Things that should be required by all contractors.

• Upvotes

I’m not a business owner, I’m just a service mechanic trying to make my way to retirement.
There are a lot of things that should be required from contractors at the completion of each job that are not required for whatever reason.

1) Scope of work completed.

2). As built controller points list.

3) Third party verification of proper operation of what had been installed.

4). At least two copy’s left at the location for people who will be working on things in the near future.

We are a contractor for a very large Supermarket. I feel like every time I’m sent out to something that is 357 days old it’s not working as designed and I need information that nobody has for problems that have never been fixed since the install was completed.
