History๐ "Israel's right to exist as a state is incontestable" - MLK, 1967
Found this quote, and thought you all might appreciate it.

My comment: Hmmmm... By next decade I'm guessing these will fly surrounded by a veritable cloud of loyal wingman drones.

My Comment: Must remember this for the next debate about what the Israel-USA alliance is worth to the USA.

My spouse is an Israeli Jew. We've had kinship care of my nephew since he was born. He was raised with our kids as a patrilineal Jew in a Reform Synagogue. He had a bar mitzvah. He formally converted. He loves it all. We're considering adopting him as we have not heard from my sister in almost ten years. Our lawyer asked if there's any benefit in regard to Judaism. It's our understanding that it would have no impact, other than potentially conferring citizenship, which he doesn't need unless he chooses to move there, which he already can as a Jew. Thoughts?

As a diaspora Jew every attack on Israel/Israelis is deeply personal. But being here in the US is a helpless feeling. Its like all I can do is yell at people on reddit, which is probably pointless.
So Israelis...what can diaspora Jews do to help?
(P.S. cant make aliyah at the moment. Two elderly parents and two elderly in-laws to take care of.)

This video is exploring what Israel's opposition could learn from Hungary's political developments and Pรฉter Magyar's challenge to Viktor Orbรกn.
Curious what people here think! Are there lessons Israel could take from Hungary, or are the two political landscapes too different?

I cant tell you how many times Iโve done market research on a given product, only to realize NONE of the options(including the bad ones) are available here.
More so, trying to google the model of a stove or a fridge found in israeli stores gives only Israeli site results with either 2 reviews or none at all.
Whats the deal? Why are we offered so many no name brands?

Nature wrote the prescription. An Israeli team is getting it filled.
If you know somebody who has ever kept vigil beside an incubator, send them this one. The days are long in that room, and it helps to know whoโs working on making them fewer.

Hello everyone. I am a young privileged indian, with depression and quarter life crisis. I always feel guilty about being in depression even tho i am quite privileged (atleast thats what i consider myself) compared to many people around the world. But that got me thinking, how is the mental health of young jews and israelis who dont just see random racist comments, but full blown existential threats. Especially in times like these, where even citizens of your "allies" spread hate and anti-semitism. I saw many videos , shorts etc that claim they don't support anti-semitism but still call for destruction of a nation. Just trying to put myself in those shoes gives me dread. I just wish we, as humans could stop fighting each other and live peaceful happy lives, instead of hating each other, wars, etc.
PS, sorry for the bad english, its not my first language ;)

Hey there, I made Aliyah this summer but for some personal reasons I had to go back for a few months to the US. I have a flight booked for October 25th in the afternoon now (arriving in the morning on the 26th) but due to all the stress of moving, I might prefer to move it to the afternoon of the 26th and arrive ~9am on the 27th.
I would like to vote in the elections if possible but I'd need time to collect my bags, reach my sublet in Tel Aviv (I imagine public transportation might be more congested, though I might just take a taxi since I'll have so much stuff), etc. I know things in Israel can be generally overcrowded, especially in Tel Aviv. Would I be fine arriving to the polls in the afternoon? I'd especially like to hear if any tzabar Israelis coming to vote from abroad are arriving that morning, or if I'm just crazy for thinking this would be feasible lol

Iโm Israeli (born in Israel) and been living outside of the country for a while now
Iโve been following the global news and local news. And something I see every time is that any global news (unrelated to Israel, just a random update about some country or an individual) that is being reported on through the Israeli media websites and social media, the comments and reactions are always - how does this effect Israel? what is in it for us (us is always as a country)?
Sometimes I feel like missing the individual aspect of peoples in reaction, and itโs always about the nation.
Iโm wondering if anyone is also aware of this, and just to get your POV as Israelis - why do you think it is happening?
Why do we think we are so important in global random news? (Iโm not trying to hurt anyone, just trying to understand the mindset and reasoning)

I know that the /r/Israel discord server went private (or something like that) after oct 7. Is it back yet? Or is it just gone? I know someone who used to be on the server, and now they said that they can't find it anymore.
Thanks!
