I genuinely just wanna play Gorr and Storm because theyre cool, but instead im stuck on the same roles ive been having to play since season 0

Like they can be multiple game modes and everything, they can do some balance around it idc just please i wanna play dps sometimes

I want to start by making one thing clear: I don’t enjoy being negative.

Marvel Rivals will always hold a special place in my heart. It introduced me to Marvel comics and the MCU, and it gave me something I was genuinely passionate about. Since Season 0, I’ve been a loyal player. I loved learning new characters, engaging with the community, and looking forward to every new update.

Every new season brought excitement me and every new piece of content gave me something to look forward to.
That’s exactly why it hurts to reach a point where I feel the need to abandon it.

I am so fucking tired of being forced to play tank and support every. fucking. season. And I already know what some people are going to say: “just instalock dps and stop caring!”

BUT I DO CARE ABOUT WINNING. i enjoy playing competitively, and i shouldn’t have to choose between playing the roles i actually enjoy and having a team composition that gives us a chance to win. I’m okay with losing if my team gave it their all and we worked together.. Thats fine! I don’t expect to win every single game and have the best players to ever exist on my teams. What I DO mind is having 4 dps who refuse to swap.

You know what? I don’t even mind solo tanking. I can handle that. what i DO mind is watching 4-5 people instalock dps, refuse to switch, and continue going negative while expecting someone else to sacrifice their fun to compensate for them.

I’ve lorded nearly every tank and support in this game, not necessarily because those are the roles I want to play every single match, but because SOMEONE HAS TO FUCKING PLAY THEM.

And what makes this even more frustrating? Every other update feels like another dps release. new character, new gameplay, new content to get excited about, and guess what? I DON’T GET TO ENJOY IT. 😐 I still haven’t been able to play Gorr once.

Could i instalock dps myself? sure. could I spend match after match losing because we have one support, zero tanks, and a team full of dps players who refuse to switch? absolutely.
but HOW is that fun for anyone???

Why should i have to sit through an agonizing 10-minute match with a terrible team comp, teammates screaming at each other, and people refusing to cooperate just because I want to play something other than the same two roles I’ve been playing for seasons?

It’s gotten so bad that i’ve started playing overwatch and honestly? I’d rather sit through a role queue and wait to play the role I actually WANT than spend an entire 10-minute match on Marvel Rivals fighting both the enemy team AND my own team. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I shouldn’t have to sacrifice my enjoyment of the game just because other people refuse to compromise… And the thing is, I LOVE marvel rivals. That’s the entire fucking point. I WANT to enjoy the new characters. I WANT to experience the new content. I WANT to play the game without feeling obligated to fill the same roles every single season.

It feels like I’m genuinely being punished for being willing to cooperate and be a good player.

They said when the team-up system revamp was coming out that they would pump out a lot of emergency patch notes. But we've barely gotten any, and actually, characters barely get changes to begin with.

I wish that they would do more emergency notes. And on top of that, nerf/buff MORE characters. Instead of like 10-15 characters. Do 20-30.

Moreover, I feel like they pick the right characters TO make changes to. They just don't do the RIGHT changes.

Overall, we all know the Devs have no fucking clue what they're doing, but god damn. It's annoying seeing the same 5 people in the patch notes every single season, and they don't fix the actual problems those 5 people have.

Im honestly sick and tired of dps, one-trick losers crying about heals after 2 deaths and refusing to peel. These morons genuinely believe they're the main character and cry the nanosecond you're not pocket healing them. You force me to fill, refuse to peel, then blame heals as I leave spawn for the sixth time? The ego and lack of thought astounds me! Either switch to one of the THIRTEEN healers in this game or STFU!!!

quick match and ranked. target bans are annoying, but why are we attacking people for their rank in quick match??

my profile is private and i have never touched ranked once, so im always “estimated gold three” or whatever it says. 2 times this past week people have pulled out that stupid rivals tracker for me or my teamates… in quick match…

I met this streamer I enjoy watching even after dropping the game over and over. And one day they were raging hard so I suggested to try another game. They refused and said that I don’t understand how much rivals means to them. And that they literally laid in bed all day, unkept until they got into streaming rivals so they finally started going to the gym and taking care of themselves to look good for the camera.

When I joked about touching grass, they said they would probably not be here (on earth) without rivals

This genuinely made me sad.

This game should not mean more than life.

I was the same way and would play morning to night. Raging and stressing about rank. Until recent situations made me realize how awful this game is and really sapping into my life.

Now I have a perspective of many of the toxic people I encounter. They either really have no drive to live life or just no life incels (majority of them) and just pour everything into this game.

But it’s eye opening because I never want to become that, right now, it’s sunny out and every time I go outside I remind myself how beautiful life is. People need to set some healthy boundaries in video gaming in general.

so if you know marvel rivals has been giving one week bans for people who had the mod known as unmounted blocker and i followed the steps removed all my mods and removed and reinstalled steam was still banned try to get my ban removed and was still banned so what do i do do i have to really wait a week to get unbanned ?

This season arguably is the absolute worst fucking matchmaking this game has ever seen. Idk what the actual fuck guangguang and zhuiong are fucking doing but they are actually fucking retarted. I keep getting Hellen Keller and Stephen hawking on my teams that don’t know what the fuck anything literally is. So frustrating when I look at my scoreboard and half or more of my team is super negative.

So many matches I’m in start fairly, then end with someone giving up just because we’re not rolling the enemy team and actually have to use our skills to kill our opponents, just like they have to do with us. Dude, just because you have to try and put effort in, doesn’t mean you’re being rolled and your team is ass. This is what a fair game is, both teams have to try, and the one who played better in the match wins.

I mean jesus christ, people were calling for fair games for ages and a quarter of the playerbase doesn’t know what to do when they’re in one. To these people, a fair good game is playing on a team with high-levelled people against much less skilled players and absolutely rolling the enemy team until you win in 2 minutes flat. No dude. A fair game means everyone does their best and gets the result they earned in the match because of their skills and choices.

Just because you died and have to try a different method or character doesn’t mean we’re “cooked”. People are so used to having the match decided when it’s started that they don’t know what to do when they’re can actually win with their skills, but only if they try. I’m happy that I’m getting into more fair games in this season, but I’m also annoyed because I’m encountering so many players who are just giving up because they have to put effort in. The games are always supposed to be like this, it is not supposed to be roll or be rolled, but now so many players just can’t handle a fair game.

I mean, this is just what I’ve encountered the past few days, and is my personal experience.

Hi , i wanted to share my ideas with you guys about the role queue argument people be doing lately , why instead add a piority queue like league for example you select 2 preferences roles like dps tank/strat , you are somewhat expected to have your first selected role for like 3 , 4 games out of 5 or smh this way ensures you get to play your main role for most of the games and solves the queue time on dps cuz you may be playing a tank for a dps main and that other dps main will play tank for you later , and we can add a swap button ingame that only works inside the base that you can swap with each others if things went bad

Lastly i can't emphasize more how much we need role queue soft queue any type of shit that can actually force the same baslinr composition for both teams so we can deny any sort of variables in this RNG matchmaking and people wont just climb by just having a good 2 2 2 games in a row

Unless they think doom in season 11 will bring the numbers up

I love this game.

I have cried laughing playing this game but there's always a group of people who take this game too seriously. And takes the fun out of it. Especially QM. A mode with NO stakes. Its like no one knows how to have fun anymore and that's literally what games are for. After a long or rough day you want to unwind with video games and then there's just angry people who just drain all that away. Like relax.

I have not changed my habit at all since I climbed. I'm a flex player and change whatever my team needs and counter play when I have to but holy shiiiiiit. It's either eomm, steam rolled matches, or just comp just does not match up and I try to make it up for but WTFFF

I go into pdm after shit game or when I want to connect to the community more. I love watching all the fights and the funny stuff that goes down. But why when I am goofing off with other people that don’t want to fight I always get picked on and killed. Pdm in my opinion is more for having fun that taking it actually serious. People say “ but it’s literally a doom match every one is trying to kill everyone” then they can go to the actual doom match. I can tell what it’s going to be just frome seeing the top person’s stats , I usually go invis so I can feel out a match and see if I wanna stay or try again. I just wanna watch the people that want to fight each other so I can learn and dance with some friends.

Okay im mostly play dps that are melee but i dont understand why Hitscan have technically the highest dps and her weakness should be movility and survivility but devs think they should have some sort of way to escape if they manage to stay in a place where they should not be, and im not crying because most of the times i win besides that but is just i dont understand that how characthers like hela, phoenix, Cyclops, namor dont have like a full punishment if they choose a wrong path or position for example hela or phoenix can ult or escape with the bird or even stun you and lets not talk about cyclops because i think he is the broken of all that he can use his lasers to shot you and go back and sending you back too is something i dont understand. Its like if i play a dive character mostly if i choose a wrong way to dive or route to get to the back line i can get a punishment of a few shots that i will need to use my movement or if they are a hela or other character if they land 2 headshots mostly of times i would be dead like okay i understand that hitscan should have a higher dmg because they really need to learn how to aim but i dont understand why they give a lot of movement because they should be op against a melee in the distance but if a melee can close up that distance they should be weak not have some sort of way to get that distance away.

….. I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY want a game mode that is QP with ranked rules so we can ban some characters. I have some friends I play with, some of them are vastly different ranks, others play on PC and some on console. It is impossible to play a semi-competitive game on quick play where you’re also forced to deal with meta slop constantly. I just wish I could play something that feels “ranked-like” with my friends where we can ban stupid Dino/Emma/Elsa/Psylocke/Gambit/Phoenix etc etc

Apparently asking for even the most basic of teamwork is too much and people will start insulting you and doing the typical talking over you on mic like a squeaker who never grew up mentally.

"Can we please regroup and not stagger?" Insults

"Can we please make some swaps, this isn't working." Insults

"Yo [insert character] can you deal with the enemy [insert character they counter]? They're kinda an issue." Insults

At this point, I'm just gonna shut up and throw the game when this happens. People like this genuinely deserve to have their elos and games thrown and I hope it pisses them off.

And I don't care if y'all say this is a "weak mental" or "what you're doing is worse than them being rude".

I'll do just enough to avoid the ban system, but I will 100% be doing everything I can to make sure we lose. If you can't be a team player, then deal with the consequences

Netease has genuinely so many flaws in the aspect of devving a game when it comes to marvel rivals its ridiculous. They are still commiting the same mistakes that they were doing 6+ months ago. And the reason why they keep doing this is because of the community.

We aren't banded together, We aren't working together. You have 1 half confronting the devs and telling them whats wrong, Then you have the other half defending them they did nothing wrong and people overreacting. And its worst when it comes to characters, because every character has their own community and only care about themselves. It's basically a "I dont care until it happens to mine" situation.

And netease constantly changing their mistakes after getting backlash proves they know whats right and wrong, they do it because no ones gonna hold them accountable. The people that we rely on and have the platform (Content creators) stay silent for the most part is pathetic.

The main sub is the absolute worst, talking about actually problems with the game and things that need to be fixed is just talking to yourself because everyone there defends the devs with their life and thinks netease does no wrong. Everyone scared of losing rivals so no one wants to fix the problems

Logged in today to find an account login suspended message (luckily it looks like it's just for a few hours) due to 'unauthorized client modification'. Would like to know if it's a specific thing I installed or if they've rolled it out across everything. Would've asked on the main Subreddit but I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to discuss mods there.

These are all skin mods, not configs or anything btw.

I swear to god these characters are the 3 (4) horsemen of the apocalypse when it comes to attracting the most god awful players I’ve ever had the displeasure of playing with. I myself am a healer main and I myself am also a Jeff main (since season 0 with a total 58% Win rate). But SOMETIMES I just wanna play tank and it feels like everytime I want to it’s one of these characters that are underperforming or making huge mistakes for absolutely no reason. And they’re always the first ones to go voice chat and start talking all this smack but when the endgame screen comes on and they have the lowest healing in the lobby by a sizeable amount it’s just crickets. It is just SO frustrating.

Tldr; ruined some guys day because our team went 4 DPS and lost. And I just wanted to apologize.

So I was playing competitive a few days ago with a new DPS character that I am learning.

Mind you, I already practiced a lot with this character and I was only doing my regular placement matches in an alternate account.

Our team decides to go 4 DPS. One heal. One tank.

We lost and apparently no one noticed until the end. It was our tank.

Instead of flaming just one person. This dude flames all DPS at the end.

And the way he flamed us made me think he was having a really bad day. And all of us DPS just further ruined his day.

Like he really just wanted help.

And it stuck with me ever since. Sorry dude.
