Hey everyone!
Iām looking at picking up a Nintendo Switch 2, mainly because Iām travelling a lot more for work these days and fancy having something to play while Iām away.
I havenāt actually owned a Nintendo console since the GameCube, so Iāve missed out on quite a few generations of games! Iām really looking forward to the upcoming PokĆ©mon and Legend of Zelda games, but Iād love some advice from people who are already enjoying their Switch 2.
A few things Iām wondering about:
1. Game recommendations?
Iām mainly interested in single-player experiences with a good story, exploration, or just something I can sink hours into while travelling. Iāve been looking at Donkey Kong Bananza, which looks great, but what else would you recommend? Iām open to pretty much anything!
2. Streaming apps?
Can you get apps like Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon Prime Video on the Switch 2? And if so, how well do they work? It would be great to have one device for gaming and watching stuff while Iām away in hotels.
3. The Zelda 40th Anniversary console ā use it or keep it sealed?
This is probably my biggest dilemma!
Iāve currently got the 40th Anniversary Edition Legend of Zelda console on pre-order, but Iām torn about what to do with it.
Part of me thinks it might be worth keeping it sealed as a collectible and picking up a standard Switch 2 to actually use. But the other part of me thinks I should just say fuck it, open the Zelda edition and enjoy it as my main console.
Do you reckon these special editions will hold their value or become genuinely collectible over time? Or am I overthinking it and should just enjoy the thing?
Would love to hear everyoneās thoughts, especially from anyone whoās made the jump back to Nintendo after a long break!
Cheers!
