GUY, and not going to embarrass everyone for sticking up for him or defending him etc., then inevitably he does something awful or his past is found out. Everyone has to pretend it didn't happen (my family...), make excuses for it, downplay it, whatever.

Can't he just be a GOOD PERSON, not just a "good man"? Aren't you all superior, awesome MEN? WTF? Utter let-downs. Devastating, continual, repeated, every damn day let-downs.

Please, just do something else so we can say something else. We're more tired than you, promise.

Why am I never enough for a man to get over their ex, but the next woman is..?

Every time I have been dating a guy, EVERY time it has ended because the guy admits they not over their ex. Things can be going really well so I think, and then they pull away.

What confuses me more, is soon after all of these guys then find someone new and settle down or marry the next woman.

It’s making me worry why I am not enough , and why the next woman will allow the guy to get over their ex

I have recently started dating someone new, and once again I’ve experienced them pulling away. He broke up with his partner 2 years ago, but I suspect it’s something to do with him not being over her. He keeps being hot and cold

I wonder why I’m not enough! But the next woman always is, anyone have any ideas

I feel so disgusted in myself

I crave physical intimacy but when it happens I feel disgusted with myself. I hooked up with a guy who treated me terribly and even gave him a bj i regret this so much. When I came home that day I felt so sick I wanted to throw up. Ever since even tho we never had sex, I've felt dirty and contaminated lik his touch left something on me that I can't wash away. I spend hours in the shower trying to get rid of that feeling yet I still feel impure like I don't deserve a future partner or that this could ruin my future relationships. I just wish I could erase every trace of him from me.

I am being threatened how should I go about this?

I'll keep this short and sweet. I'm 20F and I need to meet ends meet by taking explicit photos to make some extra money because living in this economy is impossible... so I just got DM'ed today with my full name and my address not sure how I should go about this I'm assuming it's one of the people I possibly interacted with but im not sure how to shake this guy off. Should I get police involved or just leave it alone what would you girls do?

Is this just friendly banter to pass the time, or is he testing my boundaries? (40M and 23F)

Hey everyone, sorry to drop a long post here, but I’ve been overthinking a situation for a few days and could really use some outside, unbiased perspectives!

I’m a 23F teacher currently instructing an adult ESL class. One of my students is a 40M from Ecuador. He’s married with kids back home and has a very playful, friendly personality with everyone in class. We happen to take the same train home, so we mutually agree to commute together and sometimes use a translator app to chat. But lately, our train chats have turned into this playful banter that has left me kind of stumped and I can't tell if I'm totally misinterpreting things or if lines are being blurred. For context, he started off saying he’s got a question then used the translator to ask me if I had a boyfriend or had ever been kissed. When I told him I’ve never been in a relationship or been kissed, he jokingly accused me of lying because he seemed really surprised. Then he asked when I wanted to have kids. I told him later, like my late 20s, but he insisted that having kids early is way more enjoyable and that it's just better to have them young. I told him I wanted to enjoy life first, and I eventually changed the topic. The seating dynamic on our train rides has also been making me think. Even when the train cars are empty and there is absolutely no one sitting next to us, he sits so incredibly close to the point that our shoulders are always touching with no personal space. I don't feel unsafe at all and I truly think he’s just a nice family man trying to make a boring commute go by faster. But because of the 17-year age gap, I’m having trouble figuring out if this style of bold, suggestive comments and physical closeness is just a normal, harmless part of social/flirting culture in his home country? Or is he actively testing my boundaries? How would you objectively view his intentions? Thank you so much in advance to anyone who reads this!

How to handle Sexual assault at work?

I’m really needing women perspective on this issue. I’m at a crossroads on what to do

I’ve worked the same job for 10 years and my boss is disabled. I’m a in home care nurse. I’m hired directly and private.

Everything has been fine. But he’s a lot more needy and dependent these days, which makes him more depressed.
About a year ago he started asking me to let him rub my arm and hug me. I thought he needed extra companionship but still thought it was off. At one point I thought he might be going stir crazy bring mostly bed bound. But after some time I realized he knew what he was asking for.

Anyways, it started slow like that but escalated fairly quickly. Now we’re in this awkward situation I’m not sure how to handle. This job pays me well enough to care for my children and bills solely, and I can’t find anything close to the wages I make here.

He likes to “rub” my belly. Anytime I’m doing his care or near his bed he’s got his hand on my stomach just rubbing it, even if I pull away or move off he still
Does it. But it’s the fact I can’t do ANYTHING else. I can’t do laundry, dishes, sweep, clean, walk out of his bedroom, do anything else in the house (which is supposed to be apart of my position too) because he yells for me, or asks me to stand by his bed just so he can rub my belly…. Like literally he says “come stand here and let me rub you” and I’m like “no I have things to do” he says “I have anxiety and I need it”

Embarrassingly, I’ve given in. Because we literally argue. And he sort of manipulates me until I do it… knowing I don’t want to. I do think about losing my job….Then he started doing this thing where he would push his hand up, hitting my boobs. So I immediately put his hand down and walk away. He says I’m dramatic, and he needs better help around the house. If I say “I’m going to make a cup of coffee!” Or “I’m going to eat my lunch” he says “don’t be gone long” 2 minutes later he yelling for me asking where I am or what I’m doing and why it’s taking so long.

Aside from that. He makes weird comments that I do not know how to handle or respond too. Makes me uncomfortable. Examples:

“You get your hair done to find a boyfriend”
“You made your breasts look perky today”
“You dress up so boys look at you”
“I love your belly and face”
“Give me a kiss on the cheek please”
“It’s weird you don’t like sex, I don’t believe you don’t have sex” (he says this because I tell him I’m celibate and don’t discuss my sex life with others)
“You should wear shorts so I can see your legs”
“Yay you wore shorts because you do listen”

This goes on and on all day. 10 hours a day! I’m over it. And the bad part is there is no one to report this too. So it’s left to me. And it’s stressful. I’m not allowed to do anything and feel sort of like some object of his now. Reminder he was NOT like this for 9 years. It’s astonishing to me how great the switch up is. I hate to leave my job unless he gets the point that this is not okay. But he’s so stubborn and argumentative and uses the “I can die anytime” line on me so much it’s very manipulative….

Women only Scared by my baby fever

I(22F) am having severe baby fever in the past one year or so, and it started for absolutely no reason (no one I know had baby in the past year or recently). I never had a partner and I don't want one. Back in high school, I absolutely hated babies and I sweared to all of my then friends that I will never have a baby.

And here I am now, want to hug and touch babies every time I see them on street, spent two days figuring out a name for my potential kid, loved watching birth vlogs and thinking about having a baby myself.

It is literally getting worse because two months ago I don't want to give birth to one myself so I was literally looking into how can I adopt one after I have a steady income, but now I am genuinely into delivering a baby myself.

I am scared of it because I have never been obsessed to anything for this long time (always had a short attention span), and I don't see it will go away anytime soon😭

not a native English speaker, apologize for bad grammar

EDIT: Thanks everyone for offering advices! Just want to clarify that I WILL NOT have a baby right now, no matter how bad baby fever gets me. My plan is having one at 30ish if I still want one at that time

Does anyone else struggle with feeling inferior to men, even when you’re a feminist? Especially in martial arts?

This is something I’ve been struggling with a lot lately, and I honestly don’t really know how to explain it.
I’m a woman and a feminist. I don’t consciously believe women are inferior to men, but lately I’ve been realizing that, on a deeper emotional level, I think I kind of do.
I’ve recently gotten into Muay Thai, and I’m genuinely excited about it. I want to get really good, train seriously, maybe even compete someday. But being in a gym surrounded by men who fight has been bringing up feelings I wasn’t expecting.
I look at these guys who are so strong, skilled, and confident, and I feel this overwhelming sense of inferiority. I know men are generally physically stronger than women, and I keep getting stuck on the fact that even if I train for years and become genuinely good, a man at my experience level might still have a significant physical advantage over me. I know fighting isn’t just about strength, but I can’t seem to get past this feeling.
It’s not even just about fighting. I think I’m struggling with the idea of being a woman in general. I hate knowing that people might perceive me as inferior, objectify me, underestimate me, or see me as someone they could physically overpower. I hate the uncertainty of not knowing what men are thinking about me or whether they’re actually respectful people. Sometimes I genuinely wish I were a man, not because I necessarily want to be one, but because I wish I could have the physical capabilities and sense of security I associate with being male.
I think some of this is connected to a complicated history with a man who made me feel powerless. Seeing men who train to become stronger and more capable has made me think about how they might be able to defend themselves against someone who hurt them, while I feel like I could train for years and still not be able to defend myself against a much larger man.
The worst part is that I’m starting to sabotage something I genuinely love because of these feelings. I’ve gotten so anxious about being in a gym with men that I’ve felt physically sick just thinking about it. I’ve even frozen up and cried when trying to hit a punching bag. I start imagining the worst possible scenarios and can’t seem to calm myself down.
I also have other passions, like painting, where I can completely forget about my gender and just exist. But in Muay Thai, gender feels impossible to ignore. I’m constantly comparing myself to men and feeling like I’ll never be on the same level.
I’m starting to wonder whether I’ve internalized misogyny so deeply that I’m projecting my own beliefs onto men and assuming they see me as inferior because, somewhere inside, I see myself that way.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Especially women who participate in male-dominated sports or martial arts? How did you work through it?
I don’t want to give up something I love, and I don’t want to spend my life feeling lesser because I’m a woman. I just don’t know how to stop feeling this way, even though intellectually I know better.

TL;DR: I’m a feminist, but I struggle with feeling inherently inferior to men because of physical strength. I’ve started Muay Thai and want to become genuinely skilled, but I’m constantly comparing myself to male fighters and feeling like I’ll never be on equal footing, no matter how hard I train. It makes me feel vulnerable, unsafe, and sometimes even wish I were a man. I think some of this may be connected to past trauma and internalized misogyny. Has anyone else experienced this, and how did you work through it?

Direct personal experience only I've had enough of my bf

• Upvotes

He called me downstairs from my hostel for a walk and smoke then I was like I'll order pizza which we did. I was obviously expecting to spend some time together especially after not seeing each other for a long while cuz of schedules.

After smoking he leaves with his friend to get alcohol while the food is on the way then. I obviously called him over to eat and he brought his friend with him and wanted the three of us to have it outside sitting on the sidewalk literally in front of the hostel then he left to drink with his friend. I didn't bother saying shi cuz imma seriously leave the guy after this

To make it worse, it's not like me and this friend of his talk much either, he's just an awkward guy and mostly just stands awkwardly

Now he's texting me asking what's wrong as if it isn't obvious. I'm leaving this guy first thing tomorrow istg

My friend might sleep with a married man for drugs...

• Upvotes

Basically what the title says. Incredibly good, safe friend to me, and i gotta say that because I think some people imagine a dangerous individual selling out their loved ones for a needle whenever they hear shit like this, but she's an ordinary, corporate girl with just horrible mental health who is looking for uppers to function.

She's already on meds for her bipolar, but they don't have as much of an effect as needed because this is clearly a hypomanic episode (a thing she herself said)

Now, she has a married coworker that is constantly hitting on her, and has previous offered they do coke together, and she feels absolutely zero attraction towards him but she recently told me she might do something with him to get plug connections. Sex is like a high-five for her so the no attraction isn't an issue, but god, I don't think i can look at her the same if she willingly sleeps with a married man.

She says it's his job to stay faithful, and he already fucks around constantly, but in these situations I just cannot think about anyone but his poor wife. I don't know that lady, hell she might be having affairs too, but the whole situation just makes me sick to my stomach.

Dropping said friend is not an option so don't even bother, because other than this she's genuinely my twin flame and we both make each other's lives 10x better by being in them. I would sacrifice most other less problematic friends for this girl, I just don't want her doing stupid bullshit but I'm also scared to bring it up because she has BPD and mix that with a manic episode and criticism can and will only make everything so much worse.

Edit to add: (copied from a reply)

it's interesting that reading my own posts, I talk more about being concerned for the wife than my friend, which is just bad... think it's that little selfish voice in me that can't relate to what she's going through, but can relate to the wife, which is not good at all.

It's coming to my realisation right now that I've been fooled by her "high functioning rich girl addict🤪" insert stewy from succesion gif into not taking it as seriously as it needs to be taken. Half the shit is laced with fent now, and even without that drugs ruin lives, no matter how "high functioning" the person might seem. I will do better at taking the risks involving her into account rather than a stranger because I happen to relate to the stranger more.

edit: thank you everyone! to be clear this is NOT the automatic timer, it happens way before 2 hours (the shutoff on my heating pad). also if you can drop product recommendations it seems like this should be replaced ASAP and I dont want this to happen again😭

Direct personal experience only Do men only come to me for short term comfort ?

Okay ladies, i want to share a very personal thing about me, I have came out of a toxic long term relationship and healed from it and ever since then I have met few men , tried to date or talk to them but I realised something about me or all men are like this , all of them seem to come to me only for some short term comfort or needs . I have my needs too but it becomes very hurtful sometimes but I do not share this with them most of the time , but they seem to come to me when they are stressed, sad , or basically in a pressured situation. And all of them have repeated the same explanation about me - that they feel like I have a calm aura , they feel comfortable around me or they find me nice or different. But throughout these times I have really found myself feeling lonely most of the times where i fight with my own thoughts. All of these men have promised me some certain stuff but then they seem to just go away but then again come back like forgetting me for a period of time and then come back again, I have realised this was how my last relationship went too, he only came to me when it was too hard for him, other times I was taken for granted.. sort of like love bombing .. honestly I'm tired of this thing , and now I feel just more lonely , I want to feel loved and valued too but I have never gotten that.. I have noticed this cycle repeating with every man I have encountered but really wanted to ask this time ..

Women only Men invading my space in public

it’s so annoying. just to today I’m waiting for the bus and this guy who was sitting down on a bench gets up. I assume it’s to see if the bus is coming, but instead he goes to stand less that 5 inches behind me, while there’s a whole sidewalk in front to the side of me for him to stand. He just stands there, I move, and he still stands there and I think he’s looking at his phone for the arrival time. Finally he goes back to sit down. I doubt he’d walk over and stand that close to a man.

Its happened at night not long ago, the guy was walking up to where I was standing while looking at his phone. When he looked up and saw me staring him down he acted as if I was the weird aggressor, but he was the one walking up on me at night when the other guys are spaced out in the sidewalk behind us. The behavior seems so off and suspicious.

Why do they need to stand that close to a stranger to do whatever it is they need to do? it’s bizarre and weird. It’s why I never turn my back to men when I am waiting outside. They will always be weirdos that will just roll right up on you and stand practically on top of you. Which they’d never do to another man, especially for fear of the closeness being read as sexual attraction and the getting their block knocked off.

Any other ladies have similar stories or any other tips?

Spiraling about having not received the HPV vaccines as a child/teen.

There were days at primary school where nurses came to give girls the HPV vaccine, but I distinctly remember stupidly forgetting to get my form signed by my parents so I wasn't able to do it, and completely brushed it off at the time. No one bothered to followed up on it. I'm now in my 30s and reading scary things about people ending up with HPV-related cancers. I had absolutely no clue about the head and neck (aka throat) cancer that people get 10-40 years after exposure to the particular HPV strain. I'm happily in a monogamous marriage, with a child, and have been told that getting the vaccine now wouldn't prevent anything from any potential past exposures. I was quite sexually active in my teens and early 20s, mostly from being in peer pressured situations. I am so freaked out. My last few pap smears have come back normal, but the thought that these serious issues could arise decades later is insane. Why didn't anyone double check with my parents why my form wasn't signed?! Ridiculous. I was just a kid. I didn't know how important it was, no one educated me. I'm also concerned about having given anything to my husband. I want us to be around to see our daughter grow old. Any words of wisdom for this anxious mumma would be lovely.

Edit to add that I am completely aware that it's my own fault and not blaming anyone else. I guess just disappointed that it's something I'm now stressing about as an adult and wishing there was an adult with a fully functioning brain that had questioned it to confirm a decision. I don't remember much from back then.

Are there any other women who don’t constantly fear for their safety, or is it just me?

• Upvotes

I came across a reel on IG recently, and it asked women what they would do differently if they were men. It seemed to be filmed in NYC.

They said things like, “go to the park without looking over my shoulder ” or, “go see live music solo” or, “go for an evening walk alone”. It had hundreds of comments echoing these fears.

I understand the fascist, trad-wifey, Cornell-frat world we live in is scary. It is for me too, at a macro level.

But on a micro level? I’m not scared going to a live show by myself, or having an evening stroll. I’m not always looking over my shoulder. I have experienced scary things, I’ve been mugged, I’ve been followed a few times. But these bad life experiences haven’t (yet?) made me feel permanently on-guard as a woman.

I want to make it very clear that I am *not* judging women for feeling anxious or afraid. But is this really is how most women are feeling these days? Is my experience unusual? Or is this more like bad reviews for a restaurant—people are more likely to talk about a bad experience than a good experience?

ETA: I live in San Francisco, so not the most dangerous city but still a city.

I got played in my 30's and it's my fault

I did something very stupid and dumb!

I have been recently dreaming and missing this guy I use to talk to in my 20's ( I cut him off since I was fed up with him.). I reached out to him. We weren't perfect when dating, but he had qualities not found in other men and I wanted to reach out, and I thought we both have matured. He seemed skeptical and assumed I only saw him because a guy dumped me, but I explained to him that I missed him and I wanted to rekindle with people due to losing so many of my family members from illnesses, and how life is so short. We talked a lot and set up a date. I told him how much I was excited to see him

On the date, we went to the same place as our first date. We joked about how it's the old days. When we went home, I had him stay over since he lived far, we hooked up......and ofc he starts to get "busy." Replies immediately become less and not he straights up not responds. I sent a message sayin I am confused, he told me not to be, he is just busy and he will call me tomorrow. Tomorrow happened, and he did not reach out. I messaged him what time he is free, but no response. Ever since that, he had not answer any of my texts or calls a week after. He did not open any of my messages on FB and IG, and SMS text. I realized he is straight up ignoring me. I was in denial that I was a fuck and dump.

But it was my fault. I cut him off for a reason. He even showed some red flags but I made the choice to ignore them because I was scared about living or dying and really wanted companionship and rekindle with people. I guess since he never fuck and dump in the past, I took the risk. I have to realize men will do anything to get sex. They will use your weaknesses and trauma to get sex and dump you.

Ladies please cut a man off if he shows a little bit of red flag. And do not reach out to men you have cut off. They are capable of making you attached to get sex and leave you hurt and sad. THEY WILL DO IT. I am not trying to recover from being hurt when I KNEW BETTERT

"when you do x it makes me want to x"

my best guy friend/fwb (who is 99% of the time the sweetest person in the world) but struggles with rapid cycling bipolar will say this during his anger/manic phase-

"when you flinch, it makes me want to hit you"

"when you cry, it makes me want to yell"

when i act like he's dangerous.. he threatens to become dangerous. to be clear. he has NEVER actually hurt me and ik he never actually would. something would stop him at the last second. he has an illness and it makes him somebody else, but i know deep down this isn't him. and once he's back to baseline he's profusely apologetic and ashamed. he is on meds and sees a counselor, he is actively working on himself. but this is something out of his control.

anyone who has a partner (m or f) or close friend who struggles with mental health, do you have any advice on how to deal with this? how to keep him stable or any way i can be a better support? and to add, he’s not angry AT ME. it’s just misdirected and is largely due to an imbalance of chemicals in his brain. im good at recognizing the triggers and can help a lot but sometimes i can’t identify them

Women only Bi-curious women, how to explore?

I, 30F, recently had sex with woman in 40s for the first time. It was kinda spontaneous one night stand during my holiday.

She gave me greatest excitement and pleasure with multiple orgasms!! It is something I can’t forget in my head.

I have been only on the straight relationships.

And it makes me open to be bi-curious now and does anyone have experience of exploring bi-curiosity? And how did you go about doing it?

My mother had passed away back in 2020. I was 20 then. Her absence has created a huge impact on me. To top it the grief that I hold is so difficult to tackle even now. Soon her death anniversary would be coming up in a few days. I still have not come out of that loss, that absence. Sometimes i avoid, sometimes I confront, sometimes I just say a prayer out loud. Each passing day goes with her in my mind yet with a fear that as the year goes by I am forgetting her.

This above para is to let you the reader know how much her absence has shattered me. In my life i truly only had her. as my everything.

so today a niece of mine who is barely ten, legit took a moment to mock me. Perhaps mock is not even the right word to match the impact she held. i know she knows whats the state of the role of my mother in my life, so the possibility of her physical absence is obvious to her. However she took a moment to ask me where is your mother. Even thoufh I was caught off guard, I answered her sky. She further went forward where in the sky. Thats when i had started getting pissed because i saw the smirk. yet i answered “up”. she went forward with “up on the roof”. The worse part was not how ignorant she sounded. It was seeing the grin she had. She knew she was crossing the line. and she was enjoying it. I could see it through. To make matters worse, she then further takes a moment with sudden change in tone to be exact from innocent to cold tone, “I really wanna know how she died”. Now, I am an adult who has an understanding of basic behaviour to recognise what is genuine curiosity what aint. this wasnt a curiosity. To top it i know she knows my mother had passed away because she herself said when she was 2, “her mother is dead”. Even then I was hurt but everytime I reminded this is a kid we are talking about. A toddler.

As the flashbacks hit me of the time when she was 2 and how everyone in my relatives remained silent which had hurt me, I refused to let her know the story with a direct “no”. She goes and starts pleading with the same grin. Then she takes a moment and says with a mean tone which i never in my life have even received it throughout my life even when i was a kid. I dont even know how to describe the cold tone. how do i even describe the ignorance pretence yet a want to deliberately hurt you tone. “she died by choking” she even acted it out with her hands. I confronted to her that if she knows how my mother died then why are you asking me. She legit points at the kitchen and tells me go and do your work. This kid ordered me. And when i asked her am i a servant? she ignores it. a moment passes by and she suddenly drops her mean mask and goes back to the innocent niece mode.

This kid has said many mean things to me. I always honestly tolerated because it was not in my hands to correct her with strictness. I always tried my best to let her know this is bad that is right. But what more can I dk when the parent and grandparent are okay with the act.

Yet today, after saying all this, I am amazed by the cruelty. Yet I feel a sense of am I wrong to take it personal. and even if it is personal its my niece who is a kid. Then another thought strikes me, in this life my mother was mattered to by her dad the most who passed away when she was young, her mother who passed away the next month as to my mothers death, her sisters? yes but they have their own family responsibilities, her husband? my dad? yes but again he doesnt take stand around much when its about his side of family involving his birth family when the topic of concern is my mom and me. I dont have siblings. Its me alone. So in this world at present, one who puts her in no. 1 is me. It should affect me. I should take a stand. Not to torture my kid. But def to my aunt my cousin who legit after knowing the incident are showering more love and care to her all when i am in the same space as if they are legit picking sides and showing me the side they picked.

I think I should remain pissed. not by drama involving arguments as for certain family reasons we are staying togethwr for a few days. I am just not the same as i was. I used to laugh. I used to be soft spoken. I used to involve myself. Now am thinking not to indulge much. Maintain the boundary. let them know I am pissed yet do my duties involving house chores.

or am i actually overreacting?

my friend think i aint. yet i find it tough to not to think this is traumatic for even a kid to go theough. but that doesnt mean i want to hear the same kid laugh giggle grin smirk at the thought of my mothers death and take it as a joke.

Direct personal experience only My gynecologist offered me weight loss pills

EDIT: The misunderstanding has been cleared up, thank you everyone for sharing your knowledge and eprsonal experiences. Looks like I had it all wrong! I'm a happy camper now :)

I've been diagnosed with PCOS and insulin resistance last year. The doctor seems good to me, he was the first person to actually refer me to a hospital for a proper set of tests to diagnose me, instead of just saying "probably endometriosis" and sending me off with birth control. So I guess that's why this is making me emotionally conflicted.

I know I'm not an ideal weight. I weigh 75kg, so it could be lower but it's not crazy. Especially considering my diet issues (some additional problems with autistic food aversions which I'm working on at my own pace). Recently I went for a checkup, he asked me about my weight and height like he usually does. It didn't change since my first visit with him. But this time, he started talking to me about looking into diet pills. I said I think I'm better off working on my diet, especially regarding my diagnosis he gave me. Had a short talk, moved on. Then, when I was leaving his office he brought it up again. Said I should look into it.

I don't know, it left a bad taste in my mouth. Why would a gynecologist who helped me look into endocrynology as well recommend me weight loss pills instead of diet, especially at this weight? It didn't feel very professional. Like he was either pushing an image standard on me or has some kind of relationship with a pharma company. Granted, he never mentioned a brand or anything like that, but I did shoot the idea down pretty quickly. I dunno if I'm overreacting. Just felt bad.

Direct personal experience only Why can I only orgasm when I touch myself, even though my boyfriend tries his best? NSFW

I only orgasm when I stimulate my own clitoris (fingering doesn't work and it's pretty unconfortable sometimes). My boyfriend has gotten a lot better at it, but nothing seems to work. It doesn’t matter if he goes down on me (which, by the way, I barely feel anything from, and I don’t know if that’s normal) or touches my clitoris. It feels good, but it never gets me to orgasm.

I’ve guided his hand and shown him what I do so many times, but it just doesn’t feel the same when he does it. A lot of the time, when he goes down on me or touches me with his fingers, it even feels a little uncomfortable, even when he’s being really gentle. It’s just not the same as when I do it myself.

It never feels as good when he does it as it does when I touch myself, and I really wish he could make me orgasm without me having to do it myself.

Does anyone have any advice? Is this normal? I’ve wondered if it might be psychological, since I already find it pretty difficult to orgasm in general, although when I’m touching myself, I can sometimes orgasm multiple times. I don’t know. It’s honestly so frustrating, and I don’t know what to do.

My father wont take me seriously

Tw: slight mentions of abuse

You know how women have to raise their voices just so a man will actually listen to them? E.g. you’re trying to tell a man to stop doing something bad, and they simply will not listen to you if you say it calmly, but suddenly when you yell, they finally “know you’re actually serious”.

This is like me and my dad, but he’s even stopped listening to me yelling at him and brushes me off while pretending it’s all a joke. I’m sick and tired of it and it manages to ruin my day, every single day. It’s to the point where Im enraged the second I have to deal with him, and I always feel the urge to smack him to show how serious I am. Yet he still pretends it’s all a fun game to him, no matter what I do, he pouts and runs off. Im also not angry at him for no reason, he’s a gambler, smoker, sometimes steals my money, refuses to do “women’s” chores, refuses to do his own chores without multiple reminders and is constantly frustrating to even reason with.

For reference, I’m a university student still living with my parents, I could deal with all of this before but he’s started gig work and I have to translate for his clients now. It’s immensely frustrating as he won’t even write down client details, never remembers old clients or future work and refuses to take responsibility for mistakes while becoming illogically annoyed at his clients. I have to deal with this everyday when I come home. I ask my mum if she could make him move out, but we rely on him for income. And the last time he left town for a job, he returned home with no money from gambling it all, and even asked my mum who deals with the mortgage and bills for rent money. I’m so tired of this, it’s like he’s the only negative thing in my life. I come home happy and energised to study and I’m instantly extremely angry when I have to translate for him. I feel like I’m becoming a terrible person and I’m scared that my smacking him will turn into something “normal”.

I just want to know if other women go through this, and how you guys dealt with it. Thanks.
