So... I've recently ran into a lot of problems regarding game restrictions.
First of all. I understand why it's not allowed to switch regions to not abuse buying games from regions where the currency is really bad and thus getting games for abnormally cheap in a country that's fairly well of, so to speak.
What I don't understand is, why are some games completely blocked out in countries with no active game laws. For example, as someone who lives in Slovakia, whenever I try to look up AION 2, nothing shows up. Not only does nothing show up, there's absolutely no reasoning anywhere as to why the game is blocked in my country when we don't really have any game laws here and I don't see how an mmo would break anything so much so they'd have to completely block it off.
I have a friend in Turkey, whom I often play games with and I tried to get him Smallands, but apparently that game is completely blocked from his country too. No information available, no reasoning, again. From what I've heard, a lot of things are blocked in Turkey, but I don't see why an insect co-op game would be.
Both of these issues seem fairly unreasonable here. Why restrict such games completely from some people? There's similar games out there that are completely available despite their gambling aggressive mechanics and similar features, where they only warn you to play at your own risk.
So why are some games completely blocked off? And why is there no way to get to play a game like that? The only other way I'm assuming to get these games is get an actual copy of the game, cracked, and play it this way. But that's also against policy. So then, are people completely restricted from these games forever unless they move to another country? How does this make sense?
