A rant about patch notes as a whole.

Post image

They said when the team-up system revamp was coming out that they would pump out a lot of emergency patch notes. But we've barely gotten any, and actually, characters barely get changes to begin with.

I wish that they would do more emergency notes. And on top of that, nerf/buff MORE characters. Instead of like 10-15 characters. Do 20-30.

Moreover, I feel like they pick the right characters TO make changes to. They just don't do the RIGHT changes.

> Let's take Dino. That 25 health nerf was kind of stupid. I get buffing his counters, which makes him weaker, but why would you overly buff something to be stronger than the thing that's already busted?

> Another example is Gambit. His ultimate has always been his issue, and they keep nerfing his neutral (main abilities). Then, when they actually NERFED Gambit, the "nerf" they did was technically a buff. (Referring to the jump boost.)

> My final example is Luna. Unironically, despite her being the favorite child, I feel like she even gets mistreated. (Considering all they do is give her low-quality skins and don't actually balance her.) She does so much damage, and she has so much utility. I PLAY Luna, and I don't like it.

Overall, we all know the Devs have no fucking clue what they're doing, but god damn. It's annoying seeing the same 5 people in the patch notes every single season, and they don't fix the actual problems those 5 people have.

I agree with everything, until the Luna part. Saying Luna gets mistreated does not feel true at all when she just got a Legendary Skin with Chromas.

When I refer to being mistreated, I'm talking about her in the game. She's just a glorified DPS, at least in my perspective.

Where cosmetics are concerned, if I'm being honest... most of her skins, especially recently are very low-quality, obvious cash grabs. Even she kind of deserves better where that's concerned. Which is why I propose to stop giving her skins every few days, and give her an actually decent skin in a few months. They like introducing us to underrated/unknown Marvel characters and they do it so poorly. Luna being the prime example. They shove stuff down our throats where she's concerned. Like when she "beat Hela with the power of friendship" in that one comic.

But this post is about the actual gameplay rather than cosmetics. A lot of characters could genuienly be treated better 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Glorified DPS with crazy healing output that basically allows her to be relevant in any comp. Normally characters with good healing output don't have good pick potential and damage and ults like hers are reserved for off healers.

It's the whole reason why off healers suck in Marvel Rivals, because of characters and design philosophy like this.

What do you mean about Luna? Are you saying she's broken?

I share your sentiment with a lot of this but how can Luna be mistreated?

I feel like a lot of the roster would be happy with even half of the attention she got towards skins and being balanced in a way to where she was always in a decent spot.

The real mistreatment if anything is that awful personality she has in her interactions and all the attention she gets. I wouldn’t want the community to hate my character because of something trivial like skins or portrayal in interactions.

Mistreatment balance wise is Ultron and Mr Fantastic. Mistreatment in the ‘attention from the devs’ department is Human Torch, Hulk, and Storm.
