Some mf logged into my account and linked their switch 2 to it and i did change the passwords but i am not able to unlink their switch and i am not able to play anything on my switch rn…i did email them but anyway to kick this fucker out

As the title says, I turned my Switch 2 on today for the first time in a few months and discovered the name and icon of my profile changed. My partners profile stayed the same, only mine changed. Nobody else has ever had access to this Switch and it has not left my apartment. I already changed my password to be safe but as far as I'm aware these can only change directly on the console right? I do not know a Reagan.

Anyone know what could've happened? Is it some kind of bug?

ive been playing the trial of hello kitty island adventure non stop for the past few days, im obsessed. so much that ive collected a bunch of furniture and clothing that i really dont want to lose.
i dont get paid until after the halloween event so i wont be able to get it again.
im wondering if my progress will disappear after the game trial ends, or if i will be able to purchase the game in the future and start from where i left off.

I’m currently on vacation in Turkey and my Nintendo Switch 2 suddenly stopped working. I’m hoping someone has experienced something similar.

What happened
The console had been sitting in its dock, connected to the TV and the original Nintendo power adapter. The adapter was plugged into a three-outlet power strip connected to a wall socket. I had used this setup before without this issue.
I took the console out of the dock and placed it on a table. Both Joy-Con 2 controllers were detached. While I was wiping only the detached controllers with a damp cloth, the console suddenly switched off.

To be clear: I did not wipe the console or apply any liquid to it.

It was sitting separately on the table. I don’t know whether the timing was just a coincidence.

Current symptoms
When I press Power, the Nintendo logo briefly appears, then the console immediately shuts off.

Connecting the charger brings up the charging indicator.

I cannot reach the HOME menu.

I cannot access recovery mode either. Holding both volume buttons and briefly pressing Power produces the same result: Nintendo logo, then shutdown.

What I’ve tried
- Removed the game card.

- Removed the memory card.

- Disconnected the power supply.

- Held the Power button for 20 seconds.

- Tried entering recovery mode using both volume buttons and Power.

None of these steps has fixed it.

I also completely disconnected the original Nintendo Switch 2 power adapter to reset it, then connected it directly to a wall outlet and the console using the original USB-C cable, bypassing both the dock and the power strip. I left the console charging before trying again, but this made no difference: the Nintendo logo still briefly appears, and the console immediately shuts off.

Separate problems with both Joy-Con 2 controllers
I also have two button issues that I wanted to report for repair:

Right Joy-Con 2: The A button only registers reliably when pressed unusually hard.

Left blue Joy-Con 2: The left directional button also requires unusually hard pressure.

I’m mentioning these for completeness, but I don’t know whether they have any connection to the console’s startup problem.

Purchase and previous repair
I bought the console secondhand through Kleinanzeigen in Germany and received the original OTTO invoice dated September 12, 2025.

About four months ago, Nintendo accepted that same invoice for a Joy-Con repair without any problems. I’m now preparing a repair request for the console and both controllers.

My questions
Has anyone had a Switch 2 show the Nintendo logo and immediately shut off, including when attempting recovery mode?

If Nintendo repaired yours, did they explain what was faulty?

Has anyone had Joy-Con 2 buttons that only register under heavy pressure?

How did Nintendo handle a similar repair, especially with a secondhand console and the original invoice?

Can I fix this problem by myself somehow?

I’d appreciate firsthand experiences or safe troubleshooting suggestions. I don’t want to open the console or risk losing my save data.

Having a strange issue with my Switch 1 that I haven't been able to find a solution to; my battery seems to be functioning correctly (battery life seems fine and it seems to have charged back to full after letting it drain slightly. The notification that it's plugged in and charging also pops up.) but when I plug it in to charge, the battery icon on the top right doesn't change and stays solid black.

For further context, I haven't played with it in months and it's been in the dock this whole time. I only noticed the issue because the dock light was flashing green and after I reset it, I checked the home screen to make sure everything was running again. Tried resetting it, tried turning the battery percentage on and off, also checked the AC cable with my switch lite, which worked like normal. Also tried charging with the switch lite cable and I'm still running into the same issue.

It's probably not a big deal, but part of me worries it's indicative of a larger underlying issue. Any suggestions and fixes would be greatly appreciated.

My mom charged my switch 1 on our phone charge port. It's 1 usb charger that holds like 5 usb slots and fits into 1 charge port. She used one of our cables, and when i found it , I removed it. The charger had melted around itself. My mom put it in for an hour before i removed it.

My switch doesn't have any visible damage in the proper charge port it charges just as fast. I took it out after 20 minutes to inspect a bit further, and it does have a burned smell in the usb c port inside my switch.

I haven't played yet just charged shortly and turned it on and off. It's currently airing out the burnt smell, but i was wondering if there could be a problem with my switch or if important parts are near the charge port that could be damaged?

I have the Japanese version of the OLED. I am needing new Joy Cons for it. I bought some, but they are taller than the gaming system itself and don’t fit on.

From what I understood, all OLED Joy Cons are the same. So what am I missing?

I've recently bought a new router, TP-Link Archer GE550, and for some reason now my Switch 2 keeps disconnecting from 5GHz wifi. It still shows that there is a connection but I can't go online and the connection test keeps failing. Sometimes it just works again but only for a short while. I've tried many things already:

-Turned of IPV6

-Changed DNS settings

-Changed MTU to 1500

-Restart of console

-Turn on hidden connection

-Fixed channel to 36

-Put bandwidth on 20/40 and 80

It's only a problem on my Switch 2, all my other hardware works fine. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Yesterday, I noticed all of my digital games were missing their virtual game carts on my console (Switch OLED).

Going into the settings, they weren't listed as being on another console. In fact, my Switch Lite (which had a few virtual game cards loaded onto it) didn't even show up. So I don't think I've been hacked.

I was easily able to load them back onto my console. But I'm left wondering why it happened😂

Has this issue happened to anyone else?

Welp, I was playing in handled mode when it suddenly started popping the left "one pixel width" like than you can see on the image. Then, two days later as I was playing in handheld mode, the vertical lines appeared.

When there's high contrast like the white home logo against the black screen, it's even more noticeable.

I bought this console used, I've taken good care if it, but perhaps it had already done damage I have been paying with it for less than a year.

I think these a slight wobbling on the left joycon rail, maybe the previous owner dropped it in that side, but it's barely noticeable, but it also is the side where the screen first began to show that line.

Should I replace the screen?

Hi all, i have the re2 and re4 remakes pre loaded onto my switch but is there any estimate what time will they become playable?

Support told me that I will be charged 7 days before the release but in website is says 7-14 days before for physical items. I also received an email on 9th of October that I will be charged in shortly so I am panicking that if anything went wrong with my payment.

Hello uh so I've got a switch that's been with me from around 2017 to 2018 and this things been happening for a while where sometimes the switch says there's an error then goes onto an orange screen. Not only that but it will not connect to internet (i use a lan cable) I also suspect its overheating or something because it gets quite hot, hotter than my oled

I was wandering if anyone has any idea if its fixable? Its not modded or anything.

Question about save data.

Got a switch 2 last week, played a good amount of Pokémon legends Za, tried docking it around day 6 and the dock just wouldn't connect to anything.

Replacement has been delivered and I've got it set up but booting up ZA has started the game from the beginning. 35 hours sunk into that. Is there no way to get the save data other than from the previous switch 2 which i don't physically have anymore :(

Since a few years ago, a problem with a couple of my right joy con controllers (specifically right joy cons, I don’t think the left ones ever had this problem) is that when you lift them slightly, the switch (in this video, an OLED switch) acts like the joy con is disconnected. I really hope I don’t have to go to a repair shop/have to open the joy con up specifically for this issue to be fixed. The red joy con in the video has been with me since 2019, but I don’t think it’s because of age, since it’s been like this since I think 2021/2022. I suspect the rails may be dirty. I tried cleaning it with rubbing alcohol (or, well, alcohol prep pads, since I don’t have regular rubbing alcohol), but so far I have been unsuccessful. What should I do?

I'd left my Switch (1) on the lounge sideboard with my other stuff and it seems my mum thought she was helping out/cleaning by putting my switch on the dock. I have no idea how long it was docked for. I was busy and had no time for gaming. Maybe a month later I looked for it and finally find it in the dock. Both have been more or less on this entire time. I let the battery drain and then charged it fully... now it literally loses charge doing nothing. I haven't timed it but you can see the numbers tick down. I charged it and ran it right out a few times to see if the battery might revive itself a bit. Will that happen? I know that used to be a thing with batteries. If you kept fully using them and resting them, they reinvigorate.

or is it compeletly f#cked? Does it *really* need a battery replacement? I know Nintendo etc can be a bit stupid with their durability of products, but to leave it docked shouldn't have compeletly nuked the battery imo??? Shouldn't it have a cut-off? that's really stupid design if so. sorry for slight rant.

I got this Nintendo switch a little less than a year ago but now out of nowhere it drains so fast, leaving me to keep it docked. The joycons are still 100% however, so I don't know what the problem is? The same thing happens when I charge it, it goes up 1 percent per second, someone please help.

I have a switch OLED and I mainly use it for Minecraft (as my taste has developed to only desire minecraft for some reason) and every few minutes, my joycons just randomly disconnect. I'm over here getting jumped by a hoard of zombies, and BOOM the controller connect screen pops up. I have to wait about 5 seconds, press B before it goes away then brings me BACK to the screen for a second time to then connect my ALREADY CONNECTED joycons (I've lost a hardcore world to this..) Does this sound like a joycon issue? Console, maybe? Or is my system just haunted... help.

Playing the switch 2 hand held and then charging then an hour or two later unplugging and playing again or just playing it with it plugged in the entire time? Just trying to preserve it the best I can for as long as possible. Thanks

Everything else seems to be working, it makes noise when I touch the screen etc but it’s just black 🥲 works fine on dock.

To be fair I’ve bought my switch oled second hand about 4 years ago, the joycons have always been kind of loose and jiggly but they never had any problems till now. Recently the left jowcon has been disconnecting randomly while attached to the console and I have to take it out and reattach it to reconnect it, today the right one started acting up by disconnecting briefly/not registering input without displaying the tipical pop up when the joycon are disconnected. Can I still send the console to be checked out/repaired to Nintendo without charge or is it too old?

I was using some 3D custom printed adaptors for a deck controller and I’m wondering if they may have warped my joycon housings on my switch 2 console.

Can someone let me know if they feel a slight wave or indent when they run their fingers across the inside frame of the inside of the Joycon insert housings.

When inspecting I noticed slight waves in my frame close to where the rounded sides start. It’s the same on all 4 surface areas (top and bottom) on both the orange and blue sides so it could totally be part of the design. My OCD just wants confirmation lol.

Sorry for the very specific post but just wondering if anyone else has had issues downloading the demo for Monster Hunter Stories 3?

I've been trying to download it now for around 3 weeks and everytime I click download demo, it gives up the pop up box saying your download should begin shortly but server waits etc might mean a delay (something like this anyway). The problem is the demo just never downloads for me.

I have no issue downloading any other demos (I have downloaded Yoshi and Dragons Dogma 2 in the last week) so just wondered if anyone else has the same issue?
