Nail Care Nail Cut at Base
I recently had a finger injury at the base of my nail. As the scab has come off, I have noticed that the cut just barely went through my nail. It looks fine now with no infection, but I don’t know what to put on it to keep it clean while it grows out.
How long does this kind of injury take to grow out? Obviously I can’t put an acrylic nail or anything like that on it in the meantime due to the risk of getting glue or acrylic in the cut, but is there something I can do to strengthen it and to make it look nicer while it grows out? What are the chances that the nail falls off? If it does fall off, do I need to do anything to protect it while it grows back?

Unpolished Natural Nails How can i fix this?
I got an acrylic overlay thinking it’d reinforce my nails and after getting them removed i noticed I managed to crack my index fingernail right in the middle & do not want to cut it 😩😭 is there any way to repair it so i can slowly file down over time? All of my nails look rough now but the rest at least still feel strong . I’ll take suggestions on rehabbing them as well 😩 (going back to regular polish after this)

Discussion/Question what i asked for vs. what i got
i paid $100 for this set of nails that look nothing like what i asked for. i corrected her about 4 times, it took 2 hours, but in the end she just put the finishing polish on and called it a night. i’m not satisfied at all. i never get my nails done, so i have no idea how to go about this, but is there a certain way i should go about this ?

✨FRESH set ✨ Touch the Spindle!
Asked my tech if she could do Maleficent-inspired nails. I had a few inspo pics and told her to do what she wanted. This is where we landed. I'm so so happy with them!!

Tips & Tricks Removing Glamnetic Nails
I was struggling to remove my Glamnetic nails and came to Reddit for some advice. It sounds like a lot of people used the recommended method (soaking in hot water and oil while slowly lifting up nail with cuticle pusher) and it took a very long time to get them off. Here’s what I did and it only took me about an hour.
Some of my nails were barely holding on and even those weren’t coming off using the recommended method. Instead I soaked my nails in water as hot as I could handle with LOTS of coconut oil and dish soap. I used the provided cuticle pusher to gently lift the edges of the nails. I then used a dental floss pick to get under my nail and gently separate the nail glue from my nails. I went at the nail from the sides and slide the floss pick back and forth. I had to soak some nails a few times and it took a lot of patience but I finally got them off! hopefully this helps others because, it seems like people were spending hours over the course of several days even with the company’s nail removal oil!

Nail Art [Constructive Criticism Welcome] First time doing Cat Eye and Polygel extensions
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've recently been experimenting with my nails, previously I would just do a single solid colour of either gel or lacquer over natural nails, but after having my nails done for a wedding I realised I actually really felt more myself with them done, so decided to learn to do them myself. So far I've had a play with builder gel, rubber base gel, dip, and now Polygel.
Honestly, I'm really happy with how they turned out. Though I know I still have a lot to learn, especially when doing my dominant hand. My application is thicker than I'd like (I like my nails thin and scratchy) and my filing skills leave a lot to be desired if I want to get a good almond shape (please ignore the stubby pinky nail, my pinkies are always the first to break and I actually broke both of the pinkies before I even got the polish on the 😅😅).
But I'm happy enough with them to show them off and get some advice on how I can improve, and that's what matters most to me.
Edit: OMG I forgot to remove the audio, please ignore the Anime playing in the background lol

Discussion/Question How can I fix my nail drill?
Sorry I got work on Saturday cause I’ve been 2 days in work having to borrow another technicians nail drill and I’m not sure if I’m limited to only asking this on Sunday/Monday like the other subreddits.
My nail drill will not turn on at all yesterday I did a friends nails in my private room before going to work but literally before I left the house to go to my studio it was working but as soon as I got there it wouldn’t work at all, it had charge left, I assume it may have gotten knocked around in my bag. I took apart the drill itself to see if anything was wrong but it’s refusing to come back on I have no idea what to do, this is the drill my boss gifted me when I started working for her and I don’t have enough to get the new one I’ve been looking at rn. I just want to know if I can fix this so I can do the rest of my appointments this week.
There’s no sound whatsoever, the light won’t come on and the drill itself isn’t doing anything so I’m just lost
The photo is the drill I’m currently using(sorry ik it’s not the best but I didn’t use drills before working where I am, when I did it myself I only used files so this is on the cheaper side) I have a better set of bits so please ignore those in the photo it’s just the stock image I found

Nail Art Is this undercured?
Help please, does this look uncured? Is it wrinkly because it didn’t cure properly or is it brush strokes ? Each layer was cured for 60 sec except builder gel cured for 90s. Inspo was a the privacy screen trend. Tia!
