First of all, he’s playing in GM, this guy is top 500 basically since the game came out.

It makes me so mad when I see “hitscan only challange” dude what the fuck are you talking about? You can play hitscan, man, it’s not some insane difficult thing to do and it’s not like he’s never touched these characters before when he had repeatedly played Elsa, Widow and more and has the positioning and game sense of a top 500 player across console and PC. There is no “challenge” here, you’re smurfing, just say it, you’re smurfing and you wanna run lobbies to make content out of it.

Other people do this all the time and it’s got a long history to it. “Educational to GM” yeah okay dude. Almost all the popular streamers do these things to similar fashion and farm content out of it.

For example lolterm just got hard canceled for some gross stuff and people realized even before then all he did was Smurf for content.

I know Rivals has a lot of issues and in terms of the community they are taking slow steps to make it better but the next thing they need to crack down on is smurfing because it’s beyond easy and ruins the game across ALL ranks.

Sypeh has created so many accounts and reached rank 1 so many times, I’ll be honest I don’t praise this, to me all this says is he either bought accounts to grind which is just sad af or smurfed his way through ranks to get back where he already was before. It also tells me that competitive is a joke and too easy and you can climb too easily.

Which leads to where I should say a solution.

1. the game needs to recognize a Smurf and if they are going 50-0 in gold, raise them a few ranks. If they are actually low ranked then they’ll get filtered back down naturally.

2. Punish Smurf’s because it’s reportable so it’s been acknowledged as breaking the rules, if the system sees these scores in such low ranks then ban them for however long they decide. Just make it actually punishable because it’s beyond rare it ever gets punished.

Which also leads me to a side point here, kingsman destroying these GM lobbies should just be banned on that account, he is currently live streaming a bannable offense AND has live streamed this same bannable offense multiple times under the guise of “challange” and “being new to this character” despite that being a complete lie.

1. You can either raise the level cap again for ranked or do what deadlock does and make it a certain amount of wins.

This would lead to a more competitive scene but only for the “competitive” mode. I know Netease seems to be scared of that word but I imagine it’d be beneficial to all involved.

Overall there’s no good argument for this type of content or activity, playing or learning a character isn’t discovering a new type of math equation. You can do it on your main, god isn’t gonna smite you down for it if you lose a few and pick it up the next game. Not wanting to learn on your main in a video game 99.99% of people don’t get paid for is just beyond sad.

I guarantee there is a better counter argument for any argument made for smurfing or similar content.

Just had a thrower who proceeded to feed, even admitted that they went down from GM 1 to Diamond 2 because of "trash teammates" and were throwing on purpose, our team reported him and I got the message that the thrower has been banned for a day (yay?)

I believe we should get a full refund for point compensation, I got 12 points and lost 18 so overall I lost 6 points but why should me or my teammates still lose points when the thrower made the game pretty much impossible to win? If the thrower comes back and throws they'll be banned for a week, but they'll still ruin one or two more games

Every single game that i play support, which I'm usually forced to do or I'll just end up with a team of all dps characters, my team REFUSES to counterswap. Every single fucking game I've got some troglodytes on spidey, magik, BP, DD, IF, etc, against Emma, Bucky, Thing, Namor, Gambit, etc.

It just sucks ass. This game is unironically garbage atm, I don't think it's ever been worse.

Idk how everyone else feels but unfortunately, yes I am addicted to hero shooters, it is my second favorite genres of game and I love games.

So there is a handful of things keeping me here such as there is potential and the genre and it has its moments however few and far between.

But more and more games I play in 10.5 the more actually miserable I feel. The balance feels so so bad and only getting worse and yeah that’s a repeated topic but I’m ranting again. My point here is it doesn’t feel like it’s enticing to play. They run full dive? My heals tilt and I can’t kill anything because they have 20 escape options and banned their hard counters or my team doesn’t care to help me peel.

(Special mention where my stats look low because I’ve peeled all game and then get flamed because everyone in this game is addicted to stats like cocaine. Despite FH being the most unbelievably useless stat. I melee a Wanda and steal your kill, I get the FH, do you think this is important now?)

They run full poke? Well about 90% of the roster just got destroyed so we have to mirror or we lose but nobody wants to do that (rightfully so) so we lose.

There’s like 2-3 character’s you can play in each role if you’re trying to win and the others, well you’re gonna get flamed for one wrong move or get countered by a gust of wind.

On that point, TRYING to win feels like a sin in this game, the community is so bad and toxic that the mere thought of wanting to win feels like you are begging to lose. That’s kinda insane.

The competitive scene is genuinely fucking dead. It’s a joke and as a competitive player myself, I feel completely left out and forgotten which gives me almost zero incentive to play or try.

It’s just funny to me cause the devs cater to casual players but the casual players don’t give a shit what they do. I was a causal player once and sometimes I didn’t even look at the damn patch notes, I played for an hour and moved on and forgot I even played. Catering to that type of player is so beyond me, I can’t even fathom the reasoning.

The fact that they didn’t just churn out like 2 tank or 2 heal for a few seasons in a row, maybe have 1 be like a 3 character release just to even out the roles is insane.

It’s gotten to the point where I have to wait like a full second to scroll past the dps category to see the rest because of how many there are. This also gives one very little incentive to play because you encounter 3-5 dps again and again.

I’ve been playing other games lately which is crazy when seeing how many hours I’ve put into this game and how many more I’m willing to commit. They just are ACTIVELY pushing me away. This game does NOT want me to play. I play the game and I can practically feel it yelling at me to get off.

I'm C2 right now on console, and every game is just Bucky spam. It's so boring to play against. I don't know which genius thought it was a good idea to give a high damage character an ability cooldown buff with the Elsa team up.

I'm tired of facing Bucky every single game, and I can't ban him because either we have a Bucky on our team or we have to ban other, more important characters like Elsa, Dino, Phoenix.

Please, I'm tired of seeing this character in every game.

Your whole job is to wait for the enemy (usually backline) to be distracted fighting the rest of your team so you can swoop in and get some picks. But then you cry about how "poke play like cowards" because they shoot from a distance (meanwhile, y'all literally attack from behind), how they're too broken (most of them aren't that good in cqc, which you as a dive player should be forcing on poke players), and how they take no skill (LMAO, like most dive characters take much skill).

I'm saying this as someone who plays both, divers crying about poke are genuinely hilarious and most likely bad at dive. If anyone should be complaining about poke, it should be the 10 players who play flyers.

i lost a couple games yesterday (back to back) where i had people who climbed to this rank with animated cloak and dagger or rocket trying to fill DPS, and u can always identify this because they will lock the same 3 fucking characters; Wanda, Squirrel Girl and Blade (or ironman)

this doesnt mean u are only forced to play 1 role, but if you'd like to fill (mainly DPS as it is the hardest role) PLEASE just go into quickplay and learn the fucking character

alternatively;
- communicate w ur team, tell them u only know 1 role and either get 213 or more rarely 312 either way, much better then 222 99% of the time.
- if u play healer and ur teams losing DO NOT RAGE SWAP TO DPS THINKING U WILL BE ABLE TO BRING IT BACK WHEN U HAVENT EVER FUCKED TOUCHED THE ROLE (ONCE AGAIN HEALER MAINS THAT SWAP TO WANDA AND SQUIRREL GIRL)

All of this money that Netease is pulling in milking their braindead audience yet they do nothing to improve the game. It feels like such an insult to anyones intelligence. I’m so frustrated people keep buying into this so they get away with it and keep doing it. 😭😭

When a game is this aggressive with making people have fomo between the summer skins, current skins, deals, etc. and they can’t even balance their game with the funds they’re receiving that is so embarrassing and insulting to the community. I have no idea why and how Netease keeps getting away with this. I’ve already seen people with the new skins, ridiculous.

This goes specifically towards Venom, Cap or Hulk players, please, if no one else is playing a dive character, swap.

Unless you really know what you are doing, %99 of the time you are just going to jump into the enemy team and immediately die while your team is playing poke front to back in the background.

And yes, I know it is possible to play some of those characters more like an anti dive targeting and harassing divers, especially Hulk but like %90 of their players don't know they can do that.

Just today I had a Hulk trying to do that and went full James Bond 0-0-7, complained about heals and threw the match.

I’ve been getting console players for the past few games…some of these guys are miserable. I’m just gonna take a break for the seeable future. Triple support in quick match is so ass in quick play. Seriously can not learn new characters in peace.

Like it’s right here. What? He won’t have a head and that’s somehow gonna be a major issue for balancing? Like anybody doesn’t know where the flying glowing guy’s head is? We can’t just make that skin for Halloween? Actually no, Luna throws stuff for her primary fire, that could be a flaming pumpkin. They should just do the skin for Luna. Or Psylocke, or Jeff again, or Jubilee.

I’ve played Marvel Rivals every season since Season Zero and probably have close to 2,000 hours logged. I’m a Marvel fan, an Overwatch fan, and I genuinely love this game. It gives me that adrenaline rush that keeps me coming back.

But the longer I play, the more I question what’s happening with the matchmaking.

I get it: you’re putting six strangers against six strangers, and perfectly balanced games aren’t realistic. But lately, it feels like the goal is to keep you chasing the next win. Give you enough good games to stay hooked, then put you through some bullshit that makes you want to win one more before logging off.

One thing I notice is how boxed into a role I feel. If I’ve been playing support and try switching to DPS, suddenly the team situation makes it feel like I have to go right back to healing. Does anyone else feel pushed back toward their usual role?

Then there are the swings between rounds. First round, your team gets absolutely dogged on. Second round, suddenly it’s competitive—or you’re steamrolling the same people who just destroyed you. Third round, it’s a nail-biter.

Obviously, counters, different maps, ults, and people adjusting can change a match. But sometimes the swing feels so extreme that I’m sitting there thinking, “How is this the same lobby?”

It almost feels like my damage is more effective or their healing suddenly can’t keep up. I don’t have proof that damage or healing gets secretly adjusted. That’s just how drastic the difference feels sometimes, and I’m curious whether other people notice it.

Other games feel decided by one massive gap on the team. You’ve got a tank who seems completely out of their depth against the other tank, and everybody else has to play out of their minds just to stay competitive. Those are the matches that make me think, “Okay, apparently it’s my turn to lose.”

I can handle losing a good match. What frustrates me is feeling like I’m being handed a huge disadvantage, then given just enough good games afterward to keep queuing.

Sometimes the matchmaking is great. That’s part of why this bothers me—I know how much fun this game can be when a match feels competitive. But lately, I keep wondering whether I’m feeling engagement-optimized matchmaking kicking in, or whether playing this much has me seeing patterns in every frustrating game.

Anyone else feel this? And for people who disagree, what do you think explains those massive swings—even between rounds against the exact same team?

I love how so many people on this game ONLY turn their mics on and speak right as the game is ending on a loss. It’s always to say something snide, rude, or critical right before the team chat disappears. It always makes me laugh because it’s so cowardly. They know you can’t respond to them because the game is ending and they want to have this ego serving mic drop moment. More than half the time, it’s totally laughable and childish.
The insults and the whining are comedy gold but the criticism has me asking the same question: Why did they not say this during the match? If they wanted something to change, they could have just ASKED. Then maybe something could have been done to change the outcome of the match. Not all of the criticism is even bad or wrong in some cases. The problem is that these people choose to remain silent until the VERY end when they can be an asshole without facing any consequences.
If this is you, people like me know what you are. More importantly, YOU know what you are. That’s why you do it. My heart goes out to you and so does my middle finger. Find some courage.

I'm genuinely tired of these losing streaks in Gm or Cel. Looking at these match results, it's frustrating to keep losing games when your own supports spend more time chasing damage than actually supporting the team.

They dive straight into the enemy, die for free, and leave everyone else to deal with the consequences. These aren't Dps players filling support they're support mains who somehow forget that keeping their team alive is part of their job.

I'm not asking for healbots or perfect gameplay, but there's a difference between playing aggressively and constantly throwing your life away for meaningless damage. You can have decent damage numbers and still be completely useless to your team if you're never there when it matters.

At this rank, I shouldn't have to wonder whether my supports are going to heal us or run headfirst into the enemy team again.

These losses aren't always about the enemy being better. Sometimes your own teammates make winning unnecessarily difficult, and it's exhausting to lose rank because your supports refuse to play their role properly.

For example, my teammate invis pushed the enemy "Strange" toward my team and everyone die. It happened three times with absolutely no communication. And this Invis has been fighting Strange the whole time instead of healing us a champ invis....

I miss the people coming in there and laughing at my jokes or just posting clips, skin ideas, and memes, the new people that came in didn't like my joke like the old people, we all have our opinions, but they had started disliking me after I made my honest thoughts about the rework and ofc I wasn't going to just take it

After the rework most of the original playerbase was not going to like it, ofc, and in history of reworks go the old widow players are gutted, and sad and will post about it

The new black widow players are obviously going to get fed up with it, but I see both sides attack each other, I've been in that subreddit for awhile and it had over 60k people now it's 7.0k.

It's not right to attack someone over it, as harassment and stuff but discussing it in a friendly way is what I want, if people don't like the rework they can just talk in their post and comment on the rework widow posts and the new people can post about the rework widow and not commenting on old widow if it's a negative comment

I do miss her, but I have stuck with the character, both sides don't make it easy and the subreddit has no moderation anymore. I'm trying to post about other things like no kit stuff but skins and discussion about them

I see other communities and I see other people happy (except torch mains) I just wish they cares about black widow more at the start of the game so she wouldn't have been disrespected, or with the rework allowed the old kit to be apart of a team up but with the old stun and infinite stamina and slam with the old run jump and height, or better yet just remove the useless batons, she is fading in the background, she got a summer skin sure but others that got the summer skin got another before her, and those who care about her are the very dedicated people who will stay, but it just feels my favorite is just disappearing and doing the thing she did in endgame on vormir

I like the game a lot but it’s getting real tiring that about 60-70 percent of my games has either a Smurf on my team or on the other. I’m silver and I want to improve on the game but it feels to me if I have 1-2 people in the game completely out classing everyone else than I’m not learning anything.

Thor was support with me and then swapped back to tank and I just said fuck it and went dps where losing in style! Then have the nerve to be mad at ME. Update it happend again I just took the 15 minute penalty and uninstalled the game…

I play my main, it gets banned BY MY OWN SUPPORTS so I go on hulk. As hulk I was solotanking (and doing fairly decent since the team I was going against was really bad) the my team ult dumps, (not even winning the fight) and me and Iron man were the only ones with ult. They got all 3 points. Leaving my team in shambles. I was getting blamed for not banning devil dino. Though he was 15 and 12. Then I get yelled at over vc for 'not stalling'. Next round starts and we barely get 1st point cause our magic popped off getting a 6k. Our doctor strange. Whom just swapped off third support. Started throwing BECAUSE OF THE FUCKING 6K. Depriving us of a game changing portal 5 minutes later when I stalled for God knows how long during ot and killing 5 out of 6 enemies with my ult. But yeah I still get vc banned when I begged my team to get their shit together since the game was winnable.

The amount of teammates I get in this mode that have their brains in their ass is unreal.

Rng can fuck you sure, but these people are unbelievable. Building the most useless shit, playing like they've never held a controller before. And this game mode is literally made so that any skill level can still do well in it. I think people just actually do not read what upgrades they're choosing.

Most of the time these people aren't even new players on a low level account because then its easy to forgive, they're people with 100+hrs in the fucking game.
